We have triplets (1st trip for them) who will be 5 when we go. I am concerned mainly about crowds and wait times for rides (especially MK and MGM). We are staying at the WL.

Big concern for us is the Pop Warner group. According to the Pop Warner website, they will be there Dec 4-10 for the 2005 National Championships at the Sports Complex. We currently have reservations Dec 3-10. Should I change the reservation to Nov 27- Dec 4 or leave it alone?

Just trying to ensure my small children have the best possible time with the smallest crowds/wait times!

Thanks so much!

I wouldn't be worried about the Pop Warner group unless they are staying at your hotel. And from what I understand they use the All Star resorts. But as far as crowd levels at MGM and MK I wouldn't worry about that enough to rearrange the dates.

We had the same week this past year...

They have activities during the first part of the week but by Thursday/Friday of that week they were all over the parks.

I would think the Dec. 3rd date would be fine. Usually the beginning of Dec. is wonderful. If the other week is during Thanksgiving it will be really crowded.

Ages 8 to 16.

:cheer2: Thank you Debbie :cheer2:

I wasn't completely sure of the ages. I know they're all kids!

triplefigs:I had more kids in front of me at MK on Thursday and MGM on Friday than I'd had all week.

~Maybe you should consider going the week prior~
HTH.

I called WDW and tenatively have changed to Nov 27-Dec 4. Do you know when they film the Christmas parade? Is it Dec 3?

Thanks again for all the replies.

I'd have to see what day Zurg was there...

I know it's done the first weekend of December. Zurg even ran into Kelly Rippa and talks of it in his trip reports.

I know that in 2003, it was over 3 days-12/6,12/7, and 12/8-I think were the dates I remember. However, this year I'll be at BCV 11/27-12/1 so I'll probably miss it.

I had the same dates booked and then moved to the week of the 27th. We are hoping it's not too crowded. It's our first trip. We want to do MVMCP too. I can't wait!!

Christmas Parade

It looks like they taped this year's parade on the first Saturday, the 4th of December.

Hi,
Is there alot of kids that come from Pop Warner group that makes a different in the parks??What resorts do they stay at???Just wondering if i should change my dates???Thanks

As mentioned above they stay at the All star resorts and if the group is large then they can filter over to pop and sometimes a moderate.

We were there when they were this past year and didn't encounter them at the parks.

Also as the other poster said the first MVMCP is the lst I think. Just wanted to say that also starting Nov. 28th there is a giant convention at the swan. Its like 4,000 plus people. Its usually in Las Vegas but this year its in Orlando. I doubt many people bring their kids, but we are. Its a free room for us , free airfare for ds and I am buying paps in april, so its a cheap trip for us. It will be our lst time at this time of year.

Either week should be fine for you-

There's always something going on in disney world. Even with conventions and football players and cheerleaders all around, the crowds were comparably minimal.

Our longest wait the whole week in December was 20 minutes.
