I hate them. So silly to over pay for a stuff animal just because of a marketing ploy....My kids spent alot of the day online, Wilson finally registered his turtle, Snappy.
You are right, but she still crawls in bed with me and she is so TINY she does not look like a teenager.....4 foot 5" and 58 pounds.....
That sounds so similar to our situation, only it was in the mid 90's. My grandmother had had many opportunities to sell the property in the years prior. Then the big earthquake happened in LA and since it was an old building it got caught up in the requirements for retrofitting which would be very costly. It was during this time that I was introduced to the term "bottom feeders" by the attorney that was helping us. YUCK! But eventually it was more important to get out from under it and all the problems associated with owning it than holding out for "some day" when we might get a better price.
Just when you thought you had gotten rid of me - here I pop back in!
Sorry to hear about the accidents and the problems Angie is having with her house sell.
I got a little busy here at home and haven't had any time to check in at all.
But I am caught up on pt3 now!
We had a busy weekend here with the Billy Barker Days Festival going on. Billy Barker Days is a family festival/fair event that takes place in the middle of July every year to celebrate the Cariboo Gold rush which helped to develop this area in the mid-1800's. It starts on the Thursday evening and goes straight through to Sunday night. For a community of 20,000 (and that's being generous) it's a pretty good little festival.
On Friday I took the kids down to the park for "Kids Day" at the park where they had some little things going on specifically for the kids. My niece joined us as well.
One of the local grocery stores had "decorate a cookie" - a chocolate chip cookie you put icing on and then add your toppings of sprinkles, Smarties (CDN kind), small Kisses, and Jelly beans. Plus they gave away slices of watermelon and balloons.
I wonder how many WW points these cookies are worth?

And that was just Friday - Kids Day. Saturday is when the event gets into full swing and that's where we were driving the 1963 Cadillac in the parade. But I'll post those pics later.
Well that was Jackie's ONE and only accident - so I assure you she's safe. I have had a few fender benders, but nothing big, so I'm pretty safe too. Hey, you've driven with me!!!![]()
Nice to pop in on you too!
I'm still around - just a bit now and again. Hope all is well with you!![]()
Hey there girlie girl! I'm doing great, was up in Prescott last weekend and although I missed seeing Cherie we (my pal Barb from N.M.) and I had a great time at the Parelli Clinic (horses). I actually got to take a photo with him, shake his hand and visit briefly. He's amazing as a matter of fact he and Caesar Millan (Dog Whisperer) are working on a project together. Although Pat is a horseman, they are both "natural" trainers.
Ok, back to work for me!
Cherie - hope you are not sore anymore and are home safe and sound in your sleepy little town. I cannot believe how COOL it was up there after the rain 67! WHOO HOOO I was ALIVE again for a moment. Back in Phoenix 103 today with humidity (for us). UGH!![]()
Blessings to all!
I'm looking for pictures any time in the next 2 weeks. Do have the capability to make copies of Reefer Madness? I'd like to have that if you are able to make a copy of it. Thanks.
You'd love my presentation for grandparents. It's all about being aware of what's out there, how and why kids use and all that grandparents, aunts and uncles can do for early prevention.
Our popularity is from mixing humor with a very serious, dry, boring, depressing subject. We've become experts at combining humor with science to make it fun.
Yes, I'm following the problems in Britain of all kinds of addiction, behaviors and their research on THC. There are quite a few countries that have banned energy drinks now. Since they are not regulated by our FDA here they are running away with the money until they do become regulated. There are thousands of hospitalizations here that are mimicking cocaine overdose, it is the Taurine and Caffeine mixed together that is causing a synergistic effect harming the heart and causing heart attacks. When it's mixed with alcohol it is a disaster to the brain, stomach, liver and CNS as well as the heart. Bar owners and Red Bull are well aware of it, but they are all making money hand over fist, so they don't care what is happening to people. It's a fascinating story. Very reminiscent of the tobacco industry.![]()

I promised more pics from the fair so here they are...
We'll start off with getting ready for the parade. I was to be driving our local Member of Parliament in the parade in my dad's 1963 Cadillac. My daughters were going to be joining us.
Here is Shannon getting the girls ready with some tattoos before the parade.

Afterwards we went home, had some supper and icecream, watched some football, played a few games and called it a night.
Sunday was housework and the girls played outside almost all day.
Today, Shannon went to work, I had all 3 girls (my two and my niece) who played together in a "relaxing way" (their description not mine) and that was it.
Tomorrow I head back to work for a gruelling 3 days. Shannon has another job interview on Friday. We have a political meeting to attend next Saturday as well as a meeting with the Kitchen designer (guess which one we are looking forward to) and hopefully we can then get started on some of the house renos we want to do.
Whew. Now I'm tired all over again!
Okay, not a hidden mickey, but something is very Disney fishy on this play set....who can find it???

Opening night in 2 days....July 23rd and yes my friends in River City that is Molly's 11th birthday~~~~
I must task myself with the hairdressing routine, sponge curlers are her friend.
Tomorrow I'll make sure I get a good close up with Wilson in his make up. That boy has lonnnnngggggg eyelashes, I never knew
p.s. Also I must brag that piano is hand made by my husband. It is a folding table and foam board. Maybe he has a 2nd career in him yet, as a set builder....noT!!!
Really. I was thinking of getting the kids some but I haven't yet. Are they bad?
they aren't bad, just another thing of clutter in my house that makes my butt look fat.
The kids are in VBS this week and we just got back from the river. Brooke saw a friend that she hasn't seen since pre-k and they acted like they hadn't been apart and it was so nice. We love the family and it is refreshing to meet a great family that has kids both of our kids ages and are fun to be around for us. They are truly nice children. They were going to private school but they informed me that they will be going to our schools soon so we are really happy. Very boring for you all but we are happy.
