Sound fun (and yummy). Hope you have a great trip!

So here's an update! My DFi and I are all saved up and the room is paid off!

We are 45 days out! This is his first trip and he is happy that I made this countdown for him. He is also making a fun lil design with the heads if you can't already tell!

Here is what I have planned so far:

Sat Oct 18th- Arrive and check in at PopC
To Hollywood Studios!
12:10-1:10 TofT
2-3 TSMM
3:30-3:50 Indiana Jones (since it will be closing :( )
6pm ADR Sci-Fi Dine-in

Sun Oct 19th- to Animal Kingdom!
10:05-11:05 Dinosaur! (we're not going to make it! - my fav part!)
12-1 Expedition Everest!
1:50-2:50 Kilimanjaro Safari (will be doing this first thing in the morning. Always something different later!)
5:15 ADR Rainforest Cafe @ AK

Mon Oct 20th- to Epcot!
9:15-10:15 Mission Space (not my fav but I know DFi will enjoy it!)
10:20-11:20 Test Track! (He will love it!)
11:50-12:50 Spaceship Earth
6:30 ADR Biergarten Restaurant

I know my FPs are close but I can always change times but I think it will work smoothly for the two of us!

Tue Oct 21st - his first day at MAGIC KINGDOM!
9:35-10:35 BTMR
11:35-12:35 7DMT!!!!!!!
1:10-2:10 Space Mountain!

And we will be attending MNSSHP this night also! I think I'm crazy for planning this way but the second half of the week he gets to plan and he knows he's with a Disney world vet so it will be fun and easy!

For MNSSHP he will be Olaf! My mom got him this hat.

He still wants a whole body suit of some kind but I remind him to make it easy to get in and out of ride and comfortable.

I'll be going as Anna cause I can pull off her braids without a wig! This is my costume!

My DFi is super excited for the Halloween party. He decided what we were going to be!

A good friend of mine will be down there too and will be attending the same party! So exciting seeing someone you know in Disney!

DH and I just came back Monday from our kid-free trip. Here's a little mini-trip- report:

Thurs - arrived at WL, took boat over to MK, Liberty Tree Tavern for Dinner (great, btw) rode Splash, 7DMT, IASW, POTC, AND best of all - we got to enjoy the Tiki Room, Country Bear Jamboree and Hall of Presidents, all of which my kids refuse to do because they are "lame". :lmao:

Friday - EP in the late morning. Was planning to do lunch here but only made it from Mexico to Germany because it was SO. DARN. HOT. so we had to get out of there. Stopped at Electric Umbrella for lunch on way out - GROSS!! We both got the French Dip burger which tasted like dog food. HS for the evening and 50s PT Cafe for dinner where we loved the atmosphere, but the food didn't do much for us. Poured the entire night. We did TSM, GMR, ToT, ST........and then got out of there.

Saturday - AK this morning. Again, So. Hot. We just did EE and KRR, wandered around a bit, ate lunch (QS) at Yak & Yeti (ok), then back to the hotel for the day. Whispering Canyon for dinner which was BY FAR our best meal of the trip. Got the steak & potatoes and it was to die for. oh, since we were hanging at the resort this evening, we took the ferry over to FW to check it out and then got on the horse wagon ride which took us around FW. That was cool

Sunday - Kona Cafe for breakfast. Underwhelming, as was all of the Poly (our first time there). Maybe due to all the construction. I have now crossed Poly off my list of resorts I'm dying to stay at. I will go back for a meal once construction is done and see if I feel the same way. EP for the evening where again - OMG, HOT! Really just wandered around a bit, went to Teppan Edo for dinner which we both liked (I got the scallops which were really good), rode TT and Spaceship Earth on our way out.

The heat really put a damper on the trip for me. I don't do well in temps over 80, much less 90+ and humid. We went last August and it was a little more bearable, but this time.....yikes. Next year for our kid-free trip we will go in the Fall. :cloud9:

LOVE THIS THREAD!!! So I'm hopping onboard as well, first off I'm Terrilyn and my loving fiancés name is Talmadge. I'm 28 he's 30 (29 and 31 when we take our trip) and we're getting married November 8 this year!!! ddc96ddc8d.....originally we wanted to do a Disneymoon but finances wouldn't let us so we're doing a 5 day cruise and two days just to ourselves but recently we've both been blessed with new jobs and the first thing that came to my mind was "DISNEY WORLD!!!" It took some convincing with him, like most people he was like "how can Disney be romantic" but after talking to him more plus he found out about test trak, lights motor, action (he loves cars) as well as Indiana jones are all attractions there he was 100% all for it then. LoL. So we will be traveling to Disney World 11/14 to 11/21 of 2015 for our 1 year anniversary, we don't have kids but are currently waiting on a beautiful Persian kitten which I've named "Kisa"(kee-sa) . We'll be staying at the All-Star Music cause I loved all the bright colors and the piano shaped pool dde0a and only have park tickets for 5 days so the other days we'll go resort hopping and Downtown Disney, we'll be arriving early that Saturday so we'll do HS or EPCOT that day plus doing a fancy restaurant...I'm hoping Cinderella's Royal Table because she's my favorite Disney Princess ☺️ but we're still deciding. We're pretty much a go with the flow couple and we love to plan ahead with things, we enjoy the simple things and splurge when we feel we deserve it so this definitely a major splurge!! LoL. This will be my 3 DW visit, 2 full trip and first time staying on Disney grounds and his first time going all together so we're both super excited!!! And the most exciting thing is that the company he works for has a main office in Jacksonville, Fla. and has the option to transfer so who knows! Maybe in the future we'll become annual pass holders

Sorry it was so hot but glad you had a good time. Sounds like you managed to squeeze in some fun despite the heat! We have never been between June and September due to the heat....but one year it was in the 90's in October so I do sympathise.

Love this thread......DH and I love DW and prefer to go without our kids who are now grown. We took the DD and DS when the DD graduated from high school in 2004 and they were a real drag. So, we started going by ourselves after that. We went five times without them and then on our last trip we took our DS and his fiancé. He was still a drag :confused3 We are headed back alone next month - YAY! I can relate to so many posts here about people not understanding why we, as adults, love to go to DW. I celebrated my 50th birthday there 5 years ago and had the time of my life! I will be celebrating my birthday on our trip this year and cannot wait. I love seeing the characters as much as kids do......it's just so fun. Our trip this year is Oct 30 thru Nov 7 --- anybody else going to be there then?

Sounds like you had a wonderful time and I completely understand the heat exhaustion. I try to time my fall trips for the last week in September and I don't recall the heat ever being miserable.

I love the Poly and am excited to see how things look once the construction is complete. It has always been one of my most favorite resorts but rarely fits into the budget. WL is my new favorite since it's much more budget friendly and it is gorgeous.

@craedaisy12 - didn't want to recopy your post but everything your doing looks amazing! My BF and I are planning a trip in Feb 2015 for Valentines Day weekend and I would love to make him a countdown just like yours - what a neat idea.

P.S. Great costumes!:cool2:

Thanks! Oh it should be nice in February! My DFi is enjoying his countdown! I'm glad I made it! And I get to watch it go down too which is always exciting! Thanks about the costumes! We should have fun!

I'm so excited I have to post this right away!!! I was able to snag a BOG ADR for 5:40 on fri Oct 24th. I had pretty much given up on that ressie but for some reason had one of the moments to what the heck and check it, kind of thing. I was shocked to say the least that it came up!. Without hesitation I clicked it n got it! Then immediately texted my DFi, who is still working, about it. I still can't believe it. Since this is his first trip, right now he probably doesn't understand how excited I am... But in 38 days he will understand! If your still waiting for a ressie to show give it some patience. I had the mind set to hopefully get an email for he lunch Fastpass or just wait in the line. But instinct took over and I checked. Not sure if we will get rid of one of our other ressies or just pig out. Haha. This makes hump day so much better!! ~October 18-26, 2014~

Glad it came through. We have dined there for lunch and dinner and enjoyed both.

Our family just went for the first time this year, two boys ages 13 and and 17. Hubby and I want to go back next year for our anniversary, without kiddos, but our older son wants to go back with us!! He loved Disney more than our younger son, so we may have to take him with us.... Not the perfect situation, but I'm just tickled that he loved it as much as hubby and I did!!!

I'm so glad you guys made this thread! My DBF and I are both 25 and are getting ready to go on our first Disney cruise next weekend. I have been to DW 3 times and I know he's been to DL once I can't remember about the world. I have convinced him to stay at a resort for 3 nights next September and do 2 park days before our 7 night cruise. I'm trying to plan it so that we can be there on my birthday! I can't wait to see everyone's tips I'm already a little overwhelmed but excited with all the planning that goes into this vs a cruise but I drive DBF crazy vacation planning so I know it will be a blast!

Welcome to everyone.

I just realized I could subscribe to threads. It will be easier for me to help/make suggestions to adults from now on...

Especially when it comes to resort. Good news. DH and I like doing split stays. By the end of November, we'll go on a 6 nights "Resort hopper" trip during which we'll stay at 5 RESORTS. The only one we've tried so far on those five resorts is AKL...

We already know Port Orleans French Quarter, Polynesian Village, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Coronado Springs Resort... Now, we'll get to know Port Orleans Riverside, Yacht Club, Wilderness Lodge and Caribbean Beach!

We are also planning another trip in april 2015 during which we are thinking of staying at All-Star Sports and Art of Animation with a strong possibility for Dolphin and/or Old Key West...

I love themep arks, water parks and restaurants but I must admit I have a passion for Disney hotels/resorts. I would love to try them all at least once in my life.

I might be able to help some people when they are looking for reviews or a certain experience. ::yes::

This is just great. DH and I dined in the *breathtaking* ballroom of Be Our Guest during our last trip to Disney. It was SO romantic!
