We Leave Tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow, 5am, we will be getting into our mini van and will be starting our adventure to Disney. We will be driving from cold, and icey upstate NY to not so cold Lorton, Va. They will be about a 6 hr drive. Then we will board an Amtrak train, along with our mini van. The train leaves about 4pm and arrivesw in Sanford, Florida on Sun. at around 8:30 am. We can't check into the Parkway International until 4pm. I don' know what we are going to be doing in the meanwhile though. DH doesn't want to go to the parks until Monday. Well, got to go and get the kiddies off to school so then I can finish packing. I will write when I get back. MICKEY MOUSE HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!!!!

I live in Occoquan, VA which is about 2 seconds south of Lorton. I've driven
to that train station many times. My DSis and DNiece are leaving Sunday for
the World too! They're staying at POP. The weather forecast for the first
part of the week in the Orlando area is mid-60's and mid-40's at night. A
heat wave compared to what you're used to! Enjoy!

Last year we stopped by our resort at 9 AM to pick up tickets, and they checked us in. The rooms are given out as they are ready, and since its Sun AM, you have a decent shot at getting in. You can still use the resort facilities, or check out DTD. There are also some great outlets around Orlando. Enjoy the trip!

We are from Louisiana, and believe it or not, the kids are a teensy bit sad they will miss Mardi Gras, but the fact that we will see Mickey soon helps!!
