Nothing wrong with an additional option, but that is not the issue. The issue is whether or not Disney then reacts by recognizing their reservation system had more capacity in the mornings. So they take away more all day park reservation spots from the passholder bucket and force then to just have afternoon entry spot. In other words, what was a choice winds up blocking out passholder all day entry choices. Taken to the extreme, what was an Incredi-pass becomes an Epcot after 4 pass. The only “choice” on our passholder reservation list is the afternoon entry. The all day spots that should have been there are now in the ticket holder bucket.
As I mentioned upthread, Disney is 100% in control of the reservations that are available. If they determined more folks could be accommodated in the morning, they could adjust accordingly. My issue (it seems--your issue, too) would be more restrictions placed on AP holders. (And, also trying to make AP holders- the villain. )
