I will tell you for sure Connie. You never lose that feeling of worrying about your kids. It doesn't matter their age. Then you get grandkids and they cycle starts all over. Just what you need as you get older. More to worry about. I'm like you with a young boy and a muscle car. Aust wanted a charger so bad. He got the Grand Prix instead. Sheri said there was no way he was having a car that needed work all the time and you would worry about them even when they start it let alone drive. I know how she feels. Of course she had a little purple firebird with T-tops, then a mustang convertable. How life changes.

Morning Connie,

Sorry I haven't been around in the last couple of days. You know the family issues I am having so I know you forgive me.

My mother heard that you can toss uncooked grits on ant beds and it will get rid of them. Supposedly, they eat the grits, they swell up in their bellies and they explode. I haven't tried it yet but I probably will have to after all this rain. Ants love to come up when it rains.

I hate that there's not a local theater showing Toy Story. We took Hunter Saturday evening. It was funny to see a lot of teenagers in the theater. They like to act so cool and tough and then go see Toy Story!:rotfl: I had forgotten how cute the movies were. Makes me anxious to see the 3rd one.

Hope you have a great day,

Lisa

So, we went to the Baton Rouge theatre; boy I did not look to see the ticket prices was I blown away!!! $19 for Peter Pan and I!!!!

Well, he did really well for the first one!!! :yay: we went to the restroom and I let him run in the corridor for the intermission and we walked the steps up and down twice. I really thought that would be enough...not ten minutes into the movie he needed to potty; OK so we went and than about 15 min later he wanted to go again, so we went, than about 10 min later he wanted to go again I made he wait...I left at the very end and he all but had a fit after he went to the restroom. So, I brought him back into the theatre to see that it was over! we watched the credits and bloopers!!:rotfl2:

I really think he enjoyed it just a bit too long for him!!!
We ran to the grocery on the way home and he wanted to go see TS again!

I am so glad you got to go. And you can't complain about him wanting/needing to go potty so much. At least he is going and telling you. Seeing both movies together is a long time. I think he did very well. I took Aust to his first movie at 2 1/2 to see Snow White. We got there 15 min early so by the time the movie was half over he was ready to go. It was probably a good thing to. We left right before the scary part.

He would love it if you take him again mommy:laughing:

Good night my sweet Peter Pan.:love2:

I guess I came off wrong...not really complaining just reporting....
I really felt it was too long for him... he needed to see part one today and part two later in the evening or another day... it didn't help that they had this guy in front of us (he was alone) and he laughed out loud at EVERYTHING!! but, his laughed kinda scared Peter Pan. After we went to the restroom the second time we changed our seating location--which I think that kinda threw him off, too! Because than he wanted to keep moving

The theatre only had about four families and two men who were alone...so it was nice to have the entire theatre and not have to worry about disturbing anyone!

and yes I am very happy he lets me know he has to go:yay:...but I don't think he had to go that many times(in fact he was unable to do anything once)...I think he was having fun run up and down the stairs

Oh! and not for $19 a pop again; I think we are going to have to pull out the VHS! I knew I should have bought it before they put it back in the vault!

I didn't mean complain complain. I should have said you have to be happy that he is at least telling you now. You were smart to keep moving. It had to be nice to have such an empty theatre.

Little ones either say they have to go all the time or won't tell you at all. It's like there is no happy medium. It sounds like he is starting to catch on well tho.

I'm so glad you got to go! Nineteen dollars is a bit much, but I guess it's still a bargain since there were two movies. Still seems like a lot at once, though, huh?

Do you think that Disney will release Toy Story 1 and 2 back on DVD again, since it came out in the theaters? It would be nice if they did a double feature, because I'd love to get that for Mitchell for Christmas. My real mom bought Mitchell Toy Story 2 for Christmas last year on DVD (before it went off the shelf), but as you know, I haven't seen her in two years and now the movie is packed up along with the other gifts he never got at her sister's house. My mother is in a different state now, too.

And get this? She TOLD him she had it for him, so now he's expecting that movie. I told DH I was gonna have to get it myself, and then it went away. So I'm hoping they release it again before Christmas. Oh, and Toy Story 3 comes out on my birthday next year! Guess what we're doing for my birthday??? :cheer2:

Mel, normally when a movie goes back in the vault it is about 10 years before it is rereleased! I hope not because I was going to get it and never got around to it!

I guess I was not expecting to be charged for two movies when they are old movies! :confused3 I don't know why; I just did not think the mataniee (sp) would cost so much!!!

Have a wonderful day!! :sunny:

You got off cheaper than we did when we went to see Toy Story and Toy Story 2. It cost us $32 + for the three of us!

Good Morning Connie. Rain, rain, and more rain here today. It started last evening around 7 and has not let up. Seems like I had this in Florida also. :) I'm am going to ask Sandi if she still has my Toy Story DVD's. I will have her bring them to me if she does and see that you get them. Don't get your hopes up. She is not a saver like I am and she and her sister pitch everything that is not tied down. So once I give something to them unless I put stipulations that I want it back it will be long gone.

Hope you all have a good day. Be sure to throw in some hugs, kisses and tickles to my favorite Peter Pan and his Princess C.

Ginny

Super cute pics of "Peter's" birthday!!! Thanks for sharing!

Love the birthday pics. It would be an easy cake for some people to make. Not me of course. I couldn't even write Happy Birthday and have it be right. He is such a cutie patootie for sure. His smile melts my heart and I just want to hug him now. You are one lucky mom. As if you didn't know.

Geez, ten years you say? Well, that stinks. :crazy2: Totally not happy about it.

I can see where you're coming from on the price issue. I guess they figure since it's 3-D now, what was old is now new again.

They were so cute. I love anything Mickey Mouse, anyways. Mitchell's 4th was Mickey Mouse, too!

Well, you guys probably remember that Mickey Mouse cake I posted. It was hard as crap, and it was just three circles! Who would have thunk it???? :confused3 I'm just not patient when it comes to baking and creating and it looks so easy on TV, just not when I try to execute my own cake,!

There's a commercial on TV that I see occasionally and there's a little boy on there who I think looks just like our sweet Peter Pan! Every time I see it, I think to myself, there's sweet Prince! :goodvibes

thanks everyone!! I'm so sorry Lisa and Ginny! I missed ya'll post this morning!!!

That would be nice Ginny if she does...I have all my old VHS's but we don't have a machine in the house. Dayne gave his to goodwill and my dual player broke...

Mel, I can't place a commercial that looks like him...need a little try to remember to let me know what it is next time you see it...unless it is a local for you...

Glad ya'll enjoyed the bday pics...I found a few old pics from Dayne & Gwendolyn's first WDW visit I need to scan them and get some from my mom she has all the pics!!! I really need to copy them!!

My princess: has surgery tomorrow and I just found out her dad is not going :confused3 mom's boyfriend is going instead. I'm sorry I know I'm not divorced but shouldn't mom & dad be there when she goes under! to each there own, I guess. :headache:

We went to the cement pond today! The sun is out and it is only 94* out!!! :eek:did someone say it is October :confused3
Everyone have a great weekend! I probably won't be on tomorrow!!

I love old pix. Please share if possible. I would love to see Dayne and Gwendolyn when younger.

We will work on the DVD's for sure.

We happen to have cement ponds here today too. It's the streets, parking lots, anyone with a basement. Have I mentioned I'm sick of rain yet?

I can't imagine being a father or mother and not being there for you child. Strange to me too.

Have a great day tomorrow if you aren't on. I am by myself tomorrow. Christine took the day off. I'll take the 23rd when Sandi is here.

I would certainly hope so! I have a friend who's son has a genetic disorder and his dad is hardly ever at the hospital. But if they call for surgery he is in there in a heartbeat. I can't imagine not being there... sigh... :sad2:

Hey you,
Sorry I've been gone a few days. I haven't had much dis time.
Emily hurt her hand yesterday at her softball game so tomorrow we're going to the doctor.
Glad to hear you saw Toy Story.
My family and I are huge toy story fans we got the game for the wii and it's so much fun.
Saturday is the last day for toy story and the girls have a softball game so if Emily can't play then I'll go see it with her or Mitch will.
I just love that cake you made. It looks like you worked so hard on it:rotfl2:
I really wanted to make Amy's cake because her party is this Sunday, but did you see our weather?:scared1:
So store bought it is.
Hope everything is well for you.
Have a good night.:wave2:
