I'm back!! (... and I've been so busy, I haven't even been lurking ...)

You wanted some feedback on your MK Day 1 ... so here it goes ...

Holiday Wishes is at 9 pm ... which means you need to get your spot by 8:30 ... so say goodbye to #2-#6 (unless you won't to blow off the fireworks ... and do you REALLY want to do THAT!! ) Instead - grab a Fastpass for JC or BTM - suck in some MK atmosphere - and grab your spot ...

Spectromagic is at 10 pm ... do you see a pattern here??

You have a basic decision to make: fireworks/parades or rides ... unless you think the kids will be able to hang late into the night ... cuz then you can do the rides after the parades/fireworks (and there probably won't be any lines then ...)

Enchanted Tiki is OK - but you won't be able to get the song out of your head for weeks!! I LOVE THAT SONG!! IN THE TIKI,TIKI,TIKI,TIKI,TIKI,TIKI ROOM

I have heard nothing good about Stitch ... (AE was waaaay better, but Stitch is cute & FLUFFY!)

Just watch out for the "Tiki" song ... Somehow, it is a "stealth invader" and ended up lurking in the DW and my subconscious during our last WDW trip - and would come out into the open at the most ridiculous and annoying times for about 2 weeks after we got back ...

I tried to get a room for the christmas week and all the rooms were totally booked. The best I could get was at the Wilderness Lodge Courtyard view for a little over $3600 with dining plan (7 days and 6 nights park hopper)and not counting the $990 for flight.

Did you try the Disneyparks.com site? That's where I found my code. It depends on what your dates are, but you might want to try.

Oh, and I can see ur from CT. We're driving; airfare is WAAAY too high!

Sorry this took so long, I finally got DH to give me an answer and he wants to save the money. So it is set in stone for us to go 12/21-12/26. I think our 1st day is going to be busy as I DEFINITELY want to do MK EMH that night and our last day (Friday), will be our pool and DTD day.

Okay, I probably haven't shared this with everyone but I have a thing for dragonflies. I'm mesmorized by them and have read that some Native Americans believe that they are souls of the departed. I've even gone as far as getting a tattoo of one across my shoulders as a tribute to my Dad. Anyway, I was watching The Rescuers the other day and rediscovered Evinrude the dragonfly. I went on to eBay to see if I could find a Disney pin of him and I did so I bid on it. Well, so far, it's still at $0.01 so cross your fingers for me!!

Here it is!

I can't wait to wear it to Disney!

No, someone outbid me at the last minute, but I found a Buy It Now for $3 with $3 shipping so, that's not too bad.

I have to stay off Ebay b/c I've been bidding alot and you know you have to pay for that...

I've had a nagging feeling that I forgot to do something and lo and behold, my 90 day mark for the sleigh ride passed. Luckily, I called just now and the time I wanted was still available.

On Monday, 12/21, we'll be heading to Whispering Canyon for a 5:05 PM ADR and then taking a sleigh ride around the resort at 7:00 PM. Then afterwards, we'll watch the Electrical Water Pageant. If we're not too pooped afterwards, we'll go to a park for some late night fun after the Pageant.

I'm so excited!

Here's to wishing all my Diser friends, a LONG vacation when the time comes!! My boss actually went on her yearly cruise last week and one of the girls here was complaining about the week dragging along. I said, let it drag b/c then when it's time for my vacation, I'll have days that go slowly too. Karma's good like that.

Okay, really??? I never heard of that but now I will be sleeping for only 2 hours per night during the week leading up to my vakay.

Just put our last payment on the trip! Hooray! We've been paying it slowly, rather then doing it with credit cards!! It took us 10.5 months to pay for a $2300 trip! And $1000 of that came from our rebate check!

I'm so happy we slowly paid with cash! Now we just have to worry about saving for small presents for the kids. We've already told them Santa is helping us go to Disney for Christmas so they know not to expect much, but we want to get them some small things.

I'm so excited!!!!

I swung by AAA and paid the rest of our trip, too ... Disney VISA!! - but all the cash is in the bank waiting for the bill to come ... I basically tried to set aside $100 each month - for the past 19 months!! Plus some from our income tax refund ...

I have the DD's spending money set aside - but some of it is in Disney $$ - and since they're no longer printing them, I may just hold onto the bills I have ...

Now I just have to get some more food $$ put away, and we're set!!

Won't be too long now till we're walking down Main Street, USA!!

Hi there - sorry for not replying sooner (been busy - but has it really been two weeks? Time flies when you're counting down to WDW!! )

Disney dollars aren't available at the stores anymore - and I think that is where I heard they were no longer printing them ...

Speaking of counting down - about this time 35 days from now I should be putting my head on a pillow at AKL!!

We will be paying the rest of our trip off on Friday. We've been paying cash, too, a little at a time. Come Friday, we'll have our trip paid! I can't wait. It is always more official when that happens.
