Yeah... but going to see MC is also pretty eerie too... :rotfl2:

I'll try... but you know... My psychic abilities goes where ever that ship goes...

I hear that the Wonder may be going somewhere that summer so they can start to work on the pier at PC... so we may get both...

I'll have to have a split personality...

Hey John... Hugs all around... We DO miss you !!!!

Hope things get better and remember we're always here with a shoulder and a funny story or two...

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
DITTO! John, what a bunch of crap your family has been through. Thanks for updating us, I've been wondering how things are for you and yours. If you get a chance, try to check here once a week for Ian's hilarious stories of his and Sukie's Saturday outings! :rotfl2: I look forward to that weekly burst of laughter! :goodvibes

Wouldn't that be funny if after all this speculation and detective work, they find out that they scooped us???

It does make sense to have both ships out of PC that year if the new ships are due to come in the next year...The new ships are much bigger... I'm sure they Have to do SOME work to the pier, etc... I also heard they are going to put in a parking garage to handle all the extra cars parking there....

Ya got me...

The summer is long if you have enough money ;)

Who parked? There wasn't that many people that I know of.

Yes... and if you can tell the Gods of Wall Street to stop playing games... I could probably go for the whole summer...

But then again... I'll probably be busy... I can afford my lake house then and Nan said she had first dibs, but I'm sure that Ian and Sukie are going to fight her for that and then Angie and Dennis said they'd like a place to park the RV... and Bubba said he's bringing Venetia for some fishing and Tater cakes with Gravy...

So I went up to Tyler's school on my lunch hour to take his library books that I forgot to send to his dad's for library day tomorrow. When I got there, he was in the office. :headache: He's been there every day except 1 in the last almost 2 weeks.

This week was the worst for him this school year. One day he gave somebody a bloody mouth on the playground, one day he punched a boy in the face in music class, one day he punched a girl in the stomach in Spanish class, he has threatened to beat up the teachers when they try to calm him down, and today he tackled his best friend and grabbed his head & banged it on the floor and told him he's going to kill him. I'm very shocked his mom didn't call me about this.

Most days this week he's had an in-school suspension (just for one day at a time). The principal told me he would have been suspended by the 2nd week of school, BUT she says he's so smart, she wants him there keeping up with his schoolwork. So she made sort of a hideout for him in her office, under a table with a table cloth that hides him. It's calming for him, he does his work under there and then they have long, in-depth conversations. She tells me that after every incident, he tells her how much he hates himself for doing those things and he says he's so stupid for not being able to stop doing that stuff. He says he likes his friends and would never want to hurt anybody and doesn't know why he does those things. :sad2:

So I called his dad on my way back to work and updated him. I told him it's time to call the psychiatrist back and ask what we should do. He freaked out and told me, "Oh great, and next thing you know, he'll want to increase his meds". Since I'm learning that dad always ends up doing the right thing, I handled him differently. I didn't yell or argue or get snotty about it with him, I just told him, "Well, he needs to know what's been happening so he can be updated on how things are going for Tyler". He told me to tell him what the Dr. says.

So I called the psychiatrist and told him all that and asked what we should do. Our next appointment isn't until the end of October (because we just had a med check last week), but he told me we need to increase the dose just a little and see what happens. He's currently taking 1/2 of a .25mg pill in the morning and again at bedtime, so he told me to bump the morning dose up to the whole .25mg pill and keep the 1/2 pill at bedtime. And he wants me and his dad (without Tyler) to come in a week from today to talk about all this because that's the earliest appointment he has.

I emailed his dad this and he told responded that he's not sure increasing the dose is the right thing to do, but that he'll do it starting with tomorrow morning's dose. He didn't argue with me a bit! AND he didn't copy the Ice Queen on our email discussions. Interesting.

Anyway, lots of good luck wishes please for a better day tomorrow for Tyler to help boost his self-esteem.

Hey, you forgot about us! Tyler can be your housekeeper. :rotfl:

Holly... it's good that you got the advice of the Dr...

Lots of hugs for you and Tyler...

Tell him to believe in himself and that he can do good things!!! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Uh oh.....It's a good thing I didn't give my notice today at work. I just checked my email and the hiring attorney at the new job told me he discussed with the other partner me having to leave early every Monday for Tyler's OT and the other guy convinced him that it's a problem they hope I can resolve. Monday is their heaviest work day because the attorneys work over the weekends and have lots of work piled up on the secretaries' desks Monday mornings. I emailed him back and told him I have the very latest appointment of the day and she only has that late appointment available on Monday. It's the only day she works past 5pm. Tyler's appointment is at 5:30, so I'd have to leave work at 4:30 to allow for walking to the parking ramp near work to get my car, then the drive to get Tyler and it's almost 1/2 hour from his school to OT. So maybe they could let me take just a 1/2 hour lunch that day to compensate, doesn't seem like that should be a problem, good grief! So we'll see what he says.

Good luck Holly...

And for me...

I'm going to try something that is very rare and pretty incredible in this house...

I'M GOING TO BED EARLY!!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

But I could be back soon if it doesn't work out...
