I was ok. That car is fun to drive (just not on the highway). It's nice having the top down and the 60's station going on the radio. So that sensation helped me with my withdrawl symptoms.

Besides, my camera was on the floor beside me should I need it.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

When you use P mode, what do you set the WB and ISO on?

I have to read up on S again--I couldn't really understand how it was different from Auto.

Bobby is on his way to North Carolina. :dance3: He will go to DL and then back thru the Canal in Aug. :woohoo: He is traveling with the Geeks that are on that trip. :grouphug: He will be traveling with LBGraves (Lisa) and family. He was very excited, but was not looking forward to the less than first class accomodations flying clear across the country! He will feel much better thoough once the children get him out of the box. :thumbsup2

Will Lisa post about his travels on his Thread?

Opening night in 2 days....July 23rd and yes my friends in River City that is Molly's 11th birthday~~~~

I must task myself with the hairdressing routine, sponge curlers are her friend.

Tomorrow I'll make sure I get a good close up with Wilson in his make up. That boy has lonnnnngggggg eyelashes, I never knew ;)

p.s. Also I must brag that piano is hand made by my husband. It is a folding table and foam board. Maybe he has a 2nd career in him yet, as a set builder....noT!!!

You've just been "quiet" lately... :rolleyes1

How was the birthday party???

& how IS our princess?? princess:

Ok... I'm thinkin that Will has Mickey ears...

The party hasn't happened yet, it is on opening night, she has 6 friends coming to the play along with the family (3 aunties, grammie, mom & dad, and our dear neighbors and her elementary principal and her partner) and then back to our house for ice cream sundaes (no cake) then the girlfriends are hanging out for the slumber party.

She is good and ready to be 11 I'm sure.

Also, it's not Mickey ears but you are looking at the correct wall....look closely what (or should I say who are those people) ???

btw, my counter-counter got accepted on the house. I'll believe it will be sold when the money hits the bank account. It is supposed to be 17 day cash deal, so I'm hoping for the best, but expecting them to ask for money for repairs, but after dropping the price over $75K they can kiss my hinnie before I'm dropping any more money. I feel like we are getting taken advantage of by the low ball price, but I just can't justify keeping the house knowing that no one wants it and I really don't want to keep keeping it up all on my own. I'm figuring my mom will be fine with whatever we sell it for so it's not worth stressing out over it.

Good luck, Nan! It sounds similar to the experience my mom & I had selling her mother's property over 10 years ago. Cash deal, short escrow, low ball price but just wanting to get out from under it! Our deal did go through, though not without drama, so here's hoping yours will, too!:goodvibes

& they are two of the same too!!! ;)

Cherie...

Back at ya...

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

( threw one in for Nan...)

But Will does have Mickey ears...

Good luck too...

Now if only Angie and Dennis will have good luck also...

Silhouettes from Disneyland?

BINGO

It's Molly and Wilson and the Wilson and Molly....hahahhahahahahah ya know how you get the reverse image with the original picture....I just stuck it in the other frames (I have us as a family, once at Dland and then again at WDW)

My agent tells me he will be getting the drama on this too, but that he is going to tell them to forget about it... I just want to be done with it, so I hope we don't get pressured anymore on the price. It has been hard enough to let it go so far below what market was just a few short years ago....my dad had an offer and turned it down for $600, it's selling for $375, so sucky.

hahahahaha you are correct, same kid(s) different angle....

I'm still around - just a bit now and again. Hope all is well with you!:wizard:

Well it is great to see you. We are doing very well here thank you. Are you joining us on the Sept 12th 09 cruise?

Well you are not getting rid of US that easy!! :) We plan to have a lifetime friendship with you and John! :thumbsup2

:yay:

I saw Marilyn's Mother a couple days ago..... but it wasn't her...

Jan :earsgirl:

I hope you mean Michelle's mother as mine has been dead for 5 years!!!

I'm looking for pictures any time in the next 2 weeks. Do have the capability to make copies of Reefer Madness? I'd like to have that if you are able to make a copy of it. Thanks.

You'd love my presentation for grandparents. It's all about being aware of what's out there, how and why kids use and all that grandparents, aunts and uncles can do for early prevention.

Our popularity is from mixing humor with a very serious, dry, boring, depressing subject. We've become experts at combining humor with science to make it fun.

Yes, I'm following the problems in Britain of all kinds of addiction, behaviors and their research on THC. There are quite a few countries that have banned energy drinks now. Since they are not regulated by our FDA here they are running away with the money until they do become regulated. There are thousands of hospitalizations here that are mimicking cocaine overdose, it is the Taurine and Caffeine mixed together that is causing a synergistic effect harming the heart and causing heart attacks. When it's mixed with alcohol it is a disaster to the brain, stomach, liver and CNS as well as the heart. Bar owners and Red Bull are well aware of it, but they are all making money hand over fist, so they don't care what is happening to people. It's a fascinating story. Very reminiscent of the tobacco industry. :scared1: :scared1:

The biggest thing that sparked our teenage drink problem(if they were going to need anything) was the availability of 'Alchopops'. Do you have them there?

I know we used to call it something and for the life of me I can't remember. Not sure if it was cotton wool or something else.

Then of course there were lots of terms I grew up with that I'm sure have fallen by the wayside ... I remember my mother going to the "crockery store," which was a place that sold things for the kitchen. I also remember grocery stores, and dairy stores, where they made their own cottage cheese and you bought things like butter that was measured out of a big crock and then bought by weight.

I do remember butter being sold by weight and being patted into a nice shape with wooden paddles, then wrapped neatly in greaseproof paper. Sugar and flour was always weighted out and again tipped into thick brown bags and neatly folded over. I don't think we had cottage cheese till I was grown up. We did however have dripping sandwiches. Sukie might remember.

No I am not as old as Sukie, thank you ever so large.

He is 4 years older than me. George was still on the throne, his mother had a ration book for him and the festival of Britain was in full swing.

Remember one thing. One thing only and never forget it ... I'm the young one.

(Addendum - When I was born, "Kiss Me Kate" was the big hit on Broadway.)

Hi Kids...not caught up yet....

Well, they totalled my car....but they haven't called me with the $$$ amount they will be giving me, so no shopping can begin yet!:sad2:

...back to catch up...

.

I was born during the Mary Poppins age... :goodvibes

Hey Ian... are we starting our countdowns to our birthdays??? Could get big... look at what they did for Nan... or rather... what Nan did for Nan...:flower3:

Thanks!

West Side Story won best picture the year I was born. Ironically I Tivo'd it yesterday.

In the Heat of the Night won for the year I was born

I think we were still in the silent movie era when I was born!!:lmao:

On a brighter note, Tyler was such a good kid at the jewelry party! He was my helper, helped to set up, then kept himself occupied in the other room most of the time, coming out occasionally to see what we were doing and hanging around out of the way. I asked him to pass out pens and catalogs and anything I could think of to include him, and everybody commented on how patient and well-behaved he was. We were there almost 4 hours and not one single complaint from him. Her even helped me take everything down and put stuff away afterwards. Now THAT'S the real Tyler. I told him many times how proud I was of him for behaving so well and being such a good helper. He seemed proud of himself too. :thumbsup2 I told him when I get paid from this show, he gets a small bit of it too.

Well done Tyler. Was it a good party for you Holly?

wow 31 pages into a new thread and no V!

What is the world coming to?

I am happy to report I finished my first MBA class with an A people!! Don't know how, but I pulled it off.

Well done!!:thumbsup2

can anyone get me up to speed?

Love the photo Nan. Looking forward to seeing more from the musical (one of my favorites).
