We Got a Phone Call from our Marine in Kuwait!!!

We received a phone call at 11:08 last night - which was 8:08 a.m. in Kuwait. It was just so good to hear his voice!!! He sounded really good - his voice was upbeat. He said that he had spent 5 days at the "port" bringing back some equipment and that when he got back he had two boxes and 5 letters waiting. He said "it was just like Christmas!" He said after 3 weeks, they finally have showers and electricity, so life is getting a
little more bearable. They still have no PX, so the snacks and personal hygiene items are a huge plus! We only talked about five minutes - he was using someone's cell phone and he had paid the guy "big bucks" for just a few minutes.

The last thing he said was to "keep the prayers coming."

Just wanted to update you all.

Wow, brings tears to my eyes. So emotional about it all because one of my best friends DH leaves tomorrow. Continued prayers for your DS and your family and all our military and their famlies.

That is great news..always good to get a phone call.

My DS is in Kuwait also and we got a phone call maybe three weeks ago. He too was upbeat and was laughing a lot which we were glad to hear. He wanted some more sun cream as he is very fair skinned.

Lots of prayers and good thoughts not only for my own DS but for yours and all the men and women activiated and any serving in these zones right now...
