The movie he won for was "All the King's Men" and he had a TV show in the 50's called "Highway Patrol".

West Side Story won best picture the year I was born. Ironically I Tivo'd it yesterday.

No big story there really, but he was surprised a 20somthing ''girl' knew who he was. Now, the story about dancing at the Playboy Club with Robert Lansing is something else altogether. Here's a picture of him from the Star Trek episode he did.

He looked familiar so I had to look him up - he was in Empire of the Ants with Joan Collins. Ya gotta love giant bug movies (which I do)

Thanks Holly - I do miss her and others. So sad, but understandable, that so many don't post.

Would be nice to know how people are doing - after all we prayed for folk, chatted for months, got to know them as much as you can, and then this is it!!!

Ah well, we have to get used to the passing of time I suppose.

Oh, I predict many of us will keep on communicating, so don't worry! No reason to say goodbye to new friends, thanks to the wonderful internet!

Well, I got up at 5am to get all my work done and then took off with Zoe to DL. We spent the entire morning at Toontown playing and ate lunch. Then she took her birthday money to the World of Disney to buy her first snowglobe. She was very excited. It was very cute. Then back to work and to say hi here.

Michelle, just say the bottom of your post about your family - that is too sweet.

Sounds like a wonderful day Kelly. Very cute about Zoe and her birthday money.

Holly, I don't know what to say or how to console you or Tyler. I thought about this all day. I know this is terribly difficult for both of you and wish both of you the strength you need.

Thanks Ian. I know you saw the bad side of him quite a few times since your room was so close to ours, but that's not the real Tyler. He was fine by the time we got to school, and tonight before his bedtime book we talked about it, and he told me he was just having a rough day and that he just woke up feeling bad. I just do whatever I can to try to comfort him and keep reminding him that all these doctor appointments are to try to find a way to help him. I really think he understands that because he never minds going to any doctor visit at all and especially likes "the talking doctor appointments", meaning the psychiatrist and psychologist. I'm anxious to hear what the doctor will tell us tomorrow. I suspect they'll give him an anti-depressant, but of course, I'm no doctor, so we'll soon find out.

On a brighter note, Tyler was such a good kid at the jewelry party! He was my helper, helped to set up, then kept himself occupied in the other room most of the time, coming out occasionally to see what we were doing and hanging around out of the way. I asked him to pass out pens and catalogs and anything I could think of to include him, and everybody commented on how patient and well-behaved he was. We were there almost 4 hours and not one single complaint from him. Her even helped me take everything down and put stuff away afterwards. Now THAT'S the real Tyler. I told him many times how proud I was of him for behaving so well and being such a good helper. He seemed proud of himself too. I told him when I get paid from this show, he gets a small bit of it too.

Goodnight everybody. Migraine came on sometime this evening and my head just needs to lie down. Oh well....I made it 9 whole days without getting one! That's probably a record for me, other than when I was pregnant.

Whoever gets the best replacement vehicle! Yep, I got the word they are not fixing mine, but not the phone call from the 'total your car' agent telling me how much $ I'm getting. So, no shopping yet.

Man, I can't remember the name of it. It was just north of the 625 or 645 N. Mich Ave building...maybe on Erie (?) Can't even remember the order of the e/w streets any more. It was 1972 I think....lord, I was only 22!
