We live in SC - Should we buy HH DVC?

Hi. We live about a 4 to 5 hour drive from HH. Should we buy our points here at resell and plan on staying at HH for one trip a year and trying to get WDW at 7month mark? We enjoy the beach but we have a nice camper also... I like to stay nice when we stay in resorts. It sure looks like we can get more points at HH for the same $$$.

I really am trying to justify spending 12 or 13 thousand dollars when we have a $20,000 camper. I want DVC but my dh likes to do other things.

I love DVC, BUT - if you have a really nice camper, that you don't mind spending time in, have you considered getting your Disney fix by staying at the Disney Campground!! It's awsome! Plus, if your that close to Hilton Head, you can always find deals if you want to go! I love to camp, (trying to get hubby to upgrade our popup to a Starcraft Traillite!!!), but just don't have the time to do a road trip down to Florida from CT, we usually 2-3 hours from home, and if I get my new camper! I would take it long weekends to my daugthers horseshows! (sorry I rambled). Anyway, the WDW campground is alot of fun, check it out! then if you wanted to you could always stay in a hotel/DVC resort for a few nights!

If I had a $20,000 camper, I wouldn't spend the money on DVC. I bet it's very nice, and you can stay at Fort Wilderness if going to WDW.

I was afraid that you would say that! I know that my dh will have the same arguments regarding the camper. We have stayed at FW before and loved it. I just wish they would do something with the pool. It is not up to disney standards.
