Blue groups, red groups, yellow groups, and I think there was orange or green. They are brazillian's. They weren't wild... but annoying! We were at Fantasmic waiting for the show, and there they are sitting in the mid section with their own color group and they were shouting non stop!! They finally stopped when the show started. I mean they were "YELLING!!" I have no idea what the heck are they saying...so that is even more annoying! That's disturbance of "peace." I know there's no such thing as being quiet in the parks. BUT they were LOUD!! And who know what they are saying.

Same thing... walking down the streets of MGM and everywhere else...They were "YELLING!!" Why??? You can be proud of your country... but not like that! That's being obnoxious!! You don't see Chinese or Japanese or Indians or any other folks from other countries "YELLING!!" and "SINGING!!" LOUD!

You don't see any Michiganders yelling "GO BLUE!!" or "GO PISTONS!!" Can you imagine every each states yelling their own sports team???

Anyways... We were avoiding them! And we notice some folks were avoiding them too! I don't blame them.

Blah..blah..blah... sorry this thread is looong. I had to vent!

I know exactly what you are talking about. We just returned last night and the tour groups were something else. Those shear number of unsupervised teenagers is never a good thing. They'd have 2 adults carrying flags for a group of 30+ teenagers.

We also went in July last year and while there were many tour groups then I noticed the number of them has greatly increased this trip.

They were even at SeaWorld and I was nearly swallowed whole by the group of them screaming somesort of cheer as they walked along in mass. All I can say is YIKES!

When I say them coming we quickly switched our path to try and avoid them. Seemed like the safest and best option. I still loved my time in the "World" and didn't let this get to me but it was something I noticed and tried to avoid when possible.

Welcome back Fantasia! Did you have a good trip? Aside from the tour groups, how were the crowds? :sunny:

We had the same problem at the end of June. It was horrible. At one point we were standing in that LOOOOONG indoor hallway to get on soaring and they were in front and behind us!!! I had such a headache! When it came time to go on the ride I told the CM I DIDNOT want to be in the same "cage" as them. He said he "totally understood" and sent us off by ourselves to the next cage. MY DH was embarressed and I was relieved! Other guests kept looking at us and a couple of them smiled. I think they were jealous 'cause I thought of it before they did ;)

Crowds? We managed. We did EMH in the morning at Epcot. I felt we should have gone to another park. It was packed! The same thing happened at MGM EMH at night. I heard the wait was about 45 minutes at the RnR!! That is crazy!! However, we did well EMH in the morning at MK. We were able to do 3 rides in an hour. I know if I went during slow season for EMH, I know we could have done 5 in an hour.

The heat wasn't too bad until the ending of our stay. Early in the morning and we were already sweating! It only rained on us for one day and it only lasted about an hour.

We went in the morning... have lunch... then back to our resort. We headed back out around 6pm. We had our misty fan. This helped a lot! I just kept filling them with ice and water. We always try to walk in the shades and sometimes stop in the shop just cool off.

If you plan the trip right, then you don't have to worry about the crowds and the heat. It's doable.

I've heard so much about those tour groups. Being the Parent of an autistic child, there is no way would could go while those tour groups are running around. My ds would freak out! When are they usually at WDW?
I'm sad to hear about these groups. My dh and I are hispanic (Mexican-American), and when things like this happen, it could give all hispanics a bad name. :sad2:

Sounds like you had a great time even with tour groups. :goodvibes :wave2:

One thing to watch for, if you are standing in line to get a fastpass, make sure there is no one in front of you from one of these groups with 50 or so tickets to run throught the machine. It takes forever.

It's not a hispanic thing - It's a teenage in large groups thing. I notice the same problem when the cheerleaders and dance groups are at Disney.

O.k. So when do the cheerleader groups go? I think you are right. Unsupervised teenagers are a nightmare waiting to happen.

Well, once in a while you do. Around bowl time, espicially if Michigan is playing in one of the Florida bowls, then large groups of Michigan fans (and fans of whatever team they're playing) will be in the parks for vacations. But I'm a Michigan fan, I have nothing against ppl yelling "Go Blue!" ;)

I know exactly what you mean. thats why I avoid going during the summer months.
what gets me is when they take it upon themselves to sing while in line or pre-shows.
ugh! I also hate it when your in line and some idiot in front of you motions for you to move aside while 50 of their friends catch up with them.
oh, and another thing while I am ranting....I absolutly HATE to see them washing their hair in the ladies restroom sink! it is totally disgusting to go to wash your hands and see gobs of long black hairs cloging the drain. funny, the hair is always black. never blonde, brown, red or grey. jet black.

Nik's Mom - I don't think it relates directly to a racial type thing. To me it is a large group especially unsupervised teenagers that cause the problem.

Slightly OT - While waiting in a short line to enter FP or TT an older gentleman was ahead of a small family. All of a sudden he started hollering for his family and put his hand up to block the family behind him. He then waited until his entire family entered with their FP (at least 20) before letting the family behind him go. These people by the way were not in line they came from somewhere else. The family ahead of me was very ticked to put it mildly. I couldn't believe he didn't step aside to wait on his family or that the CM didn't do anthing.

Hmmmm. Someone cut you in line, the groups were annoying, was there anything good about your trip? Please post!

Hi Nik's Mom! I am Hispanic to, and my DH is American, and you're right, i know isn't a racial thing, but it does give us a bad name.

Yes us Hispanic like to dance, we like salsa and fiesta, but come on, we know how to behave and respect places and people.

We had the same issue last year in Miami, every park, or place we went it was pack with kids and teens, some were local field trips and others were foreign tours, lots of Hispanic, but the Brazilian's were the worst ,loud and rude. I was talking to some of the kids from Spain and they were complaining too.

Oh god i hope they go back home by August 1 :scared1:

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 I forsee this thread turning into a debate. Gosh...please not another thread closed. :scared1:

Just for the record, we had the opposite experience. We encountered many tour groups and they were all well-behaved.

We encountered the tour groups ug so annoyed! we were standing watcing the park opening at Animal kingdom you know the show with mickey and friends welcoming you to the park we had never seen it never been their early enough and this whole blue group shoves past us it was like ok the rope has not dropped yet where do you think your gonna get to by getting in front. but luckily im light and little enough that my mother-in-law picked me up so i could see (im 4 foot six inches tall) just a tiny thing.
