We had the most WONDERFUL/MAGICAL trip! I LOVE the POLYNESIAN & POFQ! PIXs ADDED!

Thanks for your wonderful review and pictures Fantasia! Makes me even more excited about our upcoming October trip!

Your children are beautiful! I'm sure you enjoyed every moment with them!!

Fantasia,
I'm so enthralled by your posts and pictures! I was wondering if you could tell me about the little suitcase. Do you take that to the parks with you, and how does that work. Where do you leave it on rides and in shows? Just wondering if this is convenient or a hassle. I'm traveling with 3 diabetics and a parapalegic and wondered if this would be a good thing for us.

...."You're Welcome!" everyone! Glad I can share the pixs! And thanks for the compliments!

It was my daughter's little back pack that has rollers on. I carry it when it gets crowded. When it's not crowded, I just roll it. It makes a difference! We also used it on our July trip. It makes it a lot easier for all of us. On the rides or any attractions, it wasn't any problem. The bag is small, and I just put it between my legs. The children and I do not do any roller coasters or rides that jerks a lot, except Test Track and Barnstormer and we did just fine.

Welcome Back Telly!

Thanks for the report and pictures. Glad you had a great time!

Fantasia!!! What a GREAT trip!!! I LOVE LOVE that sunset picture but I bet it was just that much more impressive to see it up close! :) Your kids are adorable and y'all make a precious looking family!

I'm curious....now that you've experienced some resorts...do you have a favorite? Or a top five list you could put in order of most desired? I'm always curious how travelers rank the resorts. Thanks!
Tara

Thank you for the pics. We'll be at Polynesian tomorrow!!!

I did notice your children are wearing flip flops to the parks. Are they more comfortable? I'm trying to decide between sandals & sneakers.

Great pics!!! :cheer2: Glad you had an awesome time, we're heading back to the Poly in 11 days!! Do you have any more pics of the grounds at the poly? :wizard:

I do have favorites! This is how I rank it.
~Polynesian~ :sunny: :flower: :flower2: :cloud9:   for best resutarants (Kona Cafe and Ohana) and have entertainment dining (Spirit of Aloha!)-- Great pool! Awesome slide! I enjoyed sliding down, it was so fun!-- Beautiful beach-- You can watch "Wishes" and EWP from the beach/pool-- the room is big and can fit 5 guest-- Excellent transportation...resort on monorail..boat access...and bus too. Atmosphere is just simply gorgeous and exotic! Very well themed. My summer resort.

~WL~ :lovestruc :cloud9: :mickeybar  the whole resort is breathaking, especially during the holiday! The lobby is just truly amazing!. And the view from the courtyard....beautiful!! I enjoy standing in the balcony watch the beauty of nature.-- Whispering Canyon.. great food and fun staff...but can get too LOUD!-- the room is nicely done...bunk beds are great!-- I love the hot tubs! They have two hot tubs there! The whole ground is just spectacular!-- You can see fireworks from certain area and view the EWP. The transportation is great...boat ride or a quick bus ride to MK is great! The bus ride to other parks are very good too. My winter resort.

~French Quarter~ :jester:  the whole resort is quaint and charming! Truly very pretty and very peaceful!-- The resort is small and easy to get around. -- Great food court...lots of varieties and very tasty. Very nicely themed...mardi gras props hanging from the ceiling-- The pool is very fun and nicely themed. The transportation was good. Though we had to stop at the Riverside, we don't always stop at all 4 depots there. This is what happened most of the time...POFQ always gets picked up first (so there's always room to sit) and then to Riverside and stop at the South depot and leave to the park. Going back to the resort from the park was no problem.. we never waited more than 15 minutes.-- Boat transportation to Downtown Disney is wonderful!! It is very relaxing. and it drops you off right there in the middle of Marketplace which is great! Less walking for us! Beniegts!!! Gotta have them!! My anytime of the year resort!!

~ASmovies~ It holds special memories for me... and this is our very first Disney resort with my husband and children (besides our one night stay at CBR-YUCK!)

~POP~ 3x
~CSR~ 2x
~ASSports~ 2x
~CBR~2x.. :earseek: twice they failed me. cockroaches in the room on my two trips! :scared1: Clogged up tub...wet carpet (not damp..WET!)...the AC was overflowing with water (they really never did fixed it, they just dumped the water out which started the water to flow again)... had to sleep with the carpet blower on for 2-3 nights! I have them another chance... and they failed me again on the second try. Should I try for a third one?? That's okay... the resort is too big for me anyways... And the pool seem kind of small for a big resort like that. No wonder the pool is always crowded. :crowded:

This is based on my experience and my opinion... so please no debating please. :)

I didn't bring their gym shoes. We wore the flip flops this past June, July and August to the park. It was very comfortable for us. I got tired of having hot sweaty feet! It's very hot during the summer and we just want our feet to breath. Mind you, we don't do parks all day. We go in the morning and by noon, we're out of there. We go back to our resort and relax. We saw lots of folks wearing flip flops too, I'm sure they are comfortable too. I will however will do the gym shoes during winter, but summer, no I won't. We didn't get any blisters, no sweats, and no stinky feet either!

Lucky you!! You're leaving tomorrow!! WOW!! I wanna go back! Booo hooo! Have a wonderful time!! Maybe you'll bump into Tikiman aka Steve. He said he will be there this weekend!

I didn't know they have the surrey bikes at the Polynesian. Is that pretty new or am I way behind the times? :)

Your pics are making me want to try the FQ. It looks like such a nice atmosphere. I stayed at CBR once and I did not like it alll. I've stayed away from the moderates since then, but FQ seem like it would fit my style. Plus, I love what they've done to the rooms! :goodvibes Thanks for sharing your pictures again!

Wow! Glad you had a great time. I love the Poly!!!

You took some great pics, and you have a beautiful family!!!

I can't wait to go. I have the worst butterflies in my stomach today.

I was wondering...did you ride the bus when you were at the Poly? I was curious about how their bus service is?

Sounds/looks like you had a great time! I always enjoy reading your posts.

Love your report and the pictures are fantastic. Your children are gorgeous and....... everybody's thinking it but no one has said it..... you have a smokin' bod. What I wouldn't give to look that great in a swimsuit!

Your pictures of POFQ are very unique. I love the ones of the pool at night. Thanks again! :flower:

We only did MK while we were staying at the Poly. But we did went to Downtown Disney. There were lots of folks waiting for the bus. The bus went to Typhoon Lagoon first and then to DD. If I remember it correctly, we stopped at CR first then on to TL. It wasn't too bad. I think from now on, I am only going to do DD when I am staying at POFQ! It's nicer to take the boat ride to DD, it's very relaxing and romantic at night especially when there's full moon out.
