We have now stayed at all 4 Moderate resorts ~ Just back from POR!

Hi! I read this to see what other people thought of POR since that is our favorite resort. We stay there 2-3 times a year and usually it is always in the AB. My kids LOVE it. I had to make a comment on the Frog since we stay there all the time and have encountered MANY frogs and other critters there. My kids actually LOOK for the frogs every night. You will almost always see them on the wall up high right next to the lights outside your room doors. Here is the reason, when it gets dark, those lights come on and attract the bugs. The frogs sit next to the lights and feast on those bugs. My kids look for them every night when heading back to the room. It is very cute outside, but I would not like to find one in my room either. I travel there alot without my husband since he does not love Disney as much as the rest of us do. He joined us about 2 years ago and the kids were showing him the frogs and telling him to look for them. Up until that point, I never gave it much thought, then he explained to the kids the whole light and bug thing. So, since he decided to join us on that trip, I realized why there are so many frogs there. :)

Yes, I think those little frogs are cute too -- outside!! :rotfl: In my room, not so much!

Glad you have enjoyed POR too. :goodvibes

This was a great review - well done! It makes me really look forward to our first stay at POR, and I do not think it will be our last.

Regarding the frog, and saying that you could have moved to the Mansions section, does this section have interior corridors and entrances? That is my only drawback to staying anywhere that doesn't have interior entrances, fear of what might come in the room:eek: I didn't read through the whole thread yet so hope this hasn't been asked and I missed it.

No, all the doors at POR open to the outside. The Mansion section is just more open and has less trees. Therefore, less chance of tree frogs I guess. :rotfl:

We have stayed at several of the different resorts over the years. We really loved POR. i think it was our favorite moderate resort, mostly because we though it was so beautiful. We liked CBR too but all of the "islands" look alike at night so it was hard to wander over to the food court at night for drinks & snacks & still find our way back easily.

So, I'm reading your review & looking at your frog photo and thinking that would be a dream come true for my 3 year old. She LOVES :love::love: frogs. And just as I'm pondering how I can ask WDW for our own personally frog in comes Boo holding a frog and sits it on my computer when she notices the photo of the frog on your makeup bag. She says they can be "friends". :lmao::lmao::lmao:

She just told me last week she isn't going to kiss frogs anymore because she's tried & tried and they don't turn into princes.
