We've done it too but I'm just trying to weigh the pros and cons. I really don't care. We do need to start thinking about our camping trip though because some of the places we have to book 7 months in advance.

Book? Camping?

Exactly how do you camp? Do you just find a flat spot amongst some trees and pitch your tent and voila instant camping? Just make sure you don't put it near water.

Well it looks like everybody is split between Feb and Sept for our reunion in CA and DL. I talked to John about it and we won't be able to do it at all in 09 unless we start cancelling plans already made. We don't want to do that. Since we usually go away and do mouse every april and september and since we're booked for both in 09, we are going to push it off until 2010. We'll do it in April. I know it's a long way to wait, but maybe more people can make it if it's planned out that far in advance.

We don't want to give up on doing it. We're determined to make a CA reunion out of it if nothing else. We just couldn't choose what to cancel for 09 that's already booked. We're meeting with Monica and Marilyn for tea in April 09. We also have lunch paid for with the Princesses at the Castle. I don't want to lose that money already spent. So we're going to WDW in April 09. Then Sept 09 is our b2b cruise. John really does not want to cancel the second week and he said it would be impossible to add a week in CA after a b2b.....just not enough time off and too much money. He's right and I can't cancel if he really wants to do it.

That leaves our next available time to do it in April 2010. That will work out nicely too because we can just fly there and stay a week and fly home. Easy. Then our cruise in 2010 is not until Christmas. We'll really want to do DL in April. So I'm locking it in. We'll be in CA for a week for April 29, 2010.

That leaves enough time for everyone to be able to plan it out and join us for some fun at DL. We would love to have a reunion with as many Thieves as possible. We may just make a tradition out of it. We'll do WDW and/or DL alternating every April.....then we'll cruise every Sept. each year. That will work out nicely. And we'll get to keep seeing our friends on the left coast.

I'm sorry that we have to wait so long, but it will be worth it and we're not giving up doing it. We're looking forward to it. Then we'll be able to keep doing it every other year thereafter. We just have to wait it out to get it started. John said it wouldn't be worth going for a few quick days after the b2b and I would agree. He said lets wait and go for at least a week when we do it. I would agree. We're coming April 2010. It'll go really fast, wait and see. And we can have fun planning it out until then.:yay: :yay:

Well that just sounds like we need to do a reunion in 2009 and then do it again in 2010.

Sound like a plan to me.

Did you ask for something???

Here is the quick and dirty version:

Here is one with a little more finish to it:

My long lost son!!!!

Gaylean, Here's my 2 cents

x2 - 2x -63.
In order to solve, look at the front first: x2 must come from x times x.
Next look at the end 63 must be 9 times 7. And its negative, so either the 9 or the 7 are negative.
Finally look at the middle -2x = so that works with 7x-9x.
So you've got (x+7)(x-9)

Hopefully that makes some sense, but I'm not very good at explaining on line:)

Ya, what she said!

April to mid-May 2009 is certainly out for me for any reunion as we will be in the middle of a Provincial election and I have just been hired to work for one of the candidates in that election.

For Gaylean and how warm/cold it is in the summer.

This is the drive on the highway to a campsite up here in August. The white stuff on the side of the road isn't white sand.

Ah Marilyn, you take me so seriously.

Yes, I do have a holiday in December, but it is just a minor one.

:lmao: I did think you were being funny as usual, but couldn't just think of what to reply, so thought a cultural post would be good!!!:rotfl2:

Hi everybody....got off work at 6pm, home at 6:30, and my jammies by 6:35! I just can't get used to it being dark already at 6pm! so weird!

Last night, elves came and decorated all of Walt Disney World! My resort (the Beach Club) is so beautiful! And the traditional gingerbread and chocolate carosel seems to be more beautiful than usual! I am going to the Festival of the Trees at the Orlando Art museum this Friday....it's for support of the museum......and there are RAFFLES!

Sorry you are having so much trouble with your leg again, Deb!

Did I tell everyone that we are staying at Fort Wilderness from Dec. 21 to dec 25! I am so excited! we had some DVC points that had to be used up, and we've been thinking about the camping cabins....I am going to take a little Christmas tree and lights to decorate.:santa:...also we are renting a golf cart, and I will bring some garland and battery powered lights for it. Won't it be fun to drive around at night and look at all the campers decorated! :drive:

We actually have our heat on today, I sure hope it warms up again soon!

Can't weit to see the decorations again. We will also pop along and see you Connie. Are you there every cruise sailing day? We are staying at the Beach Club from 12th to 16th Dec, over Mousefest.

The Fort Wilderness experience slounds magical.

I need to start posting more. I want to hit 10,000 first. I think you have to chase the tag fairy :confused3

You need to get posting then!!!!

She would really have 50,000 if she didn't multi quote :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I have only been here a year so I GUESS I'm just as bad.

This is true. I have to multi post though!!!!!

OMG! I'm also approaching 10,000 posts!

.

The race is on!!!:rotfl:

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I'm giving up :confused3

I am definately not setting any records ;) , but I am so thankful to have used my posts wisely ;) :goodvibes Can't imagine not having chatted with and met up with all of you :grouphug:

Kathe

That is how I feel too.

So I have to take the high school exit exam and I found a practice test online. I got one problem wrong and I can't figure it out. Is there any mathematicians out there?

factor the following trinomial
x2-2x-63

I know you use the foil method to work my way backwards but I can't remember letters in front of numbers. The answer is

(x+7) (x-9)

but wouldn't that be -2x-63

Help :scared1:

Yep - we'll be at Mousefest with Marilyn. And of course I will take tons of pictures. This will only be the 2nd time we've been at WDW during the Christmas holidays so we're pretty excited about it.

Plus we are both going to the Dis Mania Podcast meet on the Saturday night of Mousefest!!!!:dance3:

Well, I leave for the Magic in 36 hours and I have not started packing. I have to pack for 4...but Daniel just e-mailed me and asked me to put a list together for him what he should bring.....easier to just pack for him. Oh well.

I hope you have a wonderful cruise Lisa, and great family time within the huge group!!!

Good Morning All Sentient Life Forms (and Nan).

So, is today really Thursday?

A bit of a problem. Somehow, my alarm clock broke and started going off at 3AM, so I'm a bit sleepy this morning.

I also, at 4AM ordered a new alarm clock. I have a Westclock Moonbeam alarm clock. It's a good old fashioned analog clock and instead of a bell or buzzer going off, a light starts to flash dimly and slowly and then after a few moments gets brighter and brighter and faster and faster in it's flashing. Then finally a few minutes later, if I haven't shut it off or hit the snooze a bell starts.

I find the flashing light a much gentler and much less jarring way to wake up. So, now I have to get a new one.

I also don't like digital clocks, not at least digital alarm clocks. They're evil.

The target of Sukie's column this week is someone at Disney. Apparently someone with Disney in California gave $5000 to the proposition 8 ad campaign.

By the way, I've been seeing some sales around on Blu-Ray DVD players ... so here is some unasked for buying advice. Be aware of some of these deceptive "deals."

The players on sale are the older "profile" players. The "profile" is the version of software or firmware. The older players are not easily upgradable to the new software and do not have hard drives. So, these sales are really a liquidation of outmoded stock. So ask questions before you buy. Not that any of you are going Hi-Def, but just some friendly advice anyway.

I have a sense that today is going to be a high pressure day.

For some bizarre reason, I check my work email last night (something almost never do) and I see that there is now an 11th hour crisis with the project from hell that I'm on that's going to throw a monkey wrench in the works. Now, with only 48 hours before we start our final march to production. Not looking forward to that, especially in light of the fact that I woke up so early and will be dead tired today.

Thanks :thumbsup2 We've been thinking of getting one and would have had no idea what to look for.

Hi all. I stayed home from work today with a migraine and complete exhaustion. Woke up from my phone ringing, it was Tyler's dad, I refused to answer because he's probably telling me he's on his way to pick Tyler up from school and I'm too stressed to hear about it. Took one of those rescue pills the doctor gave me.

Tyler has only lasted a few minutes in class almost every day for quite a long time (both with and without meds) with the exception of last Thursday and Friday. Those days he lasted close to an hour in class each day, but with major incidents almost every few minutes, and the teacher has him leave when he's too much of a disruption.

So the school is having another meeting with us on Tuesday 12/2. He's not learning anything because he can't stay in the classroom. The teacher has to lock him out, then he starts banging on the glass window and the door, stacking chairs to try to climb up high enough to climb through the small window at the top of the door, throws desks and tables in the hallway because he's angry that he can't be in class. He's still hurting kids in class almost every day, but not as extreme as before. He kicks, shoves, punches, throws things at, etc. Yesterday he knocked over a desk, things on the desk went flying, and a pencil flew off the desk and into another student's eye. It's just awful.

Just had to vent, sorry. There's not much that can be done, other than a different classroom in the elementary school in the same district just down the road from his school, but the only difference there is that the teacher has 2 helpers. Well, that's sort of what's been going on in his current class because the social worker and special ed teacher come and assist with no luck. The only thing they can do is have him in physical restraint, which they do, I've learned it's called a CPI hold, I have to google what that is because I have no idea, they do that until he stops fighting. But that's no way to spend a school day.

I thought about moving up Tyler's next med check that's scheduled for 12/4, but one of the meds he's on (the one that's supposed to reduce the fight or flight response by supressing that chemical in the brain that causes that) can take 4 weeks to start working, and it's only been 2 weeks. I guess we need to remind the school to try to be patient another 2 weeks so we can see if it works. :guilty:

Not exactly.

They're more like Minneapolis and St. Paul, or Kansas City, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri ... but with better night life.

:sad2: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Well, this is fun....sitting at my computer at nearly 8AM. I DON'T HAVE TO GO TO WORK TODAY. Just waiting for Peg & Pam to wake up and call. Don't know what we are doing today, but Peg wants to go to the midnight showing of "Twilight" tonight. This is the girl who has trouble staying awake past 8:30PM. :lmao: Something tells me we'll be seeing this movie during the day on Friday.

Told sister-in-law about the transAtlantic cruises in 2010, she's considering joining us on the WBTA. They are a lot of value for your cruising dollar, that's for sure.

...time to get a hot cup of tea....
...later kids...

.

Holly, sorry to hear all that about Tyler at the moment. No wonder you are stressed and exhausted.
