We are here-- BWV, AKV, then Vero!-- PICS added

Thanks everyone for the nice posts. I am almost embarrased with my photos cause there are so many great photographers on this site!!

Today was a lazy day-- just what we needed. Pool, nap, pool! Never made it over to the Kidani pool. But the Jambo pool was pretty packed. Tonight Jiko-- can't wait! I also can't wait for Vero!

I will see if I can post a couple more pics.

Great pics! I miss AKV already. We had dinner at Jiko last week and it was outstanding. Enjoy!

Looking forward to seeing Vero, we have not been there yet.

Jiko was great. I did get the scallops, they were prepared differently than last time but still delicious.. Husband got short ribs. We split BBQ flatbread and an assortment of cheese for apps. Perfect Dinner. We walked around the resort and looked at all the animals. The CMs here are great--- so informative about the animals--- great experience.

We have used a TIW card and it has really paid off for us-- we do a lot of table service. Also used our Rewards card from the Disney Chase card to pay off what we charged to the room-- we had rewards dollars left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On to Vero tomorrow !!!!

Glad to hear that you liked Jiko. Have a safe trip to Vero.

Enjoy reading your post!!!.... Wishing you luck for your room card to get pulled in the Turtle Walk draw!!!!

We are here-- arrived yesterday!! It took us about two hours from WDW but we stopped for lunch. To be honest, when I arrived I did not feel that "Disney" feel. Not sure if it was "withdraw" from leaving WDW or what. We also had been at BWV and AKV all within a week. In my opinion these two places are amazingly beautiful, so a beach resort just did not compare. Either way we are happy to be here and I really like the pool and slide. They seem to have a TON to do for kids during the day which is awesome. (We do not have kids right now, but hope to in the future.)

We arrived around noon. Our room was not ready. We went outlet shopping and they text us around 2. We headed back. BTW it was POURING off and on since we arrived (maybe that did not help my first impression). Stopped off at Publix to get groceries. We headed to our room.

I hope to post some pics. We checked out the pool and beach for awhile after we got here. I am used to fairly "rough" waters from the beaches in MD, so the calm waters of the ocean down here was surprising. Not sure if it is always like this, so we will see in the next couple of days!

I promise to post pics later.... my husband and I are off to take a walk on the beach!

Hope the weather gets better for you! One of these days I would like to tack on a couple days at Vero at the end of a WDW trip - it seems like it would be a relaxing way to wind up a vacation! Looking forward to some VB pics!

I know what you mean... We are also here now (Checking out today) and it does not give you that "Disney" feel but it is a beautiful resort. We started with the Disney Cruise then VWL for a week and Vero as our last stop. Vero is more "Real World" if you ask me.

Please don't get me wrong... We love it here but it's not like the fantasy world like Disney.

Exactly!! We actually went "off property" last night for dinner and it was so strange to not be surrounded by cast members :) Our dinner was great though! We went to Squid Lips which we got from the VERO thread on here-- wonderful DISers!!! Not sure what we would do without everyone's great info! It really was a cool place right on the water with great food.

Today we hung out at the pool all day-- until it rained :( Here are some pics from the last couple of days.

Teachckg... What room were you in? We were in 2213 and it looks like we had the same view.

Is that an OVIR that you have there? :-) If so I bet the views are spectacular!!!! Dont worry about the rain.... that is normal.... just cools things off in the afternoon.

Do you have internet access in your room?

Dont forget to write your family name on a shell with a special message and stick it in the big vase for others to explore!;)

We live in southern PA-- I can walk into MD. We left at 2 am and drove straight through with three gas/bathroom breaks. Leaving at 2 am got us through DC/VA area without traffic and it was nice driving "into" daylight!

I am going to try to post some pics. I have not in awhile-- so I hope it works out. I honestly have not taken many -- we are treating this trip different than other trips down. We are taking it easy, not rushing... because we know we will be back. That is a great feeling.

Today we went to DHS. We went for EMH and went straight to TSM-- 40 minute wait right away-- crazy huh. I am starting to think EMH are something to avoid??? I really like TSM- though!!! After about 4 hours there we were beat. We did get FP for TSM when we left which are for 6:30 tonight!!! We came back, hung at the pool. I am shocked how uncrowded the pools are. Now just showered and heading to Hollywood and Vine and Phantasmic for the dinner-show combo.

Having a blast!

First welcome home and to the DVC family. Our home resort is SSR and most of the time stay at BWV. Love that you can walk to Epcot and HS. We go twice a year and always avoid EMH. That is during Sept. and Jan. Other parks seem less crowded. Hope you have a great time!!!!! I see from one of your trip countdown we will be down in Jan 2010 at the same time. Jan trip will be just my husband and me, no kids. We are staying at AKV value studios. I have stayed there twice before we became DVC members. If we like the DVC section then we may stay there duing our Sept 2010 trip with the kids and get the SV.

We are on the floor above! We do have an OVIR!! Went to Ninos for dinner tonight... a cute little italian place about 10-15 minutes away. Very good food!
