I found your post on someone else's TR about the Disney Store's Halloween Party and I wanted to see what you thought about it. My DS and I went yesterday too. I wasn't too impressed by our store. Like you said way to small and too much stuff. We were there for our parade, which was just in the store, not to get popcorn or anything else. They tried to play a game of hot potato, but the kids weren't getting the concept and then when they did get it, you couldn't really hear the girl who was singing the music stop singing. So they gave up on that game. It was nice to see all the kids dressed up, but other than that, it just wasn't what I was expecting.

the hot potato game at our store would have gone off better if they would have used two stuffed animals (just too many kids){they used the sound system in the store and turned it UP! }, the "Mickey" says game went alot better (but an older CM came to help the younger girl that time), but, the find the Hidden Mickey game was not all that great (they had taped a small picture of Mickey and a Jack o Lantern on the shelves) they just did not have enough out--and you know how people are instead of being sure that ALL the kids get at least one some people were walking around w/bunches while other kids were crying...

I don't think they stopped for popcorn --their parade was around the mall, though!
my little one and I left and went find popcorn and an iccee! He had had enough and I was past it for a little before he asked for a drink...

I use to be the children's department activites coordinator and lead for our local B&N bookstore; so, I have ideas of how they should have done things--but, it was all bad for being their first party --they just need better guidelines to follow!

but, it was a nice outing and as you said fun to see all the children all dressed in their costumes..... if they would have held their games in the center of the mall I believe it would have been a better arrangement :confused3

Thanks! for coming over!!! :welcome:

Good Morning, Connie & Peter Pan! Hope you are having another gorgeous day!!!! :dance3:

Kimmy: Um, from your pictures, it doesn't look like you need to lose any weight at all, dear heart! Just saying... :goodvibes

I'm not so worried about the numbers on the scale, but I would like to get toned! :goodvibes

LOVING all the pics! Cuteness overload!! AHHH!! ;)

Sounds like they had the same games at every store. Sorry about thinking you got popcorn. Actually after our outing, my DS opted for pizza and a cookie. We weren't there for Mickey says game or the hidden mickey's. But my DS had already found several of the hidden mickey's and was asking what they were for. I just don't think they realized how many kids would show up. So hopefully they do do it again and they get better each time. I don't know about in your town, but in our town the event was listed in our free Parent magazine, so they should have known that alot of people would be there. Oh well.

We no longer have a Disney store either. Probably best for me. We were best friends when the grandchildren were smaller. Not to my budget tho. We still have an outlet and a real store down in Branson.

Leanne, lucky you talking to Connie. Isn't she just the greatest one ever?

Now onward. Good morning Connie. Hope you are going to have a good day. It is so raining here. Like 2 inches already and still coming down. I assume soccer will be cancelled tonite. I just hope we can get the football game in tomorrow. Although I have never seen them cancel a football game. It is just no fun sitting in the rain.

How is my little Prince Peter Pan today? I so loved those pictures. Do you have Princess C today?

Be sure to spread hugs and kisses all around. Oh, BTW, we haven't forgotten the Toy Story DVD. We found the VHS and Don is going to put it on a DVD for you. I know he won't get it done this weekend cause Sandi and family are here. But it will get done (before Peter Pan doesn't like it anymore) soon.

Ginny
Yep Ginny, she's definitely A++++ in my book!

Connie the package will ship today. Everything has been handled. :thumbsup2

Thanks!! Leanne!!!! turkey took my car again this afternoon for work; than called to say the crew he works with were going out to eat at Osyka for their Hibaci (sp) special tonight!!! can't wait for him to be using his car and his gas!! :upsidedow

Ginny thanks!!! Peter Pan will be soooo excited!!!!
:wave2:

I love the pictures at the mall :thumbsup2. Oh and :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 to a "picture of a picture" :lmao:. Our mall doesn't do decorations like that for Halloween. I am working this weekend, but next weekend we are going to head to Pensacola and go to the mall. It won't be too long before all the Christmas decorations start going up. I put mine up not too long after Halloween.

Hi Connie,
Peter Pan is so cute.
I love all the pictures. Your mall really decks up for Halloween. Our mall doesn't what so ever. Also the pumpkin man is a nice touch. I can't believe you disney store had a party. I see peter Pan dressed up like himself.:goodvibes
I also noticed that every kid there is Disney and then the one kid is a firefighter. :rotfl:
Have a nice weekend.

Sounds like a great way to spend the day. They have "Boo at the Zoo" at our zoo too, but we've not done for years. Our youngest is in town for the weekend with his girlfriend and we went out to dinner with them tonight.

Hi! Kathy
that sounds like a fun evening!! my oldest is mad at us at the moment because we went out to eat w/o them!! Dayne (17) walked in from work and right back out on his way to a haunted house (instead of his homecoming dance :confused3 --he has promised me he would go to all his Sr dances)!

My oldest is not speaking to me because his ex-girlfriend was here to see me today (I told him to get over it). Our boys didn't go to many dances either...they skipped most of them except for prom; our youngest one wasn't even going to go to prom his senior year but his wrestling coaches daughter (who went to another school) told him he had to go and they went together.

It was fun...we just met Catie today and she is a very sweet girl.

Hi Connie! Boo at the zoo sounds fun. What are you still doing up after the day you've had??? I'd be :faint: Can't wait to see pics!

Ashton is still AWAKE  so I'm trying to stay awake watch the LSU game and dis!! :upsidedow--probably wouldn't be able to sleep anyway...Dayne is in Baton Rouge for a haunted house and the LSU game is in Baton Rouge tonight:eek: (traffic was horrific in Baton Rouge today!). He drove last weekend so one of his friends is driving tonight (and I really don't care for the kid :confused3 )!!

Think I may try and do the pics tonight...nothing else to do...:rotfl:
