I am at the beach house and it is FREEZING!! (20 degrees or so) I have to drain the pipes and shut the house down for the winter tomorrow.

All day today I shopped at the outlets for Christmas. I am tired. Sitting by the fire watching TV.......

All the kids and DH stayed home in VA. Daniel is done exams on Wednesday....so we get to see him soon!!

I'm in the middle of trying to decide to do some WDW time before my Tortola cruise...OR...booking the Western afterwards! These folks doing the B2B have me soooooo jealous. Hmmmmmmm....wonder if Cheri would like to share her cabin and save some $$$$$. Hmmmmmmmm...wonder when Cheri comes home (tomorrow perhaps). Mybe I should run this idea by her. ALTHOUGH, sure would like a few days at WDW too, especially to play with Ian and Sukie....such a delima! Guess I'd better run some numbers.

OH NO! And there's a Cold Stone less than a mile from my house! I think I eat more ice cream in DECEMBER than any other time of the year...just because Peppermint is so readily available.

Found this photo...it will serve to illustrate just how much sister Di and I look alike. (The lady in the photo is my Aunt Laura, who is still alive and kicking at 85....wish we had HER genes)

Well, I actually got a mess of errands taken care of today. Now my hips are aching so I may have to medicate (ibuprofen or vodka?) tonight. Did finally fill my perscription so I can start my weekly dose of bone medicine. Got supplies for the office grab bag (Banfi and Dove dark chocolates) and some stockings and stuffers for my fellow assistants from the dollar store. Got 'desk supplies' like mini emory board, nail clipper, Tide stick, purse size Kleenex pack, hand sanitizer, some chocolates and a small double-sided picture frame. Was hoping to find a small sewing/repair kit thingie...my look at Target or Walmart tomorrow. But the BEST thing was a small (airplaine size) bottle of Jack Daniels. I'm well know for the comment "This isn't anything that four fingers of Jack Daniels wouldn't cure." So it's the perfect thing to include.

Had to stop at Cold Stone when I was all done.....BLAME HOLLY! Had the smallest serving of the dark chocolate peppermint and it was yummy, that's for sure.

Finished up another round of Christmas cards and will drop them at the post office tomorrow. Speaking of cards....THANK YOU MARILYN~YOU ROCK! Received cards from Holly & Tyler, Lisa & Darrel, and Mr & Mrs Woody too! So far, all cards received are from DIS pals.

Wonder if there's a good holiday movie on tonight...I need some couch time!

I'm having a margarita ans scrapping my fingers to the bone. Soon to have dinner and we are enjoying "Love Actually" Hugh Grant, so funny...

I should be wrapping the two presents I bought today....but I'd have to clean off the dining room table first...

Still haven't bought anything for Peg and Jose....still waiting for their Christmas lists! Never know what to get Jose beyond book and/or movie gift cards...both of which are things he'd use, so I guess they are not a bad choice. (Both gifts I would want!)

Getting a little hungry for my dinner, and it's already 8pm...maybe I'll just have some soup.

Hi Jackie! I think book & movie gift cards are perfect.

My head was pounding most of the day at work, it stopped for about 3 hours and is now starting to pound again, so I'm going to hed to bed early and hopefully get rid of it again. I do have to say, I haven't had a migraine in quite some time, so I can't complain.

Windy tough drive down the CA coast today. BUT, we were greeted by an evening at DL as a reward for surviving it! Small World is back up and running, but the crowds were HUGE tonight and the lines long, so we will save that for another day. It is supposed to rain a bit tomorrow so maybe that will keep the crowds down! I wonder why all those people are not out doing their Christmas shopping instead of hanging at DL. What are they thinking??

Well, I finally finished the Christmas Cards as we sit here watching Lost Boys the sequel. Its a lot more graphic than the original which I really liked when it came out. I listened to the soundrack repeatedly. Well time to watch the big final battle and head to bed.

I did not want to get out of bed this morning. I had at last this week achieved the maximum cozy factor, but, I had to get my butt out of bed to go to work (WW) today.

I had a heads up warning yesterday from my receptionist that our "boss" is coming to observer a meeting today. This is my WW manager.

What fresh hell is this? I am not particularly warm to this week's topic. With my luck, she'll come to my 11AM meeting. The one where everyone stares at me and says nothing. Unlike my 8AM meeting where everyone talks and are very interactive.

You can hear the crickets and see the tumble weeds blow past in my 11AM meeting.

Yuck!

On another note, I had started to settle in to watch "It's a Wonderful Life" on NBC last night, when I saw the title come up "The running time of this film has been altered to fit with <something something>"

I ended up turning it off. They edited "It's a Wonderful Life" so that they could fit in more commercials?

I'll give it a pass this year. It will probably appear on a satellite channel unaltered. I'll watch it then.

Ian, hope your manager shows up at the earlier meeting. I always hated the meetings (or days) when the group just sat there like a lump. Wish I could be there to 'whip your audience into a frenzy'!

Well, my head is still pounding, so we're skipping church today. I'm so tired, I can't even think straight. I have to start remembering to go to bed early on Saturday nights because for some reason lately, Tyler has been getting up at 5am on Sundays. He climbs in my bed and tries to lay there waiting for daylight so he can wake me up, BUT he tosses and turns and hums and taps on the wall, etc. So then I have to tell him to GET OUT OF MY ROOM, I'm grumpy, he gets grumpy because I'm grumbling, etc. I'm NOT a morning person and don't want to get up before daylight. He needs to learn that if he wants to get up before dawn, FINE, just stay in his room.

Well, I'm about to fall asleep sitting up, so I'm off to try to sleep more. I'm such a grump when I get woken before I'm ready.

Last Friday I came home after watch Keith's singing at the Border (coffee shop) and my head start thumping thumping and two hours to go for work. I went to bed for a hour and still same and I took the tablets and went to work and less sore head.
