We are, I was just playing with her. That's why she loves me so. Don't be jealous. I thought you guys would be here in May 2009 but it sounds like plans have changed and you get to visit the FL bunch. Then I will be jealous.

I know. It was hard to change the plans and miss out on seeing you over there. If there isn't a cruise in 2010, then we will do the west coast then.

Do you get over to Fl at all?

We have been twice. We went to Miami and Ft Lauderdale for a month before I got pregnant with Ethan. Actually, I'm pretty sure I got pregnant there! And then once before the cruise. We want to do another trip to the Nick Hotel and go to DW since we have never been there yet. I have a feeling that the 2010 itinerary might postpone that trip for us ;)

We are doing the EB Repo and I'm wondering if anyone can give me some feedback on two excursions in Aruba: Sailaway Beach & Snorkle and the Snorkle and Sail. We are currently booked on the Snorkle and Sail, but I really want to experience a beach in Aruba. Both are from like 8:30-12:30 or so which surprises me since there seems to be more involved with the sailaway beach and snorkle including lunch. I was thinking it might be possible to get to a beach after the excursion though. Any advice?

Also, anyone do the Mexican Cooking Experience in Puerto Vallarta? We were going to do massages at Krystal that day, but may consider this instead.

Thanks!!

We did the Sailaway Beach and Snorkel and felt it was our best excursion on the whole cruise. We walked to the sailboat from the Disney MAGIC, it was not far. We had a boat ride to the snorkeling areas, no bus as the other excrusion describes.

The water was great. The visibility was great. We had fun with our underwater camera getting pictures of fish. The ship is very interesting. The guide was VERY INTERESTING. The fellow we had as lived his whole life on Aruba so knew a lot of trivia and our group asked a lot of questions.

The lunch was at a real restaurant that served other people off a menu but our lunch was a prearranged barbeque style. Very good. Restaurant was a Palapa (a palm thatched roofed open air building) over the water.

We walked down the pier it was on to get to the beach. We could swim there (chair rental was extra but there was a covered area with benches). The Pelican group does not have their own chairs, we would have had to rent them from one of the hotels. We waded into the water and spashed around a bit then enjoyed the boat ride back to the pier near the MAGIC.

We showered, walked into town, saw some of the architecture and ambiance and headed back to the ship. We did not see any place to swim near the city so if you wanted a beach, I am not sure how you would find one. It looked like the city had paved riht down to the water--piers, buildings, etc.

The Renaissance Marina Hotel is right downtown and has a beach their people can go to on an island nearby and they go by boat, no waterfront beach. The hotels with waterfront beaches appear to be mostly over on the west side where we snorkeled and ate.

We walked through the Renaissance Marina Hotel. There was a fountain at street level near the street as we walked into the open lobby when our backs were to the MAGIC. There were crabs in the fountain. If you go there and can get a photo of the crabs in the fountain, can you post the picture on PICTURE OF THE DAY 2 or this Thread? THANKS! That is the one picture I wish I had taken but did not.

Have a great time!!

Who don't you miss? You said just about everyone. It must be me! You haven't told me you miss in the last 24 hours!

Of course I miss you. You know I miss you the Mostest. And just to clarify, I do miss each and everyone of you.

Goodmorning all,

Well, today is the first day of full day camp for the young one (5.5 hours), so its an exciting day here. It's a fun way to prep for kinder. Jonathan and I are are going to go to a movie which we never, never do. When I worked at Sony Studios I saw 5 movies a week, so it's pretty exciting to go out. Our movies are so expensive here that we just won't pay the money (not to mention that babysitters are $12 per hour) ... plus we pay a fortune for our direct tv package. And we are going to have a quiet house to concentrate on writing without interuption for 2 solid weeks. As excited as we are, I'll bet we'll miss her more.

We had a big garage sale this weekend, sold tons of the little stuff that we couldn't sell on Ebay. We've really dwindled down the clutter. Got all the rooms cleaned and reorganized. Prepped the next round of scrapbooks (still have 10 rubbermaids to go.) So, we got a lot done and watched tons of movies and listened to show tunes and business lectures all weekend. Most important we changed the life of the little boy across the street when we gave him the play ride on tractor that he rides up and down the street 24/7 now.

It's been wild animal kingdom here. The other night we were talking to the neighbors when bats were flying all over the place above us. Then at 4am I heard some noise outside our bedroom and discovered 3 racoons bathing in our little fountain. They looked like humans washing their hands and faces and each one had their own little spout to wash from. We've had fruit rats eating all our strawberries and tomatoes. And hummingbirds have given birth in our yard and have been buzzing all over the place. So, then our cat has been waking up and moaning to get outside every morning at 4:30, but with the racoons and the opossums we don't dare let her out until daylight. Whew, I'm exhausted. You'd never guess I live in a tract home 4 miles from the beach.

:woohoo: Cool :cool1: The racoon I saw today was roadkill. :sad2:

I miss Rockin Bar D and Maria and Sylvia. I miss eating steak almost every night and swimming with my pod. I miss seeing everyone in the hall. I miss ordering room service at 2:00 am and drinking champagne in the morning. I miss it all.

Horrible isn't it? :sad2: But, what fantastic memories. Plus you have your new friends and some fun times ahead.

Congrats to Cheri and Jackie on the new cars. May they continue to keep you safe. Jackie, we'll have to figure out a way to get the "cousins" together one day! :goodvibes :thumbsup2

Glad to hear that for the most part everything is going "swimmingly" for everyone.

Michelle and Jan will be happy to note I changed my avatar sig. At first I had no idea what you two were talking about! :headache: :lmao:

We've been a little busy the last few days. Shannon and I are involved with a Federal political party and this weekend we had a "delegate Selection meeting" to send some people to the National Convention this November. I was elected to go. So now I have something to plan. However, I'm not sure if it is a blessing a or a curse - the Convention is in Winnipeg in the middle of November. For those that don't know, Winnipeg in November is not all that much of a "hot" spot shall we say? I'll have to break out the mukluks for sure! :santa:

That same day we went and visited a designer for our kitchen renovation. The price estimate came in a bit lower than I was expecting, particularly if we install the cabinets ourselves. The design seems easy enough so I think it is doable. Now we just have to go ahead and bite the bullet to get it done.

Saturday, Family Channel here was showing the Hannah Montana concert in 3D movie - and it was actually in 3D. So we picked up our 3D glasses at Wal-Mart and we had a family night watching the movie. Kaleigh (DD3) got so into it that she went to the toy room and grabbed the mic from the karaoke machine and started singing her own versions of the Hannah Montana songs while we were all watching the movie. It was quite cute. :3dglasses I will have pics posted on my Dropshots page (see link in sig) shortly.

Today I am to start laying some tile in our front foyer (really it's just a landing). We had some ugly lino in there and we got some tiles that look nice. However, last night it somehow got decided that we now have to paint the foyer before laying the tile. So today I am prepping the foyer and applying the primer so we can then paint it, before laying the tile. Seems like this little project has gotten a little bigger than first intended. Especially when you consider we had to also put down new subfloor because all we found underneath the lino was particle board.

Did manage to squeeze in some geocaching yesterday with the kids though. We were the first to find (FTF) a new cache that was put in a Provincial Park in conjunction with the Province's 150th birthday celebrations this year. Found a nice geocoin celebrating the event and a lapel pin. Just as we finished up and were heading back to the car the heavens erupted and it started to downpour. So we got lucky in the timing there. I did post some pics on my facebook page of this.

Next weekend is a long weekend as it is our Province's 150th Birthday (BC Day) and apparently I am going camping with Shannon's family. No, I don't have anything against Shannon's family, I just don't like camping. As far as am concerned if there isn't any room service then I am "roughing it". Oh well, I do like to Kayak and this will give me an opportunity to put my kayak in the water - something I haven't found time to do all summer yet!!

Anyhow, I'd better get dressed and start in on the foyer so it will get done sometime this century!! ;)

KEN!! NICE AVATAR SIG!!:cool1:

Michelle and I had been talking about that WEEKS ago and you did not comment or do anything so we figured you missed it and we posted it again. Glad you like it. Sorry we cannot make it colored, but it looks fine in black font.

Nice to hear that a construction estimate came in lower than expected!!

Heck, call it a foyer, it's your house! ;)

Jobs that get bigger once they start is something that I DO understand. Why can't the tile go on the particle board?

Did you get to keep the geocoin and lapel pin? Were there others in there for the next folks to have too? did you leave a surprise behind?

I'm having a horrible time today, getting bombarded by e-mails from Tyler's dad AND stepmom about the prescription. They both claim they're seeing negative side effects and they're telling me about a friend's autistic nephew who was taking 4 times the dose Tyler is and was having bad effects, so they had to switch his med, now that scared them and they're saying they're going to ask the Dr. at the next appt to switch his med to the new one the autistic kid is on.

To each e-mail I've responded with a very short one or 2 sentence non-confrontational response, and they're so angry about it. Actually, I haven't responded to any of the stepmom's e-mails because I don't feel the need to explain myself to her.

I had a migraine this morning BEFORE this even started, and am about to lose my mind.

Then, the school called and told me Tyler's having such a rough day, if he doesn't get under control, they're going to ask me to pick him up. :scared:

 so sorry to hear this
