WDW Commando Club

:worship::worship::worship: Wow what a speedyness of fastpasses! Pardon my spelling over the next 3 weeks. Mayhem came visiting again yesterday, and an old curling injury has my left hand totally bandaged due to inflaming all the nerves and tendons in it. Should be just healed in time for the trip.

I guess I'll start a trip report soon, that is if anyone wants to read it:confused3

The Magic at WDW is all around you, but sometimes you have to make it happen:goodvibes This is my best Commando adventure that I helped along abit:goodvibes

As most of you know I always get a haircut at noon at the Harmony Barber Shop, it about 11:45 and we were in the store next to the Barber shop (I was checking out something for Deb's document, when I saw the Dapper Dans walking through the store, my wife and son were across the store so I went up to them and asked if they were going to be at the Barber shop at noon, They said they would try to make it after the Main Street show:woohoo:

I then told them how 8yrs earlier on our Honeymoon they cornered us in the store across the street (we were wearing the Bride and Groom ears) and sung "When You Wish Upon A Star" to us and she will never forget it:goodvibes

About 12:05 they walk into the Barber Shop (my son was in the chair already) they came up to me and asked what my wife's name was:) They then called her out and said they understand that 8yrs ago they cornered us in a store and sang "When You Wish Upon A Star" she said yes you did.

One of the Dapper Dans then said Guys you know what we got to do:confused3 they than sang "When You Wish Upon A Star" to us in the Barber Shop (my wife started crying abit:lmao:, this song lasts forever when someone is sining it to you:lmao:) when they were done we gave each other a big kiss and everyone clapped:goodvibes

I guess that topped the $100 GC for WDW and dinner to the Outback I gave her 2 weeks earlier:rolleyes1

Although there were alot more unplanned things that happened on this trip, IMO this one was the best, You gotta love The Dapper Dans they are AWESOME:yay:

:thumbsup2 nice job ron!:thumbsup2

Ron,

About time I joined the Commando Club.

Hook me up with a digit.

;)

:welcome: Brian you are member #172:cool1: I do have a funny story about Brian, last week when we arrived I wore my Disney Commando / Dis Dads Club shirt we went to see the Princesses and Belle said Strangely I have heard of The Dis Dads Club:scared1: I started :lmao: because I knew what Brian did on his visit, but besides that it seemed everywhere I went I was drawing attention with people asking ?'s , BigTiki can back this up since it was also happening when we where in line for POTC:eek: Well needless to say after the 1st night I did not wear the shirt again (had 3 with me) I had a agenda I wanted to keep, and I can't tell anyone ways to do things if I think I might be getting spiecial treatment:goodvibes

A little trivia (you probably will never guess)

- What ride did we go on the most (it is a tie at 9 times)

- Who was the 1st to sign my sons autograph book

- What saying has my son picked up from a show (has no idea what it refers to:lmao:)

I will be shocked if anyone guesses these I have told no one this info, but the answers are pretty interesting:rolleyes1

OK no takers

Tieing in at 9 times was Test Track & Jungle Cruise

1st to sign my sons autograph book was the Ukulele player at O'hanas

Follow the red flag from Flights Of Wonder, on a side note I was chosen again to hold the dollar bill for the bird to take, this time it was a Australian Red Breasted Cockatoo:banana:

I probably woulda got 0 out of 3 (maybe I'd guess Test Track, but that's only cause I now know the answer).

Would love to see the FOW pic.

This was my fave achievment from our last full day at MK

The PC is showing me a white square with a red X, I really would like to know your fav achievment:yay:

I feel bad that you missed Storytime, I guess it is my fault since I kept you out so late, if we are at WDW at the same time again. I'll make it up to you double fold:goodvibes

Meh, sleep was needed, and the AAA people were going accomidate us anyways, but rain stopped that.

The pic was a pile of fastpasses we accumilated on Friday the 26th, I believe the weather called for rain all day and the hurricane was close, so people stayed out in droves, making it a real easy day to get fastpasses. Most of the return times were within 40 minutes of getting the passes, re-opening the window so I went to town, and cashed them all later as it got busier in the evening, once people realized it wasn't going to rain:thumbsup2

The left hand is completely bandaged, which makes driving, typing and life a little more frusttrating in general. I'm on over the counter anti-inflammatories (such as Advil), and since I've dealt with this injury in the past know how to deal with it. May check with my doc later in the week to see how badly I threw it out, but I doubt that he can do anymore for it than what I'm already doing. I'm an former first aider, and DH has his major first aid ticket, so it takes alot to make us squeemish these days. It should be healed in time for my trip, but may take the tensor bandage with me in case I blow it out again during the trip.

I would have gotten #1 right, but that's it... haven't been on the boards lately, good thing I have a long weekend to catch up! Glad you had a good trip, can't wait to read the TR. Awesome pixie dust from the Dapper Dans!

I can see the pic now (PC runs wierd sometimes:eek:) That is a nice collection of fastpasses thumbsup2 Nothing like express ride boarding:yay: My wife was on your wife's facebook page before, you caught some greet meet & greets at the pre Fantasmic at Arts & Animation:banana:

Count me in I always walk around the park without undergarments.

;)Have to admit, the title did get my attention and make me giggle. My mind wandered off towards the possibility of chafing before I got back on track to commando=planning. Admittedly immature, but yet another example of the DIS making me laugh.:rotfl2:

My name is Randall and I am an Incognito Commando. You might ask yourself what an Incognito Commando is. Well, I don’t use binders or laminated sheets to plan or carry. Oh yes, I do spreadsheets, calendar and all kinds of info with Word, but when I am done, I move them all over to my Blackberry. Also with my Blackberry I have access to the Internet with all my favorite WDW websites. I just look at my phone for any info I need while in the park with no one the wiser. Plus I have the WDW Map app for it with lots park info wait times, calendars and location where everything is. I plan what parks for which days and then plan ADR’s for that day. No set schedule, just what rides and shows we want to see. Of course being an Incognito Commando with a Blackberry helps to make that go smooth.

1st trip as family, I planned tirelessly . . . stalking the DIS & absorbing every tip to be had. Everything was neatly laminated and placed in a binder. 10 miles from our house :scared1: & I realized I'd forgotten the itinerary. My husband still laughs about that. His approach is very relaxed (too relaxed for me obviously. He thinks we have no plans and just show up for character meals when we're hungry.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: So now I plan (it gives me great joy & relaxation), but then put it all in my phone. He thinks we're winging it while I know each nap/swim/meal owes homage to many months of methodical planning. We're both relaxed that way.:cheer2:

:welcome: You are member #173:cool1: Left it home:scared1::scared1: you must have been a wreck:eek: Putting it on the phone is a wise choice:woohoo: On this trip I had over 100pgs of notes and I only carry a small pocket notebook in my back pocket in the parks, this trip about 2 hrs into the train ride I packed up everything and put it away, my wife said are you done already:confused3 I said yes, she grabbed the notebook and saw all that was in it was what parks when and ADR's, she looked at me like what's up with this:confused3 I told her this year I wanted to follow my instinct:rolleyes1 With my son wanting to hit certain rides more than once and not knowing what one's they would be, I decieded we would have to wing it, instead of following a plan, I wrote down what we did, I knew what had to be done during the trip, but didn't give it a certain time:eek:

Needless to say everything worked at well:yay: and I think we actually got more done then if I would have followed a time schedule, We had some hard stuff to acomplish, how could I say I would get the #7 Transportation card at what time:confused3

So with that once I start the TR it should prove quite interesting:rolleyes1 On the spot planning is one of my favs
