We did it! Kinda

That was a very touching story. Congrats to you both and look forward to the day things change and this isn't even an issue!

Congratulations! I never have understood any of the arguments against gay marriages. It is beyond me how anyone can feel threatened by the love one person has for another.

What exactly is a domestic partnership?

That's great. Hope you don't have to long of a wait before you can do a legal marriage. Until then I hope you both get to live on :cloud9: and your days are filled with pixiedust:.

Congrats! Here's to many more years of love and happiness! :cheer2:

 CONGRATS TO YOU BOTH!!!
Live, Laugh, Love~regardless of the laurel resters!! :teeth:

You Go Guys!! My bil and his partner have been together a while too. They have rings, if they had a ceremony it was on the QT in LA. I love them both and can't imagine bil with anyone else. Can't get why the issue gets people's panties in a twist but we do live in the USA and everyone has their opinion. Wish it wasn't ripping my church in half but that's life. I'm happy that you registered-I know that you don't need it but you'll be glad you did it. I was married 26 years ago and at that time hubby and I didn't need it or particularly want it but we did it and now I glad we did-gives me a little warm place in my heart that we've been "hitched" and saw it through (for now :rotfl: ). Best wishes

Oh Rick, Congratulations to you and Joe!!!! I can't wait to hug the both of you!!!

May this just be the first step, that legal marriage is not far behind. I truly believe that love conquers all, and it will once again.

Congratulations Rick!

Congratulations to you both! That was a sweet story.

You know, you could always move up here to Massachusetts! Then you could make it legal without waiting. :)

That is awesome Rick and Joe! CONGRATULATIONS! Much love to you both!

Great couple:groom: :groom:
Congratulations! pixiedust:
A little kiss for both of you from "Uncle" ;) :love2: :love2:

Congratulations :) The day will come when you can have your bad DJ too :)

Congratulations to the two of you! :)

When Dh & I were planning our wedding (we were married 19 years ago in June) there was no way either one of us wanted to go through all that was involved in a big wedding. We ended up getting married by a JP in dh's parents yard with just our family present. Then we all went out for a feast at a Chinese restaraunt.

The next weekend we had a cookout at my sisters house with family again and some of our friends. It was very low-key. My wedding dress cost $29.00 at J.C. Penney! :thumbsup2

Maybe we'll see you next week at the world. We are leaving saturday and will be at the Boardwalk... :cool1:

Congrats to you & Joe, Rick! I hope that someday you can have the expensive food, bad DJ & drunk family at a wedding reception!

Good for you!!! :) :Pinkbounc :)

It's not enough to have a commitment ceremony. It should be legal. It will be one day. Just think how great it will be when you can have that great big legal wedding. You have each other & that's what is most important, don't ever forget it!

Have a long & happy life together.
