WDW spa advice

Thinking about trying a spa this trip. I know DVC offers a discount but I can buy SpaFinder certificates at Costco and use them at Mandara (Swan/Dolphin) and Canyon Ranch at Gaylord Palms (we'll have a car). I've also read that SS spa is better than GF. I'm pretty frugal generally so it takes a lot for me to justify the pampering.

Any thoughts/experience???

If those Spa's are listed as "Participating Spa's" then I don't see why you can't use the certificates. But...you may not be able to combine the DVC discount with the certificate. Just like shopping at a department store; you can't combine promotions. You can just use one.

BUT...I strongly urge you to call ahead and get all the particulars. The number for the Mandara Spa is 407-934-4772.

I've never used the GF Spa but I used the Spa at SSR and it's very, very nice. I've had massages and manicures/pedicures that were wonderful!!!

Do call and see what your options are. But above all have a wonderful time!!

I have been to all the Spas you have mentioned, several times to GF, many times to SSR although this has been over the years and both before and during it being part of SSR, Mandara and Gaylord Palms.My experience was that Canyon Ranch was the best spa, followed by, SSR then GF and lastly Mandara. Now there is no way a spa experience is all bad but I think Canyon Ranch had so many great treatments to choose from. Check out all the menus online, see what appeals to you and enjoy every moment!!

I like the SSR spa a lot more than the GF spa.

Also, the DVC discount is only on a small limited number of treatments offered not everything on the "menu" can be discounted.

I am not frugal so can't tell you if it's worth the experience. I go to the spa on every vacation. Just make sure to budget in the tip when you are pricing the treatments.
