7AM at Peggy's house:

Yes, still no electricity at my house. When I stopped by yesterday afternoon to pick up supplies is was 90degrees inside. I sure hope I don't have to drag my laundry over here tomorrow.

I posted a link to the pre-existing 2010 speculation thread on page one.

Need to add my official congrats to SPEED WILSON! :thumbsup2
Good job!

....
Woody??? How did you get there??? .....

Well last we heard he was on a cruise in the Pacific, so I suspect that they flew to New Zealand, got the ship, cruised some Islands and are now back to NZ for some R and R at the B and B before flying home. ::yes::

Jan :earsgirl:

Let me know what I've won--the grand prize or a LOV-ER-LY parting gift--the home version of WHERE'S WOODY :yay:

Would Dad read the website?

Jan :confused3
I doubt it. And even if he did, he'd google until he found a different opinion. He likes to play sort of a "battle of the research" to find something that contradicts anything I send him. I've learned the best thing to do is do what I think is best when Tyler's here and let his dad see the differences. He always ends up figuring it out.

Good morning all.

Yes, it is 4:45 AM here in Chicago.

Yes, it's Sunday on a holiday weekend.

Yes, I woke up for my WW Meetings.

Yes, I did not have my contact lenses in and misread the clock and thought it was time to get up, and so showered and shaved.

Yes, I could have slept for another hour.

So here I sit, all dressed up an no where to go, so to speak.

Sukie worked a double shift yesterday, was gone since the morning and did not get home until the wee hours I think.

I don't even have a Saturday shopping story to tell.
Good morning Ian! Sorry you got up so early! ;) Hope your WW meetings go well today.

Hey, I just realized something....

What with it being Holly's birthday yesterday ...

This is a Holly-Day Weekend.
:rotfl2: Well Ian, actually it does continue since my mom and my aunt are coming to town to take me out for a birthday lunch. But they won't get here until about 2pm, so I guess it's not lunch, but maybe early supper, I don't know.

BUT.....I know they're bringing birthday cake! Yesterday on the phone, my mom told me she had to get going because she needs to pick something up from somewhere that closes at 2pm. Right away, I knew what it was because she and I know their ours very well. Every year since before I can remember, my mom has always gotten my birthday cake from here: http://www.boonzaaijerbakery.com/OurSpecialities/Cakes/tabid/64/Default.aspx and I always get one for her. I always have the one in the middle of the top row, the chocolate bavarian filled. I can taste it just thinking of it! The bavarian filling and the frosting are the consistency of ice cream, so this is definitely a cake that has to stay refrigerated. It won't do well on their our and a half trip here, so I hope she puts it in a cooler.

YUMMY!!! I can't wait!

Tammy posted over on the 2010 speculation thread.

'I see alot of repo'ers on this thread. I am in the process of moving two reservations that I made on board on two different cruises to dreams in order to get ready for the special cruises. If the last two years have taught me anything, it is that I cannot miss any opportunity to make special memories with the people I love. If there are special cruises, repos, transatlantics and so forth, I am going to try to get in on it.'

Woohoo. Firstly, great to hear from her and secondly good news that she wants to sail with us again!!!
I sure miss Tammy! I cherish the memory of our Palo dinner that first night and really enjoyed our conversations, plus some wonderfully amazing things she did for me. Despite all the sadness she's been through, her good spirit shines through.

Darrell describes carrots 2 ways - the ones he isn't going to eat and the ones in brown sugar goodness :scared1:
I'm with Darrell! I can't eat carrots. They make me gag. Probably because my mom forced them upon me so often as a kid. YUCK!

Wow Jackie, any word on how much longer before your electricity is restored? Such a pain.

Well, I have to do a bit of cleaning so I don't scare my mom away, then run to a store quickly, then come home and start more yardwork because I'd like to have the front and driveway finished before they get here. Oh, and I need to take a load of clothes out of the dryer and put the ones from the washer into the dryer. Have to do dishes too because even a single unwashed dish in the sink freaks my mom out. ;)

Goodmorning all,

Well, It has been a fun weekend here. Starting on Friday we had a small dinner Dis get-together with a bunch of folks who are in town for the DL half marathon weekend. We went to the new Garden Walk that was barely open. It looks like it will be nice, but it wasn't even close to being up and running. We had the whole place to ourselves. We did see a large pink shrimp walking around from Bubba Gumps.:rotfl: It was all folks from our Med Repo cruise and Susie and Curt from the PC repo as well. The majority of the discussion was "McCain chose who? and she would be the President if he dies in office?" :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

A couple of folks from San Diego were staying at our house including another 5 yr old girl. So, Zoe had a blast. The next morning the two moms got up and out the door at 6am and Jonathan was in charge of the two 5 year olds. His job was to get them up and out the door to the kids race at 8am. For those of you who know Jonathan 1 child is enough for him, but this was a good test for him as the other little girl decided she didn't want to get dressed, eat or go to the race. He finally said, "Do you want to take that book with you?" "Yes!" and boing she gets ready to go! This was good for him. :woohoo:

He just did a 100 mile bike ride with several of the same dissers, so he was just in charge of getting us there and picture taking.

The 5K was really fun, it was Toy Story theme this year (Ratatouille last year) It was muggier than we are used to here, but 30 degrees cooler for the marathon this year. The marathon is on now all over the streets of Anaheim. We walk/run through CA AD and DL. They had all of the floats out with music and characters on them with rides going around in circles as we go by them. It was really fun. It was so much better than the Minnie I walked in at WDW the week before the cruise. Next year it is the princess, but Jill will go to that I cannot. All of our friends from the TA cruise fly back and forth for every single marathon. They do the 5K, Half marathon and marathon. And if you think I'm talking about a bunch of young folks... I'm the baby of the group.

The kids race ended up having about 700 kids in it. It was enormous. The one at WDW had about 30. The girls got 2 medals.

I'm sore this morning after walking about 6 miles total yesterday!

Food additives can be a real biggie with some kids. Have you looked into the Feingold method? Maybe something there would help explain to Tyler's Dad why he needs more nutritious choices.

Jan :earsgirl:

I like this website.

I don't like frozen or canned peas either, but fresh, out of the pod and raw I like them.

In fact, I prefer vegetables raw. My kids did not know what cooked carrots were until
Tom's mother served them in a brown sugar and butter glaze. :scared1:

I ask you, (rhetorical question here :teacher:) what is more healthy--raw or cooked in sugar syrup??? :sad2:

Jan :earsgirl:

You'd love living here. We get unbelievable fresh veggies and fruit all year round. And we have farmers markets year round.

Holly, I noticed that your picture looks a tiny bit older today!

Happy belated birthday.

Oh, they are showing the DL half marathon on the news right now. I forgot to mention that the medals for these races are unbelievable.

Yea, Wilson!!!!!

Hey Wilson, look who was at my race:

Kelly, your post brought back memories of the 5K I did at WDW (Epcot/MGM) quite a few years back. (04?) It was so wonderful to walk through the parks with no 'guests' there. I was at the back of the pack and at times felt I had the place to myself, except for the CM's cheering me on! :lmao: I'd gone to support a friend who was doing it and I told her I'd just bring up the rear and make sure she hadn't wandered off course during her race!

Wow Guys! I was scanning through the last few pages and didn't realize that it had been so long since I posted on this thread. LOL. I have been really busy but this talk of the new itineraries has got me posting again.

I hit a major depression after I got home from the cruise and I am on medication. But the medication doesn't seem to completely work, maybe I need to be on it longer. I am being closely supervised by my doctor.

I have decided that for the future, I am going to cruise in the summertime and do WDW or something else in the Winter over Christmas. Of course, that is after the cruise I am taking this Christmas, then I am going to do that pattern. I am getting too old for WDW in the summer (too hot!), and I like the summer weather at the ports for going to the beach and so forth.

So, with this plan, I am anxiously waiting the summer 2010 plans for DCL. I am booked on RCCL Freedom of the Seas for next June, just made that reservation, because I can get a balcony on Freedom for about the same as an inside cabin on DCL. So, I am going to cheat and try another cruiseline.

I guess that is all the news, I am lurking quite a bit. It is nice to know that you guys have not forgotten me. :lovestruc

Hi Tammy. Great to see you. So sorry you are suffering with major depression, but really you have had a major major issue to deal with, and ongoing with the children too. Post cruise hit us all, but for you it must have been so much worse.

I so hope we get to cruise with you again, but enjoy the ones you have booked in the meantime.

Hi Tammy! :goodvibes It's so good to see you here! Sorry for all you're going through. I sure can't find the right words, but please know there are always lots and lots of hugs here for you!

Jan, I'll be sure to show Tyler your emails and pictures when he gets home later today. :goodvibes

Laundry is drying, dishes are done, kitchen is clean, groceries are bought and put away, living room and kitchen floors are clean. All that's left is to clean the living room and pull weeds out front. The living room will take too long to clean, so I just shoved some stuff out of the way and am now headed out to do some more weeding. :thumbsup2

WOW! I've accomplished so much this weekend! I SO love taking my St. John's Wort again! :cool1: Tomorrow, Tyler and I can clean the living room together and maybe organize his bedroom. He's been wanting to clean the windows, I think mainly because he's fascinated by how the top and bottom panes open inward so you can clean the outside of the window from the inside. ;)

So, off I go to get a big glass of water, and am headed outside to work!
