Whoever gets the best replacement vehicle! :thumbsup2 Yep, I got the word they are not fixing mine, but not the phone call from the 'total your car' agent telling me how much $ I'm getting. So, no shopping yet.
.

Does this mean you're not afraid to let me drive you??? My, you're a brave soul. Dylan told me that from now on when we go to DL he wants to fly! Can't say as I blame him!:rotfl:

wow 31 pages into a new thread and no V!

I am happy to report I finished my first MBA class with an A people!! Don't know how, but I pulled it off.

can anyone get me up to speed?

Hi Marilyn!! (if you're here!) my wonderful Fruit Gum Gal!

Thanks!

West Side Story won best picture the year I was born. Ironically I Tivo'd it yesterday.

We watched it yesterday!!! :goodvibes

No big story there really, but he was surprised a 20somthing ''girl' knew who he was. Now, the story about dancing at the Playboy Club with Robert Lansing is something else altogether. :lmao: Here's a picture of him from the Star Trek episode he did.

Gee Jackie... I think you look rather good as a blonde!!!

I haven't heard anything yet...maybe tomorrow.

When we go to DL for the wedding, who's going to DRIVE??????:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Someone else!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

On a brighter note, Tyler was such a good kid at the jewelry party! He was my helper, helped to set up, then kept himself occupied in the other room most of the time, coming out occasionally to see what we were doing and hanging around out of the way. I asked him to pass out pens and catalogs and anything I could think of to include him, and everybody commented on how patient and well-behaved he was. We were there almost 4 hours and not one single complaint from him. Her even helped me take everything down and put stuff away afterwards. Now THAT'S the real Tyler. I told him many times how proud I was of him for behaving so well and being such a good helper. He seemed proud of himself too. :thumbsup2 I told him when I get paid from this show, he gets a small bit of it too.

That should put a dent in his savings bank!!!

Good luck tomorrow Holly!!!

:woohoo: :woohoo: Way to go V. I bet it feels good to get this first one done.

I promised more pics from the fair so here they are...

We'll start off with getting ready for the parade. I was to be driving our local Member of Parliament in the parade in my dad's 1963 Cadillac. My daughters were going to be joining us.
Here is Shannon getting the girls ready with some tattoos before the parade.

Here we are with the MP just before the parade is to start:

Shannon was in the crowd and took this pic of the colour party:

Here we come, and Kaleigh has spotted mom!

Here's a good shot of us all. NOTE: There is no camera around my neck.

After the parade we went to the park for some snacks:

We listened to some music:

The girls played a bit:

And we rode some rides:

Afterwards we went home, had some supper and icecream, watched some football, played a few games and called it a night.

Sunday was housework and the girls played outside almost all day.

Today, Shannon went to work, I had all 3 girls (my two and my niece) who played together in a "relaxing way" (their description not mine) and that was it.

Tomorrow I head back to work for a gruelling 3 days. Shannon has another job interview on Friday. We have a political meeting to attend next Saturday as well as a meeting with the Kitchen designer (guess which one we are looking forward to) and hopefully we can then get started on some of the house renos we want to do.

Whew. Now I'm tired all over again!

Ken, I got some great pictures of my nephew in a swim meet using the "sports" setting. What setting did you use for these pictures?

You two have anything to add???

Hey Ken...

Love the pics!!!

Did they have to give you a patch or something to get you through the parade without the camera??? ;)

(but you take such nice shots!!!)

Ken, I got some great pictures of my nephew in a swim meet using the "sports" setting. What setting did you use for these pictures?

The pic you used in your quote of the car was taken with Shannon's Canon A720IS camera and I'm going to guess that it was in auto mode.

My pics it all depends on the pic. Some were taken in auto because I was lazy, some were in P mode because I wanted to set certain things (like WB and ISO) and some were in sports mode (mainly the rides ones) because it takes the movement into consideration.

The setting really is determined by the shot i am going for. I tend to leave my camera in auto or sports mode the most though, because either works pretty well for if I want to grab a quick pic without much fussing around. When I am purposefully going around and taking pics I like to shoot in P mode or sensitivity mode the most as I like the little extra control they give me.

I was ok. That car is fun to drive (just not on the highway). It's nice having the top down and the 60's station going on the radio. So that sensation helped me with my withdrawl symptoms.

Besides, my camera was on the floor beside me should I need it.
