drive by and good bye....
Been totally caught up with the kiddos play now that is over we are out the door for the Go-Karting Grand National in Santa Maria.
Hopefully I'l have some down time and internet connection at the race track to catch back up.
If not I'll see ya next week.
V: I sent you an email about the race info. I hope you got it. Give me a call on my cell if you guys are going to come by and see us![]()
and we're off....![]()
I did call and leave a message for the Dr. telling him about the conflict and giving him a heads up that they might be calling him about the "negative effects" they're seeing. Personally, I think the doctor will think they're nuts if they call with that complaint since he's only been on it one week!Sounds like a sound plan! The MD sounds like a great guy to be in on TEAM TYLER!!
Hang in there Holly!!![]()

Ian & Sukie - doesn't look like I can make it to the event of the year. I will be with you in spirit.

Personally, I think the doctor will think they're nuts if they call with that complaint since he's only been on it one week!I just wanted him to know that I'm not in favor of switching the med already, just in case his dad tries to pull something like that.
I'm also going to type up and fax the Dr. some info to put in Tyler's file, about the horrible day he started having and how he was able to pull himself around and regain control. And the afternoon teacher told me when I picked him up that she feels Tyler's starting to recognize when he's starting to lose control because she said he seems to hesitate before doing some acting out. This is great news that the Dr. needs to have on file so he will see slight improvements already after only a week. Tomorrow is when we start giving him the dose twice a day, so hopefully that helps too.
HOLLY: so far I have not found any pictures of the Canal Day BBQ but perhaps you can find one in a trip report listed on page one of this Thread.

I carry some pictures and a little scrapbook almost everywhere I go and there are no opportunities to share. I do not understand this lack of interest.
I had some trouble with my laptop and when I called to find out what to do, the man I reached was in PANAMA CITY!I told him we went through HIS canal. HE was interested.
He has good English too. He said that his Grandparents were from Barbados where English is the first language and due to the canal zone, Panamanians are quite fluent in English also. We had some nice chats in between figuring out what to do with the laptop. It is now at the Attitude Adjustment Center in Memphis.![]()

I'm having a horrible time today, getting bombarded by e-mails from Tyler's dad AND stepmom about the prescription. They both claim they're seeing negative side effects and they're telling me about a friend's autistic nephew who was taking 4 times the dose Tyler is and was having bad effects, so they had to switch his med, now that scared them and they're saying they're going to ask the Dr. at the next appt to switch his med to the new one the autistic kid is on.
To each e-mail I've responded with a very short one or 2 sentence non-confrontational response, and they're so angry about it. Actually, I haven't responded to any of the stepmom's e-mails because I don't feel the need to explain myself to her.
I had a migraine this morning BEFORE this even started, and am about to lose my mind.
Then, the school called and told me Tyler's having such a rough day, if he doesn't get under control, they're going to ask me to pick him up.![]()
Kelly, we found a drive in movie in Montclair. That is close to us. I didn't know if that was closer to you than Riverside.
.
Thanks Jan. I might give a look after Tyler's in bed. He's picking out his bedtime book now.HOLLY: so far I have not found any pictures of the Canal Day BBQ but perhaps you can find one in a trip report listed on page one of this Thread.

He said usually by a week, and today is his 7th dose, so any day now. Especially since he starts double the dose tomorrow.Did the Dr give you an indication of when you might start to see the impact of the medication?
That would be what I'm looking for. The bbq on deck on PC crossing day.Bubba and V took a lot of pictures of the special parties on deck. They may have one of the food but I'm not sure if that's what you all are talking about.
That's exactly what I told his dad. He told me to stop acting like I know it all, and that he still will tell the doctor all his concerns. Well, the doctor even told him last appt that EVERYTHING can have side effects. The Dr. told him some kids even have bizarre reactions to Benedryl and other over the counter meds. So I'm sure the Dr. will tell him the same again. He can't argue with those results. If there is side effects, you need to remember that almost everything has side effects but most you can live with. I hope it just keeps getting better for Tyler.
Is that the Mission Tiki? We used to go there all the time, but when it was a bit of a dump. Now it is supposed to be wonderful. Huell Howser did a whole story on the place.
Michelle and Jan will be happy to note I changed my avatar sig. At first I had no idea what you two were talking about!![]()
