Thanks Holly and Marilyn too. I slept way in today. Got up at 12:30pm. The phone was ringing all morning with good news but I was sleeping....

Wilson qualified 2nd and kept 2nd at his heat race. :yay: :yay: :yay:
YAY FOR WILSON!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

HE DID IT!!!!!

WILSON TOOK 2nd PLACE!!!!!

THIS IS SUCH A GOOD DAY FOR HIM.

I wish I was there to give him a big hug!!!!

I get to see them in about 3 hours, I think we might make a celebration for him to come home to.

This is the best place he has had in the IKF series. This is the race series that we travel all around Northern Ca for. WOW, such a great day, I'm so proud of him
WOOHOO!!!!!!!!

TOO COOL!! Love his expressions :goodvibes

Me too, made it all worth while. :thumbsup2

I wanted to do it (they did not ask) so knowing it was desired but would be a surprise added to my enjoyment! Each stitch was made thinking him, hoping and praying he has a good year so now he is wrapped in love and prayer.

Jan

Holly - I keep forgeting to ask this...

How did your friends like the cruise??
Well, I haven't talked to mom or dad, but I know they liked it because they've been before and loved it, and I talked to both kids at karate on Tuesday and they had a blast (it was their first time)! :thumbsup2

Hi Jan, how are you tonight? It looks like you're catching up to reading and posting.:)

30 pages behind.

Ready to head to the showers but came back to add that I got a Thank you HAND WRITTEN By Tyler today and plan to make a scrapbook page with it and some of the pictures.

How are you doing?

Jan :earsgirl:

Jan likes to remind us what drivel we came up with a day or so ago!!! :lmao: :lmao:

It helps to keep the old geezers and the ones in training refreshed and reminded. Thanks Jan!

NO, Jan is 30 pages behind! :rotfl:

This reminds me of when I was in labor for DS#1. When I had a contraction I would relax totally like a rag doll and those around me would keep on talking. When the contraction was over I had to get my comments in on all the things they had said in those minutes.

:rotfl: Yup, she talks even then.

Jan :)

Don't pay attention to him Holly... He's all talk... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: (or so I hear... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: )

Ian - can you please PM me your address??? PLEASE??
Ian, Monica wants to "google earth" you and spy on you. ;) And then she'll show up at your door one day and suprise you and Sukie!

Oh just go back to the pics from when they first got Mrs. F... figure out which El line they live on and go from there!!!

Well... I'm off to sleep... see if I can get some shut eye before tomorrow...

Night all!!!

Oh and...

Marilyn & Debora...

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: HI!!!!!!:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Miraflores Locks tonight at sunset.

Jan :yay:
Very pretty! When looking at the pictures, it feels like we were just there last week. :cloud9:

Michelle, tell your sister to get bent and get you and mom on a plane and outta there. Better safe than sorry. The confirmation may have allready been cancelled in the church's eyes...

it sucks being the baby and a know it all huh?

Personally, I think it's taken the spontaneity out of WDW. Once upon a time you could decide on a whim where to eat, now you have to decide what you will want months in advance.
That's really crappy. Especially for people who've never been and would have no way of knowing where they might want to eat in advance.

Our older son Tom was first away from our family when he was a Senior in high School--17 years old for a week at Boy Scout camp with his Troop.

Our younger son Ted was 14 when he had his first sleep-over at a friend's house for a couple nights when we went to PA for Tom's Lasik surgery. That spring he was gone for a week on a mission trip to Dominican Republic with friends from his school.

I think you have to know your kid and do what is right for HIM or HER. There is no RULE OF THUMB here. It takes Parental Detective Work.

Jan :earsgirl:
And I know Tyler wouldn't handle it well for at least a couple more years. Not sure how I'll convince his dad of that though. When I mentioned the idea to Tyler, he said, "You mean 2 weeks without mom? No way, are you crazy?" :rotfl2: I assured him he doesn't have to, and that I was just mentioning it because his dad was telling me how he went as a kid. Then he said, "Oh, well if my dad did it, I'll do it." ;) But I think that's just him trying to please his dad.
