Sure did! I slept until 11am, until I couldn't stand trying to sleep through the construction truck noise any longer. The smart thing would have been to just stay up when I got up at 6:20am to start getting things done. I have lots of laundry to do and still need to clean the living room. But my motivation that was here last weekend is long gone.
I think the sleep will ahve done you more good Holly.
Good morning all!
We are meeting up with Nan, Paul, Molly, Wilson, Jackie and Cheri for breakfast this morning at Mimi's.
Last night we had dinner with Cheri and Jackie at Hook's Pointe and had a great time.
We spent pretty much all day yesterday in the parks. We started at DL in the morning and then later on went to DCA, then back to DL.
We're enjoying DL, but a bit of a shock after the MK. We know our way around the MK so well, and keep getting confused in DL.
The castle was a shock. Sukie refers to it as Sleeping Beauty's condo.
Just a couple of culture shocks:
1. We can't get over how people stand and wait for the light to change before crossing the streen. Even if there is not a single car around ... They still stand there waiting for the light, rather than just crossing. We're from Chicago, the traffic light is well, more of a guideline than a rule.We do not stand and wait for the light. We just launch ourselves out and across the street. The day we got married we stopped in at City Hall in DL to pick up the "Just Married" buttons. There must have been some confusion, because it has a picture of Cinderella and Prince Charming. I asked if they had one with just two Prince Charmings, but they don't.
2. There are a lot more Japanese tourists and Australian tourists here than we see in Chicago. Also, I'm sure that there must be a rip in the fabric of time in Japan. The style in Japan, from what I can tell veers towards some trampy version of Jan and Marsha Brady, who like to look pouty and pose for photos sporting peace signs with their hands.
For the most part I can't tell much about the Australians. They seem like Americans, only louder.
We've had a lot of people wishing us well, which has been very nice. We've also had some dirty looks, which are less nice, but who care.
We're really looking forward to tonight but are still clueless as to what's happening. We're not going to be wearing the wedding outfits. It's just too hot, and from what I understand, there won't be anyplace to change.
Hi Ian. Thanks for keeping us updated. Glad you are enjoying DL. We were there for the first time after the cruise and were surprised how much we enjoyed it. You must see the fireworks if you haven't yet. I have to say they beat the socks of the WDW ones, and that pains me to say!

Have a great party tonight and we will all be with you in spirit.
