Just got back yesterday and wanted to share that we got dream fast passes! They were really worth it with the crowds and heat. So keep an eye out for those CMs with black messenger bags.
My 5 year old son and I were walking by the water next to the jumping jellyfish ride in CA at about 10:45 on Thursday morning. Everyone else in our party was no where to be seen so they missed out. Dad slept in and grandparents were doing the SegWay tour (which they were the only two on the tour that day!) We had fun going right on rides while they had to wait and do the regular fast pass thing. It was fun! When the crowds are not bad I can see the dream fast pass thing not as great but for this busy trip it was a great prize to be had..of course not as good as Mickey's Penthouse prize but I will take what I can get! Best part was they let us use any dream fast passes we had left over on the next day. It says one day use but we were able to use them the next day. Don't know if this always works so maybe we lucked out.
For some reason I thought if you took the rest of your party that did not get the dream passes to City Hall, they would give the passes to them as well. Anyone?
Part of the YoaMD promotion where CMs award (randomly) prizes to guests inside the parks. A dream FP is one of those prizes. It allows the winner to visit each FP attraction once without using the regular FP system. They have tabs on the ends which you pull off every time you want to ride the attraction. Note: You can only use the Dream FP once per FP attraction.
Here's a picture(this one happens to be at WDW, but it's the same concept):
If one person in your party wins them and the others didnt you can go to Main street and get them for everyone. Last May when we left Alice in Wonderland they started giving them after 4 our our party of 6 passed them so they said go to Main street and they gave the other 4 the passes. They just asked wheere we won them and what time.
Oh yea in Disneyland we got the ones for Disneyland and California adventure on the same lanyard.
