Here's a bit of news concerning our trip in February 2014!

I booked our flights for our trip February 15 - 23, 2014!!!!!!! ​

I have been stalking Lufthansa's site for quite some time now, but their prices were continuously high. (think 2200 € for the two of us)
On Thursday I got a newsletter with ridiculous low prices (600 €) per person, so I tried booking, but their calendar was locked. So after a phone call, where I was told to just try again and again, I decided to do just that. Try whenever I had a chance.
Yesterday I tried, our dates were open, needless to say the rate was a lot higher, but still 300 lower than the regular site, so I booked it!

One more hurdle out of the way! In about three weeks our DVC 7 months window opens to book accomodation. We'll see what we will score there.

Well I am thinking a WDW trip in February might be a possibility

WOW! That seems so early to book but how wonderful it you got good rates. I am tracking for our Dec trip but haven't bought yet...plus I want things to be a bit more "firm" with my family before we buy tickets but hopefully it won't kill us on cost to do so. Congrats!

I am so looking forward to Aug 8th
Life here has been beyond difficult. My beloved mother passed away on June 16th. I was blessed to have flown up to New York on June 8th and 9th and spent two days with her. The first day was a great DAY She was still able to talk and even had me do her nails.. The second day she slept all day. On the 19th I flew back up to NY for her funeral . I had to travel alone(both trips) because Angelina has a lot of new health issues and is not allowed to fly . My Vito's stayed home to care for her and each other. This was also the first time I had been on an airplane in 16 years, I wasn't scared but my husband sure was ( he is the one who wont fly).
On top of that when I got home Friday I had an doctor appointment for Angelina and received some very upsetting news. She has another appointment this Friday with another type of Doc .
With out a doubt we need to get away from reality for a while and the fireworks cruise will be just the magic we need

Michelle, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I'm glad you got to spend some quality time with her recently. I hope things work out for Angelina - sorry for her also. You will definitely be ready for a well deserved break.

Don't know if you've gotten there yet, but when you or Tom reach the age of 50, you can ask for a senior discount and get 10% off! I swore I wouldn't be one of those "senior discount" people, but I was lying to myself!

Well, actually this is rather late booking for us. Contrary to the US, prices here only go UP and never really down. You need to hit a special or book right at the beginning when the booking window opens, when rates are lowest.

You really need to try Olivia's for breakfast when you next stay at OKW. We have never been disappointed.

Michelle, I was so sorry to read about your loss! That is just so hard. At least you got to see her one last time and have that memory. Please know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers.
And please keep me posted about my girl Angelina. I am so hoping for good news from the doctor's appointment today. Hugs for all of you!

On a lighter note, I am soooooooo looking forward to seeing you all again in August for the Wishes cruise. We really need to get together to chat while we are at WDW.

We have found Olivia's to be a hidden gem. Their food is really nice and you can always get a table.
We are so excited about doing the Wishes cruise again too! And so happy Michelle and her family and Jeff and his family will be there to join us. A cruise like this is best shared with friends.

We did have ressies but they had the table all ready as soon as we arrived and they were soooo helpful with our special dietary needs . We are both pretty happy about the airfare. It was affordable and every time I have checked since, it has gone up. So we were lucky.

And as of today I am on vacation for the next 9 weeks. I assure you, I love my pupils, but I am VERY happy not to have to see them for 65 days.


On a happier note ......
The first set of DCL travel documents has arrived and it is awesome to have those luggage tags in hand and see all the port adventures and ADRs all printed. But most of all I loved reading the word Platinum CC member!

I really need to get those planning updates done or we will be on the trip before I can finish them. So, let the planning go on ................

I am SO glad school is finally over.
Climbing up the CC ladder is such fun. You'll get some extra gifts once you are Gold and the gold lanyard is pretty too!

Day 3, August 9

Park day


I think we will have breakfast in our room

and then we will meet with Jeff and his family and head to the park we decide on.
I think Epcot might be nice.

If so we can have lunch in one of the WS countries.

We will spend the afternoon at Disney Hollywood Studios, trying to fit in a few more rides.

In the evening we will head back to the hotel to freshen up, then head to the Wave for dinner.

After dinner we will spend some time at the Magic Kingdom, watching the parade

and fireworks

until they close.
I guess we will get back to our room at around midnight and just fall into bed.
