I agree, madonna. If your kid doesn't listen, make them listen. The only thing that gets my 4 year old's attention is the wooden spoon. He's never been hit with it, but he's fairly sure he doesn't want to be.

The parents are the ones in control. If they tell you no, keep searching for something that they care about and take it away. Every child has something that they don't want to do without. Don't let the inmates run the asylum.
