Hawaii...October 14 2012....some TAs are taking wait list names....just in case.....

:grouphug: for EVERYONE!!!!

I am exhausted! It's from packing out Uncle Teddy last Saterday. It was hot and hard for me to stand up for long. I kept having to sit and work and sit and work. We got there at around 8am and left at 6pm. The air conditioner was turned off and it was very humid. He was only half way packed when we got there. So we had to finish packing of all his things and then load the truck. I thought that the young boys would be loading the truck and I would be supervising from a chair. NOT. I worked at packing all day and sweated the whole time.

I'm sleeping a lot this week. I have no energy to do anything. I feel like a wet noodle.

Besides that, I don't even know if they made it to Florida yet. I have called and sent texts and no response. So now I just texted my cousin that lives there already to see if they arrived yet. They left Saterday night. I know they had to go slow because they were driving a 24 foot truck while towing a car. But still.....shouldn't they be there already? It only takes me and John two days. We leave today and stay overnight along the way and get there tomorrow. They must be doing a lot of overnights along the way. I need to know that they arrived safely.

Deb, I hope you're able to get lots of rest this week and hope you hear word soon that they arrived safely.:hug::hug:

Shell, how's Scotia? Is it starting to dry up? I hope things return to normal soon.

Holly, Did you get to celebrate your birthday at all yet? Remember Jan says it's your birth season....so plan some special things to do for your birthday with Tyler and have some fun!!!

Hi Ann and Albert.....it won't be long now since it's September. We will be sitting together in Ohana enjoying all that delicious food. Are you also booked on the April Hawaiian cruise? Me and John are.

Hi V....awesome pictures of your great adventures in Alaska. To see the wild animals that close up in their natural habitat is just incredible. What an experience. Thanks so much for sharing.

Hi Deborah....what have you been up to lately. You are hardly on here anymore. We miss you!!!

I think Marilyn and Shannon and Ken have abandoned us completely. It's sad, I miss them.
Deb, no, I didn't celebrate. I've not been getting home until about 8pm all week. I'm not a birthday celebrator though. For me, getting birthday cards and Happy Birthday wishes makes me happy and I don't want anymore celebrating than that. It just doesn't mean much to me. My mom came to town last Saturday and took me & Tyler to lunch, then my dad and stepmom came the next day and took us out to lunch.

I bought myself a birthday cake on the actual day on my way home from work, hoping to only have a tiny piece. Lost control and had a HUGE piece (about 4 times what a serving should be). :guilty: That's my first experience losing control since re-starting WW, but I jumped back on track the next day. So I took the rest to work and begged everybody to eat the rest. :thumbsup2

We're booked on the Eastern Canada out of NYC on Sept 7, 2012 and guess who else just booked it? NANA and PAUL without the kiddles. YEAHHHHHHHHHH it's going to be a couples only romantic cruise. I'm really looking forward to it. Nana says we keep going under bridges together....the Americas, the Golden Gate and now the Verrazano. How special!!

Cool!!! :thumbsup2

Jackie, that's why I came on here, to spill the beans about this too! :rotfl: I knew you'd see it too, you just beat me too it! :thumbsup2

You get a birth SEASON!!!

& it's ok... Ian would tell you... that it's ok to take a day and have a treat just as long as you get back on program and you DID!!!!:banana::banana:

Well... that was one hell of a headache!!!!

I think I woke up with it - was shaky all day. Finally after dinnner I went to lay down and woke up 6 hours later... still hurting, but well... I'm sure it will clear up soon...

It was a crazy week... I guess it all just caught up with me. :confused3

So....if DCL does do a Hawaii cruise in October, are any of you booked for May now planning on jumping ship??

I must say that the timing in October is better for me, but I'm doing this for my friends on board, as much as the cruise it self.

I might be interested in either... I just want to be with some friends... :goodvibes

Sorry I've been MIA from here this week....FB is faster sometimes.

I'm enjoying my new position quite a bit....it is quite a lot slower than my old position, but it does allow me to do other things while I'm tied to the phone. I've been bringing a bin or box or bag into my office and then in between calls/emails, I'm sorting stuff & shredding. I've taken back control of my garage & once I'm done with the last few boxes/bins that I brought in from there, I can start moving stuff from inside back to the garage & work on the inside of my house.

I open up my computer at the same time that I open up the work computer, & turn on the tunes....until yesterday afternoon, I just had the local christian station on (zradio.com...you can listen thru the web too), but yesterday I was in the mood for some good ol' 80's music, so I googled it & found an internet based station that does 80's music. Some of the stuff is great but I will say I've had to say *** to myself a few times.

I've been able to do some of the Sophisticated Mouse work while being paid by the other place too :lmao:

Doing this double play doesn't make me want to get on line on the weekends tho.

I downgraded my phone....now I just have calls & texts....no more emails or FB from the phone for me. Saving myself $25/month. I finally got the ok from my parents to cut off the home phone too - the only reason I've had that was them (it costs more for them to call a cell vs a land line). I've been thinking of cutting of cable too (just keeping the internet) but I don't know if I can survive w/o tv.

I think that Oct. might be more popular and you might see lots of people move... especially since FP for April comes around Xmas this year...

I'll be sticking with the spring, as I'm not allowed any vacation mid-Sept through the election in 2012. (The reason I had to cancel the WBTA last year.) Actually, I don't even officially know if they'll give me two weeks in the spring...but I'll be calling in all the markers on that one.

I've given my new boss a "heads up" about the cruise....she's going to have to make an exception for the length of the vacation. She said she normally prefers that you only take 1 week at a time. If I have too, maybe I'll pull the "well, they knew about the cruise at my old account" ;)

Only reason I like October is the PIF date :rotfl:

Hi Deb,
All ready, apart from packing, transport to London Gatwick, boarding 4 legs' etc. and trying to grab a flight upgrade!

When we arrive at MCO and pick up the car rental, usually early evening and heading towards WDW as the sun sets, its like returning to a parallel universe.

See you soon

Oh yes and we are still on the April Hawaiian cruise! Haven't worked out what we do in Cal before the cruise.

I too have started to think about the fact that I have to pack. I have not yet done anything about it though.

We leave from a local airport and arrive at Sanford/Orlando....so I like going from small airport to small airport. We pick up our rental car.....a convertible for John and then we're off to Staybridge Suites....across the street from Downtown Disney. We love it there.

We arrive on the 28th and return home on Oct 3rd. So we only have four full days of play and they are chock full of plans and activities. I'm so excited. We love playing at the mouse's house. It's the next best thing to cruising on the mouse's boat. hahaha.

So very glad you are doing the Hawaiian cruise with us. That one is going to be special.

We will see you very soon. Is there any way to get in touch with you while you are at WDW? Are you still internet connected? Or should we just plan to meet at the Ohana dinner with the 40th Celebrations? Whatever works best for you is great with us. Getting excited to be going to see you and Ann and our pal Mickey very soon.

Deb, I hope you're able to get lots of rest this week and hope you hear word soon that they arrived safely.:hug::hug:

I am trying to get lots of rest this week, but something always comes up to interrupt. It's not like being alone in the house all day like I used to be. Tom brings lots of activity with his presence and his brother is coming in just four more days. Peace and quiet went out the window. hahaha.

I did finally get a text back from my cousin. He said that the "Wehrs boys" are bad for not letting me know, but they arrived on Tuesday. He said the truck was unloaded on Wednesday and they were furniture shopping on Thursday when I got the text. So all is well with them and I will see them when I'm in Florida in one month. I can't wait.
