We are having a very lazy day!! I woke up with Danny and rearranged the living room furniture (in the dark mind you--Joe walked through and asked if I needed help; No, just don't like it this way....the kid must think I'm nuts)
I have no place to put a Christmas tree and I could not see my fireplace (we have Joe's sofa in the living room w/ our furniture as well as all Peter Pan's toys --starting to get to me )

Peter Pan is playing w/his dinosaurs at the moment so I thought I would do some visiting while he was occupied!
I don't have many choices in re-arranging my furniture in the den. The room is 12X20 with a double window on one end a a double door on the other. The TV is in the front corner with the sofa along the opposite side toward the front and Don't recliner in one back corner and mine in the other. We also have a double closet at the end of the sofa alongside Don's chair. The room is actually a 4th bedroom but we made it a Den since it has 9ft ceilings and the big pocket double door. So I can move the TV from the left corner to the right and the sofa from the left side to the right. We need the chairs at the ends tho or you are too close to the TV. Does any of that make since or did I ramble? I so remember having the grandkids toys out. I kept them in a storage bin tucked under my antique bed that you had to have a step stool to climb on it was so tall.

I put the Christmas tree in the living room which just happens to be across from the double door to the Den so we can see it. I have one of those skinny trees so it won't stick out into the room so much. We had it in the Den the first year we lived in this house but I got tired of sitting on the sofa all the time so I brought the chair from my bedroom to the den. Thank goodness the colors worked. My sofa in the den is red. Don's chair is brown leather and mine is a print with brown, red and yellow. My walls are off white and bright gold. I am a colorful person.

I love shows about dinosaurs. Well except Barney. Is it even on anymore?

Here's the detailed CBR info I told you about earlier.

Hopefully, this will help out those who were like me when I was planning our first stay at the CBR.

Wow! This is probably the best summary of CBR or any resort for that matter! :worship: Thank you for all the great information--I wish we were staying there now!!

You're welcome. Like I said before, when I was planning our first CBR stay, I wished somebody...anybody...would post all the details in one post. I hated skipping around an entire thread to find the information I wanted. I've sent this detailed report to many of my friends and family and they all love me for it.;)

Wow, is all I can say. You all sure are chatty :lmao:

I had to skim the PTR here and there but I think I am caught up on everything. Love that you are going to go over Christmas time. I am curious about the weather and if the decorations live up to the expectations.

I like POFQ--it is smaller so it never is too crowded in the common areas. CBR was one of my top choices--but I was talked out of it plus they do not have trundle beds. Who knows, perhaps I will move us? :rotfl:

The ADRs ideas look great. I have heard great things about the Tusker House food and character meal. I do not think we are going to do this one because I have my eyes set on others. Who knows, if next year is like this year, you could end up with free DDP. I certainly am hoping for it to be offered during my stay! :D

Looking forward to planning with you :)

yes, Barney is still on princess: C loves it...one of the only shows she watches!

Peter Pan loves dinosaurtrain; it is entertaining and educational he pulls out his dinosaur which ever is appering on the show!! today was stegasouras (sp)

I only have the one room!! I designed my floor plan... my kitchen is 12X25 ; w/a bathroom (w/shower), a pantry and utility room in the front 12X18. my living room is the center of my house 22X32 front door centered in front, fireplace and two sg french doors on the back wall. two bedrooms 12X15 each w/a bath between them NO HALLway!, than my bedroom behind the two bedrooms but my door is off the living room back corner next to one of the sg FD's, my room is 18X19 w/a lg closet and bathroom off the back. I do not have a large house but all the rooms are big except for the utility room and all three bathrooms (the master bath is a nice size just not real big) NO WASTED SPACE TO HEAT OR COOL!

Normally, our house seems large but with Joe's furniture and now with Peter Pan adding to the mix we are starting to feel crowded! I know it will not be forever, but, with Christmas coming :confused3
My room has Peter Pan's bed, our king bed, a rocker, two twin mattresses stacked against the wall (this was is Gwendolyn's room), and our dresser, along with Danny's light box! we can walk around the bed!! about 3ft all the way around  :sad2:
I just can't wait for Gwendolyn & Joe to get settled so Peter Pan can have his own room and I can have my living room back. My room does not bother me, as much!!!

I'm rambling here!!! sorry

Kimmy, most of the PTR stuff is in a different color, font, and larger print--if your looking to skip our chatter!

Danny really like POFQ the best out of all the mods that I show him...I think it is because it is the only one he has stayed at so far! I keep pricing two of the deluxes and if they do have free dining; I may be able to upgrade if not I think we are a toss up of POFQ and CBR! but, we need a king size bed and I don't see where they offer it...I'll find out when I'm ready to book, later!

Glad you signed on look forward to planning along with you!!

We ramble well together for sure. We had the tiniest house when we lived in town. It was like 1300 sq ft. We had 3 bedrooms and one bath. The garage was already turned into a den when we move in. It was too big so we cut 10 ft off the back of it and made Sheri's bedroom. So it was off the Kitchen. Then we took her old room and split it down the middle and made the front half the laundry room and cut a door in our room and made the back half a bathroom. So we still had 3 bedrooms but now had 2 bathrooms. It was plenty big enough when the girls left home but I couldn't stand the neighborhood anymore and after we lost our pet Max I couldn't stand that house. I told Don I was moving and he could go with me if he chose. He decided to join me. Now our house is almost 1900 sq ft for just the 2 of us. We never use the living room so it sits quietly and stays clean. I have a nice size laundry room coming in from the garage and a huge pantry in the kitchen. It is 8 ft long and 6 ft deep. It hold a lot and it is so nice not to have groceries in the kitchen cabinets. Just dishes. Of which I have 4 sets. I'm bad.

Our bedroom is 14X20 which is a nice size but I have the treadmill and excercise bike in it. Boo Hiss. I will probably seel them if I don't start using them. Or I should be using them. Such decisions. So our bath and master closet are nice sized.

Was all that wordy enough for you to understand. I tried really hard.

I wish I were home doing anything but work.

Ginny, :lmao:
people subbing in must think we have lost our minds with the conversations we have :rotfl2: that's ok!!

I understood every word!!! our house is 1900 sq ft living w/ 2290 under roof with a detached garage; that I should have talked Danny into converting into a small apartment in the back for Gwendolyn; which if they do not start that house soon will be exactly what will happen!!! they are going to live with Brownie and Cinnamon; we had to put them in the garage after Peter Pan's 1st bday; Brownie BITES!!! so since she is a bad dog she had to move out and Cinnamon is getting old and was using the bathroom anywhere
So, they will have to share with dogs and the mustang because the car gets priority:lmao:

By all means the mustang takes precedence. I should have Don build his work shop then they could come live with me. Or better yet, send Peter Pan to me and they can stay with you. See how I planned that one? I would even quit my job. Just don't tell Don. He'll figure it out when I don't have a paycheck and there is an extra mouth to feed. I know PP doesn't eat much.

Yes I shouldn't get so chatty. I sure don't want to scare your readers off. You have some really nice ones.

Thanks! Barbara
Peter Pan and I had a quiet day; rainy day! We won't see princess: C again until Thursday; I get her Thur/Fri one week and Mon/Tue/Thur/Fri/Sat the following week. I have her when her mom has her and her grandmother has her when its her dad's turn.
Hope ya'll had a great weekend!
:wave2:

I know I left a return msg to Barbara but it is GONE!!

Barbara we had a good day; Peter Pan and I. Chloe comes over on Thur/Fri this week.
Hope your day was a good one!!

Ginny~ I think we are trying to catch up with ya'll (I hope not) but in two hours we have just been dumped on 4 inches of rain. Danny went to put Buddy (our lab) back into the pool yard and was in calf deep water. Good thing the poor baby's house is raised up! Peter Pan went to bed early, I'm watching the news and checking in. Getting ready to hit the bed myself....
Later....:wave2: good night all!!

I Know it was so weird. I logged of the dis and then went to go check my email and I saw the message so I come over and it's gone. I spent about five minutes trying to find it, just making sure I wasn't imagining things.
Finally I found it.
My day was ehhh, not so magical. I spent most of it on the phone with the plumbing company, and then the rest of the day cooking, going to walmart, and C.V.S. Before I knew it, it was time to pick up the girls. Then they had a softball game. Emily still can't play. I'm not sure if I told you about her hand or not. Then Finally I went to Brew's with Dh to watch the dolphins vs Jets game.
The weekend was better. Saturday night we went to this poly show. Amazing. Then yesterday was Amy's birthday party. I posted some pictures of the poly show in my TR, but I still have about 60 pictures of each to post.
Have a good night!

Good morning Connie. I know this will come as a shock but it's raining. It started last night about 6:30. Don, Sheri and Mike went to Andrew's soccer match. They won. Yay.
Aust got out of football practice so he and I went on a date to Ruby Tuesdays. He drove me. It was lots of fun. I posted on fb this morning the actual edited video of the pep rally. And Thursday I am going to finish my tr. It's about time for sure.

I would say enjoy your rain but blech! I'm sick of it.

Give my sweet Peter Pan a big hug and kiss please.

Ginny

Good morning Connie,

Like Ginny (and I am sure you), we are supposed to get rain today. 90% chance.

John's uncle needed some siding put on his house and he started the job about two weeks ago. He's almost finished but it won't stop raining long enough to get it finished up. His uncle's house is about 50 miles from our house so it's not one of those job sites close enough to work for a couple of hours, come back home and then go back and work another couple of hours.

He has two cabinet jobs to do but, again, it won't stop raining long enough to even go get the materials.

I am so ready for the rain to stop!

Hope you have a great day.

Good Morning Connie!

Sorry I've been kind of MIA, but I've been popping in here and there to stay caught up!

We want to go see the Toy Story double feature as well, but after paying $11 per ticket to see a matinee of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, I'm a little scared! :scared1:

Rainy and cold here in western New York today..not gonna get out of the 40s...bbbbrrrrrr!

Hey Missy,

We paid over $30 + for the three of us to see Toy Story. It was that much to see Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs too!

Oh well, we don't hardly ever do any other kind of entertainment so I guess it's okay to shell out $30.00 for a movie.

Hello! Everyone!!!

Peter Pan and I got up with Danny at 4am watched some Lilo & Stitch went back to sleep only to have my mom wake us up to ask if I would bring my dad to his treatment. My uncle has been in Hospice for a little while and she got a call this morning around 5:30 saying it looked like he would not make it through the day (this is a good thing--for him--he has Alzeheimer's & diabetes (sp)--my aunt had him placed in a nursing home about a year ago, since than they have amputated one leg and he stays medicated and he has had a bacterial infection from his nails digging into his hands for about two months now) but the fog was so bad she called back to say nevermind. She was going to bring daddy and they were going to go over together.

So, we went back to bed at 8 and slept till 10! :yay: it is a dreary foggy day to look out the window it would appear to be about 40* not 85*.

I have been on the phone and computer with insurance and the hopsital for Peter Pan's bill...the hospital filed the asst surgeron's charges wrong and the insurance did not pay. So, they sent my a bill for the full charge...which is wrong from the get go...even if the ins wasn't going to pay they are suppose to subtract the insurance discount (at least that is what my dad told me--that is how his is figured :confused3 ) I worked in medical offices for years and we did not seem to have the problems this huge conglomerate (sp?)of a medical center seems to have.

Missy~ This was the first time I had been to the show and had to pay for Peter Pan and normally if you go to the show before 5pm on a weekday is half price  this was the first time I had been to this theatre so I had not checked their admission charges; so I was just in sticker shock when I got to the window!! I did not know that they charged the same price for an adult and child!!
But, we enjoyed it, just glad we did not have Danny in tow or he woud have walked away...he would not have paid to see a movie that we have on VHS...he would have gone to the store and bought a VHS player :lmao:

Need to go help Peter Pan he is demanding my attention at the moment...
Later...:wave2:
Connie

Okay, so I'm late getting on today, but I made it! I've been trying to get caught up again, and I'm nowhere close. Rain, rain, go away! It has not stopped raining since it began - in the SPRING. I haven't spent any time at all in my yard this year and I'm irritated by it. But, at least the pond/lake behind our house is filling up nicely after five years of living in our house. So, that's one good thing. I just hate that Mitchell has not had much to time to play outdoors this year. He's become a child who wants to stay in the house now. :sad2:

I hope that you guys are having a wonderful day. Tell Peter Pan hello and give him a great big hug from "Aunt Mel". I'm sure Ginny has sent him some lovin' already, but one more won't hurt! :goodvibes

Oh Connie,

I am so sorry to read about your family member's health issues. My grandmother had Alzheimers and it was so sad. It really was a blessing when she passed away. May sound weird to say that but it's how I felt and still feel.

Don't you just hate worrying with insurance and hospitals and bills?!? It's get worked out. Just takes time.

It's raining here, of course. Sick of it! Just sick of it!
