WDW Marathon

Does anyone remeber what the crowds were like around the WDW Marathon this January 2006? My DH may run in the 2007 marathon and just wondered what the crowds at the parks were like. For reference we have only gone during the summer months. We are hoping it will be less crowded than summer!!!!

The crowds were "average." It was busier than the usual value/slow season but still not too bad. For example, we waited 15 minutes on Sunday to ride BTMR. The busiest day was the Sunday after the marathon. It was cold so that may have helped keep the crowds down.

We always go in July. DH ran the marathon this January and it was quite different than being there in the summer. To us the crowds seemed pretty low. We had a good time but boy is it a different experience. I was definitely not used to having to wrap the kids in a blanket to see the parade or to remember to bring gloves! Say what you will about summer I'd rather be travelling in shorts with my water/spray bottle that wearing a winter coat and gloves. All that being said I believe we are heading back in January again. DH got hooked on the Disney marathon!
