We dealt with the SPIDERS...what will it be this year?

I apologize for not popping in sooner, I had no idea your family was going through this.

I will pray for your Mom.

 for you, I know first hand how difficult this is. Very scary.

Take Care, Lana :grouphug:

So sorry to hear about your mom. I'll be praying for you all to have wisdom to make a good decision and peace about whatever you decide.

Thanks you Kate!

Queen, just wanted to let you know I've been thinking about you and hoping that you got some answers with the doctors on Tuesday. for you and your family.

Thanks Kathy! They cancelled the family meeting on Tuesday because there's been a change in plans. I am putting a post together and will have it up a little later! Thanks again for everything:hug:

You and your family are in my prayers  I am sorry I couldn't get over here sooner to wish you all strength to overcome this difficult time

Thanks Doll...I knew you're mom would have kept you posted! Good luck tonight sweetie...we'll be thinking of you!

I am so happy they kept the name...it just wouldn't have been the same if they didn't!! Geodoc is far too modest to post this ... but I will....he is a proud new season ticket holder!!!!

I'm back and getting caught up!

Good for him! I know quite a few people who were trying and didn't get tickets. And I too am glad they kept a) Winnipeg and b) Jets. :thumbsup2

Congrats Geodoc! I'm jealous.

Thanks!!! I was very lucky to get tickets.....I will actually be splitting a half season ticket package with a friend......can't wait for the new season!!

Thanks Megan:hug: Looked like you had a fantastic trip and I really enjoyed following you on FB....it was a great distraction for Jas and I...thanks for the updates:thumbsup2

Here's hoping everyone had a great weekend! I will give you a quick update on our mom and then we'll get on with this PTR:thumbsup2

We ended up not having a family meeting last Tuesday because everyone decided the open heart surgery route was just too risky (told us point blank she probably wouldn't survive) so then they were going to transfer her to Ottawa for a different surgery called (forgive me I'm not a medical professional .... valvioplasty??) that isn't as invasive and traumatic but the latest is she is scheduled here for this surgery on July 19 if the surgeon that is coming in from Ottawa accepts her! It's amazing how much information can get thrown at you and none of it sticks...things are changing here everyday! They sent her home on Friday because they don't want to chance her getting an infection before the surgery date so Home Care will come in every morning to get her up and ready for her day....and we wait!:confused3

Geodoc and Peg were at a wedding yesterday and between the ceremony and the reception they had a couple of hours so they picked me up and we went to have a cocktail and an appetizer on a beautiful sunny afternoon and discuss not only our mom but our upcoming trip. Everytime we mention something about not going my mom gets mad at us...so as of right now we are going ahead with the planning! You all know what mother's are like...we don't want them getting mad at us;)

This update brings us to Sunday August 28! Now, originally we had a DTD/pool planned for this day but I think we're now looking at flipping our Monday to Sunday. klacey1 was kind enough to tell us that Monday was a high crowd level day at IOA (where we planned to go on Monday) so we're looking now at doing IOA on Sunday!

I thought I had this major brain wave a couple of weeks ago....I was thinking about Mini Montana and how many things she can't do at IOA because she isn't tall enough and how unfair it is to her to have to wait for everyone else who is riding. I looked into Discovery Cove (thinking it is something everyone can enjoy) and thought what a great bonus Sea World is too! Well....apparently....I was the only one that thought this was a good idea...everyone had their heart set on IOA so I guess that's where we're going:yay:

We'll be renting a van to get us from the resort to IOA and we thought since we have our own mode of transportation that day that we will stop off-site and have dinner somewhere different! I still can't believe we're going to fly by the seat of our pants that day and not actually plan a dinner:eek: horror, I know:rotfl2:

Hi Queen! Still thinking of you and your family. Sending prayers your way on a regular basis.

Hope the surgery on July 19 goes as planned. Am glad to read that the trip is still going ahead as planned.

Yay on going to IOA on Sunday instead. We are going on a Monday and now you have me thinking if that is such a good idea  We may just risk it and hope that it is not too crowded!

Lol at feeling horrified about not having a dinner planned!

Queen, thanks for the update on your mom. You all continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.

Is the purpose of IOA to see the Harry Potter attraction? If not, why couldn't someone take Mini Montana to the Universal side?

Have you thought of eating at CityWalk at Universal? They have some great restaurants.

Hey Queen. Glad to hear you're managing things okay with your mom. Keep us posted  I can totally relate to the whole flip flopping days around

Hope everything goes well with the procedure they are doing on your mom. Sending all of you warm thoughts.

I hope your Mom's surgery goes really well. Hurray for no dinner plans-it's good for you :)

I always thought that Monday would be less crowded than Sunday, but the US/IOA boards set me straight! I'm crossing my fingers for both of us that they're right!! I hope 8/28's crowds are nice and low!! I forget-- are you all going the 28th as well??

Thanks :) My pics are all up now if you are looking for something to do :)

Perfect...can't wait...as soon as I'm thru on the Boards I'll head over to FB!!! Thanks for letting me know!

Thank you so much my friend:hug:

I honestly thought Sunday would have been the busier day but apparently not....so we're switching!! I think you might be ok with your date....we found the crowds in September extremely manageable!! We'll keep our fingers crossed for you!

I still can't believe no dinner plans....flying by the seat of our pants!

Thanks Kathy:hug:we sure appreciate it! Yes the purpose of IOA is for Harry Potter, we are huge HP fans. We're not sure how we'll do all day with the heat but we'll do what we can do!

No we hadn't thought of that....can you suggest a good one?:worship:
