Where is everyone? Don't you guys know it's Friday night. Fridays seem better now that I'm working again :lmao: I can still make happy hour.....oh yeah, I have kids now!!!!
Friday night? Um....it was still only 3:45ish your time! :rotfl2: Getting an early start on your weekend? :rotfl:

Ethan just asked me if he would be rich too if he married Miley Cyrus :lmao: Should I go into prenuptial agreements at this age :lmao:

Holly - did your job get figured out?
Yup! I received an email this morning telling me they've decided it's OK for me to either take only a 1/2 hour lunch or come in at 7:30 instead of 8 so I can leave at 4:30 every Monday. :thumbsup2 I think I'll choose cutting my lunch to 1/2 hour because it will be harder to get Tyler up 1/2 hour earlier when we'll already be getting up 1/2 hour earlier than we're used to because I'll be starting work at 8 and I'm currently used to starting at 8:30.

So now I have to get him signed up for the before and after school child care. I think that will cost me $35/week.

And I gave my notice today by email to our office manager. She responded with "That's great news. Congrats. So your last day is Sept. 30?" I told my 80 year old boss first. I wanted to be the one to tell him because I've lasted longer working for him than anybody ever has. Most people blow up at him after one year. So I told him the news, and I told him he's my favorite one there and that I'd still like to pop in and visit him sometimes, maybe on my lunch hour (he doesn't go to lunch, just eats a quick sandwich at his desk because he can't stand to waste time that that he could be working). The other attorneys were bummed that I'm leaving and one (one of the partners, the one I call the Energizer Bunny) even asked what it would take to make me stay! I told him the same pay I'd be getting at the new job, plus the same amount of vacation I'll be getting, and the same insurance plan.

The new place has a great plan. Instead of the $2500 per year deductible my current place has, the plan at the new job is ZERO yearly deductible, just a $20 copay for office visits. $75 deductible for emergency room and they pay 100% of the rest. They pay 100% of most things. It's truly amazing!

Well my work day is over ;) I called Jon and he said are you going to start spending more money than you make like you use to :lmao:

Oh man :lmao: I'm sure Bubba is throwing up right now :lmao:
Probably! But it's so yummy! Did you ever see "A Goofy Movie"? There's a character in there that's just like Paulie Shore's character in the movie Encino Man, but instead of pouring slushies into his mouth from the machine, he's pouring cheese into his mouth all the time from the spray cans! I LOVE that because it reminds me of me! :rotfl2:

Well it was probably happy hour for her :confused3
Nooooo, it was before lunchtime for her. She's 5 hours ahead of my time, so 8 hours ahead of you. Crazy how that works and yet we're still all able to carry on conversations and keep in touch. :grouphug:

So I worked 7-6:30, then spent 1/2 hour talking to the Energizer Bunny lawyer. He was telling me how he thinks I'm such a smart lady (that word lady made me feel old) and that he knows I'll do very well at the new job and that they're luck to have me, blah, blah, blah. He said he's really sad to lose me because he says it's really hard to find good legal secretaries who can handle all the responsibilities, etc. It was a really long and sad conversation and I told him he's one of my favorites to work for because even though he's so incredibly hard to keep up with, he's one of the nicest attorneys I've ever known because he's so down to earth. He's the only guy in the office who has a smile ALL the time, no matter what. Even his eyes smile.

Anyway, I left the office at 7, stopped for some beer on my way home, and have been relaxing, eating supper, and having beer while catching up on here and with my email. :thumbsup2

$35.00 a week :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
No, that's just for my 3 days, his dad pays for the other 2 days because they're days he's at his house.

And I think it's $45 for my days ($6.50 for before school and $8.50 for after school times 3 days).
