WDWTrekker 11/20/01 Day 4

We started today by heading over to MK for breakfast, now I knew Tony’s did not do PS for breakfast, but I didn’t know they do not even serve it any longer. The woman working there said she had called the other sit down breakfast restaurants and they were not taking any walk-ins. So we had to eat at the bakery. OH DARN!

That has got to be some of the best pastries I’ve ever had. The cherry turnover was fabulous and I cannot describe the cinnamon rolls.

My DD wanted to head over and do Big Thunder, so off we went. I was able to convince them all on the way over to ride the new Aladdin ride and stop in the Tiki Room. At this point my DS started to call this dumb day (as in 14 YOs do not think these are cool) so I said – hey that would be fun – let’s do all the “dumb” (in the eyes of a 14 YO) stuff. And I headed for Bear Country, but it is closed getting ready for the Christmas show. DARN!

We continued on to BTM and got a fast pass for about 1 hr later, went to Splash Mt for a 25 min wait –it was really shorter than that. After splash we used our FP on BTM.

DW wanted to go to the Haunted Mansion (guess what the 14 YO thought). This was only about a15 minute wait. I really enjoy this attraction. We then headed over to Cosmic Ray’s for lunch; the kid’s love the alien dude playing music here. I never notice this before, the alien starts to play “It’s a small world” messes it up, and then says “What am I doing playing this, this is what we use to scare our enemies away!” LOL – It is fun to see Disney can make fun of themselves.

After Lunch DW and I scoped out a place for the afternoon parade while the kids did splash mountain again and pressed some pennies. After the parade it was back to the Dolphin and the Grotto pool. It was a beautiful 80+ degree day.

Dinner was at Mexico in Epcot, love that restaurant – had the Plato Mexicano and I got to eat the steak from my Plato, DW Plato and DS Plato, What man would not be in his glory with 3 pieces of tenderloin?

After dinner we finished the night with some shopping at Downtown Disney.

See you on Day 5.

We don't usually eat at Cosmic Ray's but we always check out Sonny Eclipse! :D

Sounds like you had a fun (*not* dumb) day! Never noticed that part during Sonny Eclipse, I have to look for it next time. Looking forward to more great reports...

Sounds like you guys took it easy and enjoyed yourselves! Are those cinnaon rolls TALL and square? We were at Casey's and some people next to us were eating something from the bakery. It looked so good (and fattneing)! I'm so jealous that you are there and I'm here, but we had fun there last week, so today I'm enjoying making "turkeys" with my 3 yo -my dining room table is covered with art supplies. Can't wait to read today and tomorrow's report!!!

Sorry they couldn't accomodate you for a sit-down breakfast! Hope you enjoyed the bakery.

:)

Like you sense of humor about the 'dumb day'. My DD loves cosmic Rays.

susy - yup!tall and squareand fattening-thoseare the ones.....

I'll be posting day five and six both tomorrow - Have a great Thanksgiving everyone....

I'm going to have to try the pastries at the Bakery in MK. I've never eaten there before and it sounds yummy!

As the parent of a 14 year old DS myself, I can totally relate!!! Enjoying reading your report very much!
