First of all, why anyone would ever want to be Javy is beyond comprehension. Clay vs. Steven is another story. Although Mr. Tyler has been around for years he still has what it takes to captivate his audience. Clay is the new kid on the block and must work at it but he is off to an awesome start. I’d love to case some crap here but alas I can not as they are 2 different performers, 2 very good ones – not in Bruce’s superior class though.

ITSA, any word on the Jas matter at hand?

Lizzie, you can be the Card Girl, how about having Higgs be the Bell boy? :p

Well, he is gorgeous, he makes about $6-7 mil, famous, wanted by thousands if not millions of women........ yeah, no one would EVER want that. I'm sure someone would much rather be an ugly, washed up has been singer with about a hundred frogs in his throat :p

LOL..that's great...:)

And Boss....you talking about Steven v. Clay? I'd go w/Steven. His music is more my "type." :teeth:

That is too funny ITSA. I see we have some things in common.

I gotta get working on teaching DS better music! :teeth:

Hey -- it HAS to be better than listening to Wiggles or Veggie Tales! :p

Is that a good thing, from your perspective? :earseek: :teeth:

Steve - my wife has Radio Disney going in the car now, much to my chagrin. However, me and the boyz listen to "other stuff" when she's not around.

Their current favorite CDs - Red Hot Chili Peppers - By The Way and Will Smith - Born to Reign. They can rap the whole Nod Ya Head (Men In Black II) song along with the cd.

with my 2 little ones 4 and 2 it's not radio but TV in the car. We are definitely hooked on the Wiggles and Spongebob. Love that sponge!!

My boys love Spongebob also. My little guy just had a "Spongebob birthday." We are planning on making some long trips, so we're really considering putting a flip down tv/dvd player in the van.

Itsa -

It's the greatest thing. My car came with one, but that one eventually crapped out on us. 4 years of constant use. We just bought the audiovox flip down unit with the lcd screen for about $250. Comes with its own bag and everything you need. We even take it out at hotels sometimes so they can play video games, or god forbid, there is no cartoon network!!

oops - or did you mean one of those permanent entertainment systems by flip down. My car is a lease so I didn't want to go that route.

AP got her knickers all in a twist over (a) a comment that she misread (and wasn't directed toward her for that matter) and (b) a joke (fyi ap - when someone posts something and then puts one of these --> after it, it's a joke). If you got a problem with me, then that's YOUR problem, not mine. Don't expect me to make it easy on you after you jump on me.
Okay, there's only one person around here who can talk about my knickers on a personal basis, and it's not Itsa. I didn't misread anything and didn't think your comment was directed towards me. Far be it from me to post a reply on a message board regarding something that someone else posted. And I'm quite familiar with the usage of smilies - I've used some in my time and I know their purpose. I don't have a problem with you, I have a problem with the way you choose to make your point. But, the freedom of a message board entails that everyone is allowed to speak their minds in whatever capacity they see fit - and that's something that I really do respect. And agreeing to disagree is an underutilized gesture - but it's something at which I'm very good.

What happened to the 'good ole day's' when Television's werent' babysitters and parents use to (((gasp))) talk with their kids in the car?!? :teeth:

Spongebob's awesome -- it's the Wiggles that freak me out a little!!

And we have one of those VCR in a bag things that we attach on the back of the front seat for DS -- works pretty well, the only problem being that it's only VCR (not DVD) and it's not an actual TV, just a VCR monitor.

OK...I just want to know who this mystery person is...:)

I hear Jas is pretty good at her detective work.;) Maybe she can give you some clues. Then again, M is also very intuitive. Heck, even Boss has some things figured out.;)

Yea I know Steve,

my old unit was an actual TV. But it never got reception anyway. They do make those tv in a bag with a dvd player for about a hundred dollars more. All our kids stuff is on videos!!

-Yea right Madonna . LOL;) When it's either a quiet, peaceful drive or a 2 year old screaming so loud and so long that you just want to put your car through the nearest wall, I'll just the TV every time :p :teeth:
:jester:

Talking to my Dad in the car usually involved threats of getting left by the side of the road about 1/2 an hour into an 8 hour car ride! :teeth:

Talking's great and all, but by about mile 50 of a 500 mile trip, it's about time to flip on the cartoons! :teeth:

Hmmm and the future of America is struggling WHY???? Obesity, illiteracy, etc. I remember when my mom would read to me in the car when Dad was driving or we would play games.

As a child - I actually use to like the talk/games that my parents use to entertain me with on the drive to Florida (23 hours)

screaming so loud and so long that you just want to put your car through the nearest wall,
and if I ever did that - just my dad saying "keep it up and Im turning this car AROUND!!!" would be MORE then enough for me to 'put a sock in it"...;)

psst...it's not just America Jas - I have a parent friend or two that you would LOVE to meet...;)

No need for me to lighten up - I'm already on Cloud Nine today.;) I get to go drive the airport shuttle this evening - and I just can't wait.;)

We always played the alphabet game where you had to find a word on a billboard the corresponds with the next letter of the alphabet. Driving through Louisiana, it's easier than you might think. We also had sing-alongs, but that was just when it was me, my sister, and my dad and he would crank up the music that shaped my warped mind (Aerosmith, Van Halen, The Boss, Black Sabbath, The Who, Journey, Led Zeppelin, and Dio, just to name a few). Aah, those were the days.:)
