I don't think you can beat Beach Club in the hot summer. The pool is amazing and despite the "lure" of Epcot nearby, there is so much to do at the resort (and adjacent Boardwalk) you could easily just "relax" all week and never leave the resort.
We went to BCV 2 summers ago -- we were there on opening day! -- and had a ball. We swam a lot, enjoyed the Boardwalk at night, swam more, ate at Beaches & Cream. I didn't want to leave! We are going this summer the last few days of July and as I knew the weather would be steamy, we booked Beach Club Villas. With all the pools, restaurants and shops in the area, I may never even THINK about a park!
Have fun choosing!
