Once the rain had tapered off, we decided to head back to the resort to freshen up before heading over to Raglan Road ...

Of course, just as we were leaving for Raglan Road, it started to rain ... so with rain gear in hand, we headed out ...

As always, we had a great evening with great company, although we weren’t too sure when John Denver and Johnny Cash songs became Irish ...

Unfortunately on this get together, one of our good friends wasn’t able to be with us. We did make sure to send her a little message to let her know we were thinking of her and missed her company, and are looking forward to getting together with her in October!!

Today was another day we decided to sleep in a bit, and around 10:00 am, we headed over to EPCOT. We had a 12:15 ADR for Le Cellier, and took our time getting over to World Showcase ...

We arrived at Le Cellier, with a few minutes to spare before our ADR time, so we checked in and were seated within 5 minutes. Le Cellier is one of our favourite restaurants - not just because we are Canadian - the food is just that awesome!! Our server was Chelsea from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – which is about 3 hours from Bonny’s home town. Of course once she found out we were “locals”, she couldn’t stop talking. Bonny, of course, had to have the cheese soup for an appetizer (she gets this every time we eat at Le Cellier), while Lee had the seafood salad. For entrees, Lee had the New York strip steak and Bonny the mushroom filet. All were yummy as usual. Unfortunately we were too stuffed for dessert.

After our bellies were full, we headed off to take a few more pics.

All in all, we were a tad disappointed with the topiary displays at the Flower and Garden show this year – it seemed like there were lots of recycled ones and weren’t as many as previous years.


After a quick stop at the resort we headed over to Magic Kingdom ...

We had heard so much about the Lapu Lapu drink at the Polynesian Resort, so we decided to walk on over from the TTC and have our selves a drink ...

Of course, we had to check out the resort shop while we were there, and ran into these interesting fellows ...

We headed upstairs to the lounge, and found ourselves a table ... Bonny wasn’t brave enough to order the Lapu Lapu, but Lee did ... Bonny ordered herself something fruity ...

After sitting a bit and enjoying our $15 Disney beverages, we headed over to the Magic Kingdom.

I finally got caught up today. Amazing photos!!! Especially the ones from the GMR. Now I am going to get all boring on you, but do you mind sharing the camera and lens you were using.

Also, I must say, as many times as I have been in Canada, I don't recognize the maple leaf cut out from the granite pillar. (looks like a tombstone - ha, ha!) Where does one find that, and exactly what is it?

Great job so far - looking forward to more!

Most of the pics in this update were taken by Bonny using our Canon Xti and the 28-135mm IS lens.

Across from the Canadian pavilion is a fence (along the water) ... on the fence are the maple leafs.

... the Lapu Lapu is a hollowed out Pineapple in which they put rum, rum and more rum, with a splash of tropical juices and topped with Bacardi 151 rum. Unfortunately there isn't much room for all that in the Pineapple, so I think after about 4 slurps of your straw it's gone ...

When we last left you, we had just finished our $15 Disney beverages and were headed over to the Magic Kingdom.

Our first stop was Casey's for a hot dog then it was off to Pirates of the Caribbean where Lee was able to get these shots:

After browsing in the Pirates shop for a bit, we made our way over to the Haunted Mansion ...

The Haunted Mansion is one of our favourite rides but unfortunately it's just too dark to get great photos, however, Lee was able to get this one, which he is very proud of ...

After visiting the Mansion, we headed off towards It's a Small World ...

After It's a Small World, we made our way to the Carousel of Progress. We were disappointed that the TTA was closed for renovations (as part of the Space Mountain refurb??) as it's one of our favourite rides.

As we had planned to head to Downtown Disney, we made our way to the exit, taking these pics along the way ...

After a short Monorail ride to the TTC, we hopped in our car and headed off to DTD - where Lee perused the lego at the Lego store and Bonny grabbed something to eat at McDonalds. It was then back to the resort where we refilled our mugs and relaxed watching a bit of TV before drifting off to sleep.

Those are some amazing shots...especially the Haunted Mansion one! I'm a huge Haunted Mansion freak and that is one of the best pics I have seen of the bride in the attic...major kudos!!
