The Champagne Girls were a big hit, but I'll never do that many again. I'll keep it a closed event with just the originals and friends. I'll cut it off at 50. It's more manageable that way. This was fun, but it did get a little out of hand.

They were actually a big hit. I thought they would never wear them again, but they liked them. I found them online. I'll send you a link when I get my laptop back. I'm on the netbook. John is doing a system restore on my laptop. It could take a while.

I think they look great!!! (then again I love the guys wearing them!!! )

Well, my sliding glass door is stuck... won't open. I've tried removing the handle because it's the little latch that is stuck. but I can't get it to move. I'm afraid I might have to take the moulding off the door frame to get to it. I can get a replacement kit at Lowes. that's one good thing...

Until then... I guess it's indoor things to do today...

Some did take advantage....there's always a few bad apples in the bunch when there's that many. I think we had somewhere around 90 ladies. For the most part it was fun and went well. DCL didn't listen as usual. I wanted the Cabana boys to pour not DCL.....so when we got there the glasses were all lined up and poured and ready to go. It cost more that way. Especially since John said some ladies were spilling out the $100 a bottle Tattinger and wanted more of the $30 a bottle Rosa Regale. That got way out of control and drove the price right up. Well it's over and it was fun. It will be different next time.

Next time you have it in a nice shady spot.. with a few friends and everyone bring your own bottle!!!

I don't know if I want to go that informal. It still needs to be festive. We just need less people. Maybe the cut off will be 40. And everyone knows everyone. Much more fun and very manageable.

You have a very valid point. If you privately invite the peoiple you want and keep mum about it you can have it the way you want. Just ask DCL to reserve a room and if everyone brings a bottle and some cork screws there is no charge for bubbly, right?

then if the DIS thread members start asking if you are doing it again, say "No, the Hawaii Cruise CG party was overwhelming." A private party is just that, private.

Yup, it's time to take it underground. It's gotten way too big. We'll keep it a secret next time.

It cost all of the money that I collected plus the amount that I budgeted that I usually spend and then it still came in way over.....more than double my budgeted amount that I wanted to spend. It's DCLs fault....they just kept opening up bottles and pouring. I wanted John to be in charge of that and he wasn't. I specifically asked for that and they did not follow my instructions. OH WELL, it's all water under the bridge now. We did have fun despite the sommelier not doing a good job either. I look at it as a success since mostly everyone had a great time.

I will never forget how wonderful Champagne Gilrs at Panama Canal as I was nervous to go myself but it turn out I enjoyed it.

Finally I contact Dreams Unlimited to cancel the Fantasy Cruise last Friday.

I got email from DU that they will refunded full deposit.

I feel sad

Oh well I know we will be back with Disney in one day.

Beautiful out today, but it's HOT!!!! Will be doing any outside work a little later in the afternoon - closer to dinner.

Sliding glass door still stuck. Watching lots of videos about what to do.. all of which are way over my head... I used to have a friend nearby who was into construction... but they moved... I'm NOT having fun this weekend!!!

I couldn't agree more, Marilyn. For our first one we only had 30 and that was our best one yet. I think I'll have to go back to that format. And only originals and maybe a tag along friend. I think we'll enjoy ourselves much more that way. Let everyone else organize the big ones with everyone on the thread coming. I'll keep ours secret and small.
