Today is a new day....I've moved on with a little help from my friends and family. They are only materialistic things and they mean nothing. The love and support of the people in my life is all that matters. I fear that Tom will never find that unless he drastically changes and grows up. I feel rich in love because of my friends and my family. AND I thank all of you for being so kind and so supportive. It would be a lot harder without all of you.

We're here at my brother's house... 25 people give or take... I've filled up on the yummy horsey dourvies... which is good, cause I don't know if there will be any bird left by the time I get there...

We decided to come south today... the weather was crappy and I didn't feel like driving in the rain and sleet...

Staying until Saturday... Will and I have decided to go to Bishoff's tomorrow for lunch instead of going to the movies...

I'll check in again before I go back to NY...

Well the turkey has been eaten, the Black Friday shopping has been done and we're doing well with our head start on Christmas. One more month and it's the end of another year. SO hard to believe since the last one went way too fast. On the bright side, we get to retire and move near the mouse. That's a plus.

How was everyone's turkey day? Hope it was a good one. Did anyone else shop Black Friday? Any good bargains? I bought Kris the XBOX with the controller for $150. That's really good. I got movies and PC games for the kid at well reduced prices. Ray got a Marines calendar. Me and John are forfeiting gifts this year since we're cruising to Hawaii.

I'm using the same little Christmas tree that I bought in a pot last year. It came with it's own lights and ornaments scaled down to size. I'll have enough presents to wrap and put under the tree so it will be festive, but simple.

Michelle, I think it's time to get the Christmas card list updated and distributed. I think we have to get a new address for Mandy and Mark. I think they moved since last year. And we have to add a '1' to Bubba and V's address. Let me know if you want to do the list or if you want me to do it. I know you didn't feel like it last year. How are you feeling this year?

I have not cooked Thanksgiving for 5 years or more because we ate with our son's in-laws who love to cook. I took wine and got off easy.

So
I had a great conversation with my sister and planned the schedule for preparation. It all went well except I was about an hour late.
But
That was good because our son, Ted got here from Bowling Green, Kentucky at that time.

We had good food, conversation and he troubleshot some computer issues. We went to see the Muppet Movie together.

He headed back Friday so he could visit
High School friends and help with an on-line gaming test run for a
Yet-to-be released game.

Our Christmas is easy--checks to the kids and Hawaii cruise for each other. Last year we got a wish list for Sophie, ordered on line, had it shipped to their house and I put things in gift bags for distribution.

We're off on our way home to NY... nice to visit, but I want to go home....
