I am hoping to do the Princess Half- Marathon on March 6-8, 2009. We will see how the training goes. Today did not go well as 25 minutes of walking my legs broke out into hives and turned bright red! I don't think thats supposed to happen.
 Great start Jill, don't give up. Maybe something you walked near just irritated your skin?

Thanks Michelle, but I guess I missed it. Didn't see your post because I had to get the bread out the oven and finish up the rest. Oh well......I saw it this morning, so that's good! :thumbsup2

Nope...we're still waitin...

How do you know what's next? I don't see anything but a cargo ship.

Hi Holly and Michelle

I am still watching it and start feeling tired as it is 00.20 (midnight now)

I start watching it at 8 pm!!:scared1:

I wonder about first seating, are they missing to see the lock?

A very good point. I've read about 5 books on all different types of motivation and when I was doing research on emotional eating I found this. So many recovering addicts are emotional eaters as they are still looking for a psychological satisfaction to fill an empty hole. Maybe something it may be useful to your work.

Very interesting.

A member who reached lifetime with me (she achieved and has maintained her goal weight), said in a meeting yesterday, that it was very threatening the closer she got to her goal weight.

She said that she was happy and also scared because she has not weighed this weight since being a child. She shared with the group that she thought she had used weight to keep people at a distance and now had to become comfortable not having that "barrier" anymore.

... A lot goes on at my meetings.

I'm not a very good cheerleader type (not much of a rah-rah, goody goodY), but I am very supportive.

I really do focus on managing eating, but often the discussions verge on some very emotional stuff.

I kid around that I'm the National Public Radio or PBS of weight loss rather than the FOX Television approach! :rotfl2:

Hey Jill, I'm doing the DL 5K this Friday with a ton of Dissers from the Wish boards and my last year's cruise on the TA and Med. It is really fun. I did the WDW Minnie the weekend before the PC cruise and wanted to go back for the Princess, but I'm booked with lectures. :upsidedow There are tons of Dissers doing the Minnie.

By the way, for anyone who cares about such things, I changed our appointment for a license and civil ceremony to 12:15 PM. It had been 11:00 AM which might have been a bit too early, especially with the start of school.

We're still getting married on September 4th.

Did you post the photo from you camera-phone? If so, HOW?

Jan :earsgirl:

No silly, this is what I PLAN on having for lunch when I'm at California Adventure in TWO WEEKS. I stole the picture from the DIS.

Michelle- Thanks for the pm. I was eating dinner and must have missed it.

I am excited and will definatly go over to see who is doing it fro the DIS. I have never run before so this is going to be different. I thought ahalf might be better to start with. We will see though how I do these next few weeks and I have a bad knee too but will wear my brace if need be. I won't sign up for anything till I am sure I can do it.:)

So I'm back to HOURS of trying to figure out how the heck to post a couple pictures here. I'm about to throw my computer out the fricking window. :headache:

No rust spot is still there. We do have a pic from the tender in Cabo I will post.

Ok...well to sum up the reasons I would not cruise again on Carnival....
.

Venetia,

Thanks for posting this. Sometimes I feel like a DCL snob, but I am very glad I tried DCL first and have done no others. I would probably never cruise again if Carnival were my first.

John, Boris Johnson, the mayor did look a bit of a wreck didn't he. I was going to say to my John a the time the same words you did about him!!! Being the mayor of London he doesn't have anything to do with us too much - only deciding annoying things that affect us like congestion charges in London etc - but he is a bit of a character. He used to be an MP but was a bit of a buffoon and always putting his foot in things. I was so surprised he was elected to mayor, but I think it was a bit of a political thing as the last mayor was Labour and Boris is Conservative, so a bit of a protest anti Labour vote rather than anti the last mayor. He is a bit of an excentric and that can be funny. I don't think he was a good representative at the ceremony however.

Thanks for letting me know it was not just Yankee insensitivity Marilyn. Good to know your perspective.

All I can think of about London 2012 is how full the place will be! I wonder where all the people will go?

I hope we aren't too embarassed.:sad2:

You will do a great job - even if Boris is still Mayor. Your country has so much to offer that I cannot believe that the games will not be just fabulous.

Now . . . about that spare bedroom in your home in 2012 . . . .

Sorry John... I think either Nan or I have first dibs... although I think I did hear something about Monica moving in for the month... Nosey neighbors and all!!! :rotfl:

Hey Marilyn... how many does that house next door sleep?

Michelle- Thanks for the pm. I was eating dinner and must have missed it.

Jill, those of us doing the 5K with bad knees are speed walkers. It's much easier on your body.

Dear Gaylean and anyone else who comes along and wonders where we are...

Most of us spent the day with our butts glued to our seats waiting & watching the webcams :surfweb: patiently for the Magic to traverse the Canal...

Kelly gets :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 for being the one to get up early and stay to the very end...

The rest of us probably did close, and if someone else beat Kelly to it, please inform the official judge in this competition, The PLANKMAN :thumbsup2 himself...

Marilyn had to go to bed because she found that the laptop making her sleepy...

Deborah outdid her... (sorry Marilyn...)

With us today we had Me...Monica, Jan, Marilyn, Robert, Cmash, Jackie, Nan, Holly and probably quite a few that I just didn't remember... Please forgive me and if you let me know...I'll add you to the unofficial list...

I enjoyed the comorodity that formed this afternoon and recalled the frantic page turning posts that took me back to the days before our Journey...

My brain is now mush and although I wished everyone there a safe passage... I wanted very much to yell at the screen....

"HEY...GET OFF MY SHIP!!!"

(:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: )
Please try to not overdo it on our thread until we all get over our exhaustion from hitting the refresh button so many time. Please keep all gossip to a minimum until we can come back

and Hey...

Have a Magical Day!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I'm not a couch girl :snooty:

That should be about time for Paul and I to have that real honeymoon and start again at The Ritz and tour around the Lake District.

I'm sure we'd be in for pub night :drinking1
