My absolute favorite is them holding hands, and of their backs! That's so precious. Especially since its Tink and Peter! :upsidedow I really just LOVE it! I bet you will always treasure that picture!!

Boo at the zoo sounds so fun! My zoo has that too! :goodvibes Your pics make me really want to go!! I wish our giraffes were that close though! WOW!! That's awesome. I've only been to one zoo where they were that close and always wonder why more aren't. :confused3 I LOVE giraffes!

Our zoo has it too. I haven't been yet, though. A couple of years ago, we had a zoo membership, but I was let down to know that that didn't include admission to Boo at the Zoo, so we never did it. There's a lot going on in our community for Halloween this year (three days worth), so we'll be busy doing other things, but Connie's pictures certainly made me want to go!

We have a platform in our zoo where you can pay to feed the giraffes. I mean, you are practically in their faces. Very cool! :thumbsup2

Ginny: Believe it or not, the sun is shining brilliantly for me today. But, a good thing never lasts, the rain is back on it's way tomorrow. I'm thankful for the one day reprieve, however!

Good morning, Connie. Sorry...I'm a little behind and just now catching up. Love the pictures at Boo in the Zoo...I especially love the one of the kids holding hands on the bridge--precious. And I also like the giraffe picture--giraffes are my all-time favorite. :)

Thanks! everyone!!! I love giraffes too! and so does Peter Pan!!
Global Wildlife safari here you can feed the animals (they have giraffes, llamas, bison, cows, father david deer, a red german deer that Bambi is cast after, and a lot of animals I don't even know the names of many of them...we are going to a bonfire the Sat before Thanksgiving (if we had camping equipment we would be able to camp out--but, we'll be home in our nice cozy bed :rolleyes2: )

I just don't know what we are going to do for Halloween; I do not want to go to Danny & I's old neighborhood (like we always do)...really wishing I had extra cash to go to the FL coast! oh well I'll find something to do...

:wave2:

That's so awesome that you have all those animals you can feed! How fun. We have this place here that's a small amusement park called "The North Pole" and its open year-round all Christmas themed and you can feed reindeer!

Does your zoo do the whole Boo at the zoo thing throughout the whole month of October? I just checked ours and it only has it the 31st and 1st (of November). I'm considering going! I may wait and see how the weather is looking!!

That GWS sounds like a really fun place for everyone. We have our lowly zoo. I haven't been since Alex was probably 3. The Spooktakular is going on right now. We always went to that the the girls and grandkids were younger. Our mall has trick or treat on Sat. night. Sheri leaves early on Sunday for Minnesota for the week so I will probably be with her on Saturday. I don't know what I'll do without her for a whole week. We are supposed to get Austins pictures this weekend too.

I'm sure we'll go to Sandi's for Thanksgiving but truthfully I would rather go to the beach. Don is off all week and Aust is out of school Wed, Thur, Fri so we'll probably head out early Wednesday morning.

We've been to "The North Pole" a few times (I know of two--but I think it is three) Gwendolyn & Dayne loved it and I'm the only one in the family who likes farris wheels so I was so tickled to brag that I was on the "highest" one in the US or is it the world on highest on natural ground--we really need to plan another CO trip.

that would be fun to do Boo at the Zoo on Halloween both of our zoos do it the two weekends before Halloween; to answer your question the Baton Rouge has stations set up around the zoo and do it during the day (it is included w/admission and New Orleans does it in a large field at night and it cost extra ($17 pp) away from the animals(we did it with the older two a few times when they were little--for little ones I prefer the BR way to the NO way--NO is geared more to kids between 6-10)...I just don't know what we are going to do--probably nothing--Ashton does not know better yet and I do not want to go across the lake and I don't like going into a subdivision I don't live it:confused3. Hope you Landon have a great time whatever ya'll decide to do :hmghost:

Our mall use to trick or treat but I can not find any info saying that they are going to have it this year!
A thanksgiving at the beach would be a lot of fun...Christmas to for that matter...but having to share our holidays with two families it is out of the question...I know if I told mom and dad lets rent a cabin in TN they would be ready to go!!!

I say I'm making plans but really I think we are just talking cause I'm not sure Don's dad will make it till Thanksgiving. He may surprise us all but he is not doing well at all. So we'll talk plans and see what goes on. I do know that when something does happen his Mom will be coming to our house for a few weeks which suits me fine. She'll cook dinner everyday and clean. I love her. I'm just hating what is going on with dad. He doesn't know anyone now and he tells her that his wife is dead and why is she in his house. So sad for her.

Yeah, I love that ferris wheel! I'm not sure which highest record it has, but I know its one of them!! It's beautiful! If you ever do plan another trip to CO, let me know! It'd be super fun to meet up in the North Pole!

It sounds like your zoo's have everyone set for Halloween! That's awesome! :thumbsup2 I hope you have a great time whatever you decide doing too! Whatever it is, definitely won't top MNSSHP  Wish we were both there!

Oh, that is soooo sad! I'm sorry to hear it. It's hard on everyone to see someone that was once able and clear minded go through that. Many  to you, Ginny!

Ginny, I remember when my grandmother was like that; it is soooo sad! My grandfather at the end thought I was my mom when she was young and it would really spook him  , my FIL has no clue who I am or my kids. I believe he only knows Danny's mom, Danny, and Danny's sister...but, he does not speak so who knows...

that is really sad and I'm sure it is really hard on her...does she have someone close to her on a daily basis to help her remember its just his illness!

Her youngest son comes by everyday to see how they are and Don's sister DonnaK works in town so she goes by every day. The Hospice people are there 3 days a week for her. I call her once a week and send her a card every week. He gets dressed every morning in his overalls and then puts his pj's back on over them. It is quite a struggle. He will take medication from everyone but her. He tells her she is trying to kill him. That has to be so devistating to someone that has been married 63 years.

Poor Danny's parents. I don't know which is worse not being able to communcate or not shutting up. They both are terrible and not deserved by any means.

Good morning Connie. Hope your day is good. It's raining. I will go back and look at my sunshine picture from yesterday. How is my Prince Peter Pan today? Give lots of hugs and kisses from me please.

Ginny

Sorry I was MIA today; we spent most of the day outside today!! It turned out to be a beautiful day! :yay: that and I was trying to beat the addiction of being on the computer ALL the time :lmao:

Hope you all had a wonderful day!!
:wave2:
Connie

So, as many of you who have followed along know I just do not know what to do about Halloween tomorrow night. Well, I just found out that Gwendolyn's school will have a halloween party at 6 and the Greek neighbor hood will be having trick or treating from 4-6...(I like this idea because Peter Pan is having nose issues today and I really do not want to make it worse in the night air:sick: )
also where we go to the cement pond the fire department there is hosting a trick or treat party of some type...
well now I have two places to think and tell Danny about...:hmghost:

decisoins...just hope the weather clears up like they say it will :hmghost:

everyone have a great time!!! tomorrow!!! if I ever decide what we are doing I know Peter Pan will have a blast!!
:wave2:

Both of these sound like real good ideas. Safe you wouldn't have to be out long for him to get some loot. If the weather will just hold out for you would be great. I hope he gets to have some fun but we all know his health is your number one issue.

Have a great day. Hope you don't get our rain but I do hope it goes somewhere away from here.

Ginny

Happy Halloween to you and your family Connie. Hope you have a good day and I hope my little Peter Pan is feeling better. We have sunshine and it is supposed to last for the next 7 days. I won't know what to do with myself.

Ginny

Hey Connie!!
How was your Halloween?
I'm sure what ever you guys did must of been fun. Hope Peter Pan got a lot of candy!
Have a good day.
Barbara
