WEBKINS

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I hate them. So silly to over pay for a stuff animal just because of a marketing ploy....My kids spent alot of the day online, Wilson finally registered his turtle, Snappy.

I was told the other day the WEBKINS are so YESTERDAY!! (Gretchen's word exactly).....don't you dare get me a Webkins mom......

I didn't know that's how Gatorade came to be! Cool! I'm a big fan too because of how dehydrated I get. I reach a point every summer where water does absolutely nothing for me. Tyler's the same as me regarding heat and he's a big Gatorade fan too. :thumbsup2
.
You can learn about how they invented it on the website. Clever how they name is a give-away.

Aid for the Gators.....Gator-aid.....lemonADE....Gatorade!!

Glad to hear Tyler is no longer worried about swallowing the pills since they are little. I wonder how big he thought they would be

Jan :earsgirl:

When does Daniel go back to school?

Oh Gosh, this will make me so so so so sad. He is moving into his apartment (with two other guys) on Aug 15th. School starts on August 25th. He is going to spend the time looking for a job for the fall. He wants to wait tables.

Gretchen is a cleaning machine. She LOVES to clean....she is not too fond of picking up....but deep cleaning she loves!! She loves to clean toilets, bathtubs!! She is so funny!!

We have been looking at Oslo tickets....I just wrote Vanessa a long e-mail. We talk often and we miss her very much!! Her family vaction is going to Coatia (sp?)...I do not even know where that is :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Where will you go? When will you go? Vanessa is thinking of spending next summer here working.

If you see a good airfare let me know. We are looking leaving the 2nd or 3rd week June, maybe being in North Dakota for 4th of July. We are kinda waiting to see what the cousins come up with and then we'll hang out with them. I'm sure we'll see the old family farm, but beyond that don't know yet.

Is it easy for Vanessa to get a working visa to come back and work for a summer? She will be in college after this school year, right? Where is she looking at going?

uh oh....sounds like you have a budding teenager on your hands....I'm still happy in my tweener years :lovestruc

I think I will go back to the beach this weekend. I just came home on Sunday and I already miss it so much.

Daniel and I pulled all the items we have bought for his apartment together so we know where everything is. We got some good deals at the Tanger Outlet at the beach.

30 glasses Regular price $60 paid $8.50
Dishes for 12 placesetting - Regular Price $400 paid $22.10
Flatwear for 12 placesettings - Regular Price $290 paid $18.90

Got two Euro Loungers at Costco - List $2190 Paid $269
Coffee and end tables at Pottery Barn outlet - Regular $700 paid $140 for all three tables.
Wow, Lisa, you got some AMAZING deals! Holy cow! We have a Tanger Outlet about 25 minutes east of here, but I've only been a couple times when my mom came to town and dragged me there. Uggghhh......I hate shopping.

I will keep my eyes open for airfare for you too. Are you thinking of flying to Oslo?

Remember, Vanessa's mom and dad were in NYC when she was born. They moved back to Oslo when Vanessa was 3 months old....they decided to raise their family in Norway....and not the USA. Vanessa is a dual citizen and holds two passports, USA and Norway. She can work just about anywhere...

She hopes to go to University of Oslo.....very hard to get into, but kids who do an exchange year have a very good chance of getting in. Remember, University is paid for by the government (wich is one of the reasons gas is $11 a gallon!!). After seeing VA Tech and Uni of VA....she really wants to come to the USA for college, but her family just can't afford it and I do not think she wants to go into debt for college.....

take the year off and go visit :cool1:

That is why we got TWO Euroloungers.....very comfortable to sleep on. One of his roommates is a very dear friend of mine....he is a straight A Engineering student!! He is begging me to come down and COOK!! I will miss him, but it will be much easier to visit this year!! and we do have season football tickets!! GO HOKIES!!

You are right, but she still crawls in bed with me and she is so TINY she does not look like a teenager.....4 foot 5" and 58 pounds.....

Well I have talked your guys ears off too much tonight!! It is 11:30pm....time for bed.

One more thing, Frank got the ALL CLEAR from the doctor last week. He still is staying with us..:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 Fine with me....we love having him around.

Thanks for listening to me!!

I figure we'd be flying into Oslo.

I didn't recall that her folks were here, ah ha! Yes, it's crazy how high the taxes are in Norway, but those social services are sure nice to take advantage of ::yes::

that's good that you can visit. It will be nice with him having his own place and you can cook for them :goodvibes

wow she is tiny, that's almost half of Molly!!! did Annie and Daniel have a growth spurt later in life? Or do you think Gretchen will just be a little bitty thing?

My agent tells me he will be getting the drama on this too, but that he is going to tell them to forget about it... I just want to be done with it, so I hope we don't get pressured anymore on the price. It has been hard enough to let it go so far below what market was just a few short years ago....my dad had an offer and turned it down for $600, it's selling for $375, so sucky.

That sounds so similar to our situation, only it was in the mid 90's. My grandmother had had many opportunities to sell the property in the years prior. Then the big earthquake happened in LA and since it was an old building it got caught up in the requirements for retrofitting which would be very costly. It was during this time that I was introduced to the term "bottom feeders" by the attorney that was helping us. YUCK! But eventually it was more important to get out from under it and all the problems associated with owning it than holding out for "some day" when we might get a better price.
