I think many of us are in limbo with the market conditions.
My plant was down for the last 2 weeks, and now they've announced the shutdown over Christmas will be for 3 weeks. We usually run 7/days a week, 365 days a year. The good news is that I'm management and we don't get layed off, but there's 75 people that just got told they get 3 weeks with no paycheque (employment insurance will cover some) but there's a lot of grouchy people at work. Does not make for a happy day.

I'm on the financial side of it... and I'm getting a headache just watching it every day...

Wondering if there will be a paycheck let alone a bonus...

I lost my bonus last year, and again this year, but at least I know I've still got the paycheque and they did give me a 2% raise in October, so I'm overall happy, but its sucks hearing all negative all the time.
Today was the last day of the shutdown, so things were pretty calm. I took my team out for lunch (almost 2hours) but I have good employees and its nice to get away from the negativity and go chat about non-work stuff

Good morning. Busy night.

I don't know. I'd love to, but since I doubt we'll be able to afford to cruise for a couple years, I plan on taking Tyler to WDW right when school gets out as a late birthday present because his birthday will be just about a week before school gets out. What I'd do is wrap up a bunch of pictures of where we're going and see if he can figure it out. So I doubt I could afford 2 trips in one year. Maybe I could plan on the CA trip coming from my tax refund. I'll have to give it some thought. But I wouldn't be able to take him out of school because of how much extra help he already needs. I'd hate for him to get even further behind than he already is.

When are you planning to go to WDW Holly? We are there until June 9th.

So guess what happened today?! It was 5:05pm, I was still at work, was trying hard to get out at 5, but had been super busy all day, so it just wasn't working out for me. My cell phone rings, I look at it and see it's Tyler's dad. I almost ignored the call because I REALLY wanted to get out of work and was trying to wrap up some final things. Well, I knew he'd probably just picked up Tyler, so I figured I'd better see what he wanted. Good thing I answered because he was calling because Tyler wanted to tell me something.

We could plan to go to another destination too. It just seemed like Deb wanted to come here and a lot of us live here.

Apparently splash pants isn't a universal term. They are plastic pants (usually lined with jersey material) for kids to put on over their normal pants so they stay dry when they play outside in mucky, cool weather

I've still never heard of them. Neat idea.
