Planning a vacation to WDW the last week of October and would like to do one of the tours that are offered. Anyone have any suggestions on which ones are the best or are must dos?

Last year after many visits to the World my DH and I did the Keys to the Kingdom Tour at the Magic Kingdom. All I can say is "Amazing" We have been to Disney at least 16 times and actually learned new things. It was a 41/2 to 5 hours tour lunch included I can't remember the price I think it might have been about $45.

I guess it depends on who is in your group - adults, children, ages etc. We (my self, DH and our 2 best friends) have booked the backstage magic tour, the 7 hours one in 3 parks (our best friends have done it before and recommended it to us. They loved it so much they are doing it again with us.) We are also doing the segway tour at Epcot (it just looks like so much fun.)

I loved the Keys to the Kingdom tour (MK) and the Behind the Scenes Tour at Animal Kingdom.

I truly believe that any tour you take will be great!

We are going at the same time....Cannot wait. DW and I decided to do a tour this time. We decided on the KOTK tour. You get to go through a seperate entrance of the HM, get on your own boat on the JC, and if there is time I heard that maybe Pirates....You also get to go underground...It will be just us 2. Also another thing to think of is that they have 3 different times that you can do this... 8:30, 9:00, and 9:30 am. If you go earlier, you can actualy get pictures of Main St. with out any people...But hey lunch is included....so for 2 people with tax is 116.00.

We did the Segway tour a few weeks ago, left it for the last day of the holiday and it was just so much fun. None of use would hessitate to do it again.

It depends on how old your group is though (it's for over 16s maybe 17 only I can't remember as that barrier didn't quite effect me!). If gadgets are your thing and you like EPCOT and don't want the tour to be *too* Disney then it is the thing for you. I found that on the other tours WDW offers, much of the info was already known to most people who had been on any WDW websites, particulary this one.

It was $80 and worth all of it (though we didn't think it was that expensive at all), more of a 'once in a lifetime experience' (which we fully intend to do again!) than a 'tour'.

We have done Keys to the Kingdom (AK) and Wild by Design (AK) and enjoyed both of them and recommend them both.

Most recently we did EPCOT Undiscovered future world. We were not wowed by this tour and found it a little boring. There were a couple of highlights (going in the computer room of MS), but overall would not recommend it. We did not even ride anything. The guide just gave us a brief explanation of how it works. (We were glad we had paid a discounted price. It's no wonder it's only done twice a week and is not too popular, it needs some work.)

I was at WDW May 13th-May 23rd and did three tours (KTTK, Backstage Safari, and Around the World on a Segway. I really enjoyed the KTTK tour. I was in the first tour of the day (8:30) which according to the tour guide is usually the smallest group. We had only seven people in our group and had a really good tour guide. It was very interesting. The Segway was alot of fun and I'll be doing it again when I go back in September, but it was more about the Segway itself than any interesting fact about Epcot. Backstage Safari was OK. We got to pet a black rhino and a spiny lizard, saw the holding area, vet area, and food preparation area, and had our own safari (without the Big Red/Little Red spiel), but it was only OK. The Segway was fun if you like the technical/mechanical stuff, but KTTK was better if you want real Disney trivia/inner workings knowledge.

For adventurous adults (over 16), the SEGWAY TOUR!!!!
And, it can be had for $68 with a AAA or AP discount.

I'm planning on the Keys to the Kingdom tour which I know will require one day of admission.

Does the Segway tour require park admission? I was thinking of doing this while my husband was playing golf (he's too heavy for this tour for us to go together)

Yes Dawn, you will need to use a days park admission to go on this tour, it was a great tour though and quite a few of the people were alone (I guess other people in their groups were doing other things too), but because the group was so small and we were all learning a new skill we all got on right away.

I can't tell you how much fun this is, I've reccomended it to so many people I wish I could get commision. I would say it is worth the use of a days entry just to do this!

I took this tour a little over a week ago & LOVED it! It really depends on who your guide is. We had Sarah. We rode Soarin & Test Track. She also took us into a lot of very cool behind the scenes areas! My DBF & I were the only ones on the tour, so it was like our own VIP tour. Maybe "blah" reports will do you a favor and no one else will show!! Worked well for us!!!

BTW, you also get VIP seating for Illuminations that same night!!!

I also recommend the Segway tour at Epcot. We did it last summer and will be doing it again next month. Lots of fun (although we felt terribly clumsy for the first half hour or so - but then it was a breeze). And yes, we got an AP discount on it.

The sunrise safari that you can take if you're staying at the AKL concierge is also really excellent. But it's only for AKL concierge guests (or at least that was true last year).
