We both got real jobs: now we can go to Disney! Sept 2013 PTR! TR link posted 9/29!

You will love enchanted Tales with Belle. It is a very cute show.

We will be seeing Ariel in her fin form for the first time in September. We skipped it last trip because I only had Gabriel but I will have my Niece this trip so Ariel will be a must do.

Gaston is alot of fun!

We love the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It Parade. We did not get the full experience last trip because the rain kept Interrupting so I have my fingers crossed for the full parade this time.

We have met Peter Pan many times but have never been lucky enough to have Wendy there. Maybe this time:thumbsup2

Funny we usually get Tinkerbell and Vidia everytime we see them (although last September we got Periwinkle also). We have never gotten Rosetta so we are hoping for the opposite of what you are hoping for;)

I will be interested to hear what you think of Country Bear Jamboree. That ended up on the same list as Stitch (never see again::yes:: ) for us after seeing if for the first time.

Frontierland Hoedown is at the top of my list:thumbsup2

You will love Push!. He is alot of fun.

We have eaten at Cape May 3 times. Once for breakfast and twice for dinner. I finally accepted that it is just not for us but only because I am the only one in our family that eats seafood and we just do not eat enought to justify the cost of the buffet. The service was excellent each time we ate there. It was never a problem or long wait to get food at the buffet and there was always plenty of fresh hot food available. It was very loud but that was true about every place we ate while at Disney.

I really want to do the Villians show but just can not work it into our schedule. I think you are correct that the park is going to be packed so maybe it is just as well since I really do not enjoy large crowds. I will be excited to read your review when you get back.

People have been waaaaaay too stressed about FP+ and the magic bands. This testing period is just crazy. I'll be glad when the hoopla dies down and everything is rolled out!

The Country Bear Jamboree is super cute. It's definitely worth one viewing!

I feel the same way. I have not read a single thread about fastpass+ or Magicband and don't plan to until everything is completely ironed out.

Yeah, until everything is all said and done, I just don't even like hearing about it.

It looks super adorable! Ariel is my favorite! I enjoy having her in fin form but I'm also glad we caught her and Eric in January 2012 before they switched back.

We've never seen Move It! I've heard great things about it so I'm really excited to do it this time.

I've read that Peter and Wendy now meet by his ride but the meets end pretty early in the day so we're gonna have to squeeze it in somewhere! Rosetta was with Tink on our first trip in January 2012. Then this January, it was Tink and Peri in their winter wear. I read a post about the switch back over to a different season's fairy and Kennythepirate has it listed as Tink and Vidia right now. Maybe it'll change again before September? I've never seen the fairy movies so I don't know too much about them.

:rotfl2: For some reason, we did Stitch on our first trip and didn't like it and we chose to do in again in January just to make sure. I'm not sure why but I guess we needed to make sure?

Glad to hear about Cape May. We enjoy seafood so hopefully we'll enjoy it. We're also not that hard to please either. As long as the food is decent and the service is good, we'll be happy!

I've gone back and forth about the Villains show! I don't deal well with huge crowds either so I'm a little hesitant but since we're there and have worked it into the schedule, I figure we have nothing to lose by trying it out!

YES I totally agree. I just can't bring myself to get involved/all that worked up until we know for sure what's going to happen. Things keep changing so often that it's too crazy to even bother.

Glad to hear you liked it! :goodvibes

In your Mickey Mail there should be:
-Little Magical Express booklet
-Yellow ME tags
-Luggage tags with Mickey, plastic, ones to keep/put on your bag
-The big booklet with your hotel/pkg reservation and the arcade points/planet hollywood discounts and such.

I do remember getting them separately before but who knows?!

Oh ok that's what I was thinking!

I got the ME BOOKLET and the yellow tags but not the rest of it yet!

Courtney - Did you ever get any of the Disney shirts from Hot Topic? Specifically the tanks? I am seriously considering get the Lion King and Ariel ones. Just not sure if I am too old to shop at Hot Topic :lmao:

A very specific question I have is whether you have to wear a cami or another tank under the Hot Topic tank.

Yes I did! I have 4 of the tanks. I see no reason at all why you couldn't wear them! I know people of all ages who have bought them.:goodvibes

I haven't worn another shirt under them. I will say, depending on the shirt, some of the background colors are light so you just have to watch the colors of your undergarments but I find them fine to be worn alone.

Sorry for the selfies (and my messy room!) :rotfl2: but these are my examples of them on!

I have my bathing suit on under in this picture.

Hope that helps!

The tees look so cute on you and your room looks like my daughters:rotfl:
I think I am going to bite the bullet and get a couple.

Under the 40 day mark, hooray!! :cheer2:

Your MK plans sound great! And Cape May for dinner sounds fantastic! It is on my list of places that I'd like to try someday, so I can't wait to hear how you end up liking it :)

And how lucky you are to be at Disney for the Villains Bash! It's good that you are not setting your expectations too high just in case it's crazy, and hopefully it won't be as bad as you think!

Aw thank you! :rotfl2: It starts out clean and then I just don't know what happens :confused3

 Good decision! There's so many different ones to choose from too! :goodvibes

Yes! So exciting! :cool1:

Thanks! I'm really looking forward to it so I'm hoping it's delicious!

That's how I'm looking at it! With these Limited Time Magic things, you just never know so I'm just gonna be happy with whatever experience we get out of it! :goodvibes

So today is our 28 DAY mark! We're officially under a month!:yay::cheer2:

Our photopass plus came in the mail a few days ago!

Also, today I read on the Disney Parks Blog that they've officially announced Jack and Sally will be meeting at MNSSHP! :cool1:

We LOVE NBC so we're pretty excited about it. It also helps solidify our plans for the 20th. Originally, our plan was to go to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal. BUT, the tickets are crazy expensive, like $95 each. :scared1: AND, it's the first night and a Friday which means I'm sure it's going to be crowded which means we'd need to buy express passes to see everything we want to see. That put us at $300 for a few hours. Yikes.

So I started thinking of alternatives and this is what I was thinking:

1. Add a park day to our tickets and just play it by ear (probably the cheapest option!)
2. SeaWorld is doing discounted tickets Monday-Friday, admission is $50. We really liked SeaWorld when we went in January 2012 and we want to go back.
3. Do another MNSSHP. A little more expensive but still less expensive than HHN.

With this new announcement, I'm really leaning towards doing 2 parties so that I know we can do everything we want to do!

Discussion Time!

So, this is going to be our first time Pin Trading and I'm honestly so excited about it. I've been looked at the #DisneyPinTrading on Instagram and I just can't wait to start collecting! So tell me about pin trading. Any tips/hints/fun stories? Where are some good places to trade?

Saturday, September 14: Waterpark
This will be day 5 of our trip and we are heading to a waterpark! I'm not sure which one yet as we'll be going to both. I don't really think there's any huge advantage to going to either one over the other.

So we'll go to Blizzard Beach today, which is open from 9-5.

I have to do some serious research on the waterparks because I don't have the slightest clue what to do and where to head first! :confused3 Any suggestions?

I do know Goofy meets at BB so we'll want to meet him!

Afterwards, we'll head back to Pop and get ready for dinner because we have reservations at Ohana at 8 pm! :yay:

Wishes is at 10 tonight so I'm hoping to catch at least part of it from the beach at the Poly! Also, I would like to catch the Electrical Water Pageant. We kinda saw it go by when we were waiting at the MK bus stop to go back to Pop in January but other than that, we've never seen it!

Yay for Jack and Sally, and yay for a second party! Winning!! I’m not insanely stoked on them being there, having only seen the movie like, once but I know Paige will DIE if I get her a video of them saying Hi or something for her, it’ll be great!

Pin trading! AH! Did you guys order some off like, ebay/amazon? That’s the best way to do it! I bought off there, and had a lanyard from Disney, and a few that I had bought to keep. Every day I put some on my lanyard, and then trade away all day with CM’s. I usually don’t wear my lanyard, I think they’re kinda tacky in pictures, and I really only trade when I see one I like, so it’s easier to just keep it in my bag! It gets addicting fast!

Never been to a waterpark! Not really into them, so obviously I have no suggestions!

Yay Ohana! YUUUUMMM!!! I loved that place, I did find the food to be delicious, but not as amazing as I had expected from all the reviews on here, but it was still super good! The noodles were the best part!!

Congrats on the 28 day mark :cool1:. We will be under 30 this Friday:thumbsup2

I read about Jack and Sally also. I think they are going to be like the Dwarfs. Get in line about 45 minutes before the party start or plan to wait a couple hours. Kenny the Pirate said the last time they had a meet and greet in DtD the wait was 4 hours:scared1:

I think you made the right decision on two MNSSHP days. I am actually considering it myself because I just do not think we can get everything done in one night.

Sadly I know nothing about pin trading so can not help with that ;)

For what it's worth, I would skip Universal. Sounds pretty expensive, and frankly I never want to leave the bubble :lmao:

If you don't decide to do a second party you'd still find plenty to-maybe even treat yourselves to a nice date night dinner with the money you saved!

Before our recent trip I scoured the DIS for water park info and came up pretty empty. There are threads dedicated to info on them (much like the resort threads), but they are pretty slim with info. The best thing I got from them were detailed park maps which in the end did me no good :rotfl2: At TL I'd say do Humunga Cowabunga and Crush n Gusher first. The like for both was fairly long once we found them (but that was July)

And Pin trading-never done it (I'm commenting a lot for someone who is of absolutely no help aren't I?) I want to try and may on the next trip. I want Maddie to wait until she's a bit older, but it seems like a lot of fun and a great way to buy fairly inexpensive souvenirs. I seem to remember that there's a big "pin stroller" near the entrance to AK and that the resorts are great places to trade.

I hope you enjoy 'Ohana! I love the food!

We have been to BB the last two September trips and I really do not think you have to have a plan at all. We have always done everything multiple times and that includes spending a good amount of time in the Ski Patrol area which I am sure you will not be doing since it is for little ones. The only thing I have ever waited more than two minutes for is the chair lift and SP. The SP wait can be up to 15 minutes and the chair lift can go up to 30 minutes.

So we usually just tour to limit the walking. We always finish by 3pm at the latest which for us has always been when it starts raining and they shut alot down because of it.

Yay for 28 days!!!

We liked Blizzard Beach when we went, but it was tiring, all the walking around in the heat, and lots of stairs!

Ohana sounds soooo good. I assume your BF is a meat-guy, lol. Sounds like a good plan for after dinner too.

I can't believe Universal's Halloween party is even more expensive! $60 already seems like too much to me.

28 days, ah it will be here before you know it! :yay:

Yikes, that does sound like a lot of money for HHN, I'm sorry you guys won't be going after all :(

Well my vote is definitely for a second MNSSHP party! We originally were only going to do one party, but there's so much to do that I knew it would feel rushed to only do one. I also took into consideration that we probably won't be going back to Disney during October (or even anytime for quite a while) so we might as well take advantage of attending the party while we can! The addition of Jack & Sally makes me VERY excited, I'm also a big NBC fan, so this kind of solidifies that I made the right decision doing 2 parties and perhaps it will for you too!

But no matter what you do I'm sure it will be a good decision! SeaWorld at a discounted rate is awesome, and even just getting another day in the park would be great!

You already know how I feel about pin trading! Not really sure I have any good tips though! You will notice that tons of cast members wear landyards and the ones I've come across are always super friendly and don't mind you looking! Some stores and resorts also have pin boards that they put out at certain times of the day that you can look at. I know Pop has theirs out at i think 2 times of the day, though I'm not sure exactly what time. Also one night when leaving MK before heading to the buses, 2 cast members had out 3 huge pin boards! So always be on the lookout, you never know what might pop up! The pin store in DtD is awesome and you will definitely go crazy there!

A day at the water park sounds fun! And YUM for dinner at Ohana! I've wanted to go there but couldn't seem to find time last trip or this trip to squeeze it in. If I went I'd be doing EXACTLY what you plan on doing- try to see Wishes and the EWP. Sounds like a wonderful night :)

Anddd I realize this comment turned into a novel, sorry! :p

Yay!! Getting close! Sucks about HHN @ Universal, I would die to do that, but you're right...first day would be tooooooo crowded. My second choice would be MNSSHP also, seems like a lot to do there and you won't have to worry about meeting all the characters at once!

I have no tips on pin trading but we plan to do it too! I ordered about 75 pins off eBay so were all set! I know a lot of people told me the store in your resort will have pin trading at certain times as will a lot of other shops throughout the parks. I'm a little nervous myself!

And fun plan with BB! We are skipping the waterparks since we have Schlitterbahn so close and it's the #1 rated waterpark in the nation. But it would be fun, maybe when our kiddos are bigger we will do it.

Do 2 MNSSHPs. I feel like I'm a guinea pig going to the first one. I'm doing a second party just so I know more of what to expect.
