Since Holly started it, I will add my favorite lawyer joke. This one even made my lawyer friends laugh. Two of them love to parachutte too. :rotfl2:

WHAT DO YOU CALL PARACHUTTING LAWYERS?

SKEET!

Jan

Food additives can be a real biggie with some kids. Have you looked into the Feingold method? Maybe something there would help explain to Tyler's Dad why he needs more nutritious choices.

http://www.feingold.org/pg-overview.html

Jan :earsgirl:
Never heard of Feingold, but just read the info from the link. I did mention these things to his dad a year ago and he just doesn't "buy it". Doesn't believe me, no matter what. But I've eliminated many of those items or have never given him some of them.

Me too, made it all worth while. :thumbsup2

I wanted to do it (they did not ask) so knowing it was desired but would be a surprise added to my enjoyment! Each stitch was made thinking him, hoping and praying he has a good year so now he is wrapped in love and prayer.

Jan
Aw, that's such a good thought, I need to pass it on to Tyler too. It will make him smile for sure! :goodvibes

30 pages behind.

Ready to head to the showers but came back to add that I got a Thank you HAND WRITTEN By Tyler today and plan to make a scrapbook page with it and some of the pictures.

How are you doing?

Jan :earsgirl:
Just so you know, I did have to write every letter (except the letters in his name) on a separate piece of paper first to remind him of what each letter looks like, but at least his fingers and hand are cooperating better at getting his pencil to go the way he knows it's supposed to. :thumbsup2

OK, this is like hours past my bedtime, so I'm headed to bed before I like fall over in my chair. Goodnight all! :cloud9: And good morning Marilyn (and I think Deborah's still in Aberdeen). :goodvibes

:rotfl2: If he were here, I can tell you his response would be a very assertive "YUCK!" complete with screwed up face to match. ;)

I don't like frozen or canned peas either, but fresh, out of the pod and raw I like them.

In fact, I prefer vegetables raw. My kids did not know what cooked carrots were until
Tom's mother served them in a brown sugar and butter glaze. :scared1:

I ask you, (rhetorical question here :teacher:) what is more healthy--raw or cooked in sugar syrup??? :sad2:

Sounds reasonable to me!

THAT'S THE GOOD MOTHER THING YOU DO SO WELL!!

Would Dad read the website?

Jan :confused3

ha, I say that too, but our story is from a bar with Kamazies all around...you have 2 anniversaries now. The one from the beginning and the wedding. Since I'm so nice to my darling husband I picked our wedding day/date to match the meeting date (+5 years) and since I'm even nicer  I tell him we can just use the Friday after Thanksgiving instead of the real date (11/30) of course what I really mean is you owe me for 3 anniversaries, get it :dance3:

What are KAMAZIES? :confused3

Jan :sad1:

I might be running out of things to say that I'm doing on Facebook.

I was wondering about that yesterday!!!:lmao:

This is great Marilyn, thanks for that tip. I gave John the info to check the link you sent. Our other option is Emeril's Tchoup Chop. It's on Universal property and we've been there a couple of times already. We love it. We were just looking forward to doing something different.

John said he doesn't want to wear "a monkey suit" so I think that leaves out the Grand Floridian. I guess he wants to do a cruise casual. What is the dress code at Seasons52?

I guess you would call it cruise casual - long trousers and shirt/polo for men and similar or dress or skirt/top for women. Can't remember if I saw shorts, but Brit men have a habit of dressing down, so there could have been.

Hey guys... :goodvibes

Don't know if this will go through... but if you google Clear Lake TX you will know where I am...

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=clear...um=1&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&resnum=1&ct=title

Ditzy relatives went to bed an hour ago still believing that all will be well... told me not to go to the store... so I went to Ben & Jerrys instead with my nephew...if I have to put my life in danger than I might as well be happy with Cherry Garcia in my tummy...;)

The weather channel is now talking about it vearing off a little into TX... which means us... oh happy...happy joy...joy... I hear that we MAY go to the airport and ride it out with the go team for my BIL's plant (He's in charge of several chemical plants in the area... I hope the marriott is hurricane proof. Of course they have not told me yet whether or not we actually have reservations... ):confused3

Oh... I really do think she is adopted... my sister I mean... although she does look alot like me... and maybe the milk man... I don't know...

GET OUT OF THERE.

I think I might take that booklet that the evacuation plans came in and smack her upside the head with it... ;)

I of COURSE will be blamed for causing the LATEST family fight (it's ALWAYS my fault...) :sad2:

You're in the path at the moment, so go and leave them if needs be.

Oh just go back to the pics from when they first got Mrs. F... figure out which El line they live on and go from there!!!

Well... I'm off to sleep... see if I can get some shut eye before tomorrow...

Night all!!!

Oh and...

Marilyn & Debora...

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: HI!!!!!!:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Morning Michelle.

OK, this is like hours past my bedtime, so I'm headed to bed before I like fall over in my chair. Goodnight all! :cloud9: And good morning Marilyn (and I think Deborah's still in Aberdeen). :goodvibes

Morning Holly.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: A fake palm tree and long unerwear just will not do. You will have to bribe me with something much better than that!
Michelle: No, Donna does not Want cash, add her and Harry to the DIS green scarf list please! :yay:

Amazing what a difference those puppies are making in our COMMITTED list.::yes::

(:scratchin Now, at $10 each, we'll have a decent kitty for drinks or tips! Maybe even some toward the Cruise itself, no?)

Jan :confused3

KEN: No afghan committee, we are all making DIS-green scarves ::yes::

But maybe we need a couple Mickey heads on Gaylean's for incentive.
.

Greetings from Wellington, New Zealand. We're staying at a charming B&B in a renovated late Victorian villa with antique furniture. It's just lovely.

Woody
I have a penpal of 30 years who lives in Wellington :yay:

PM me if you want contact info. She loves to welcome travelers!!

Jan

Good morning all.

Yes, it is 4:45 AM here in Chicago.

Yes, it's Sunday on a holiday weekend.

Yes, I woke up for my WW Meetings.

Yes, I did not have my contact lenses in and misread the clock and thought it was time to get up, and so showered and shaved.

Yes, I could have slept for another hour.

So here I sit, all dressed up an no where to go, so to speak.

Sukie worked a double shift yesterday, was gone since the morning and did not get home until the wee hours I think.

I don't even have a Saturday shopping story to tell.

Hey, I just realized something....

What with it being Holly's birthday yesterday ...

This is a Holly-Day Weekend.

Tammy posted over on the 2010 speculation thread.

'I see alot of repo'ers on this thread. I am in the process of moving two reservations that I made on board on two different cruises to dreams in order to get ready for the special cruises. If the last two years have taught me anything, it is that I cannot miss any opportunity to make special memories with the people I love. If there are special cruises, repos, transatlantics and so forth, I am going to try to get in on it.'

Woohoo. Firstly, great to hear from her and secondly good news that she wants to sail with us again!!!

Oh flip!!! Now rumours are for going back to the Med. That will please Monica!

Jan :earsgirl:

Darrell describes carrots 2 ways - the ones he isn't going to eat and the ones in brown sugar goodness :scared1:

We're off to go see Tropic Thunder and then go couch shopping :thumbsup2

Have a great day everyone!

Michelle - stay safe!!!!
