We're OK. Been a crazy couple of days...no power for most of the day yesterday. One of the worst storms I have seen. Nothing like down south, though.

Yesterday DD called and told me she found out what a "code blue" is. She went to pick DGD's up from school to find police everywhere. A mother had called the school to tell them that her kid left home with a gun and threatened to kill another student.:scared1: This school is grades K through 8.:sad2:

Been waiting by the phone all day today as DGD had to go to the hospital for tests. She was up sick all night and her doctor thought it might be appendicitis. DD just called. It is gastritis and DGD is feeling much better.:thumbsup2

Bet you are sorry you asked!:rotfl2:

My nerves are shot.:headache:

Donna:goodvibes

Donna - Sorry to hear about all this. Sometimes it seems like there's no end to stuff. Hugs to you.

Sitting out on the front porch with my coffee, the dogs, and my new iPad 2, which I can't believe how much I adore. Cheri was a bas influence and forced me to get it..

I have been at my new job for 5 months. I just passed what would have been my 6 year anniversary at the insurance company. I was thinking about it the other day. So sas things became so horrible after the NY company bought us.

I really like where I am and returning to travel automation, the path that really launched my career 28 years ago. I was a travel agent before that, for 5 years before that (be you never knew that)!

Actually in about 4 weeks I'll be able to show off the results of my first project.

It's a nice place to work, though I'm still getting used to being the oldest person in the extended group. I still go through little culture shocks, like now that it's warming up, I saw someone at work in a t-shirt, shorts and flips-flops (personally I didn't think it was that warm). And yesterday afternoon at about 4:15 they broke out cases of beer.

I was actually a bit shocked, which in turn shocked me.

:grouphug: So Sorry. :grouphug:
knowing about a danger or problem and being powerless
to do anything is the worst stress in my book.

Now that it is over--how about silly movie that makes you laugh and a favorite meal of comfort food?

:grouphug:

PS: Did they find the gun? Was anyone hurt?

No one was hurt. I actually forgot to ask DD for details. Will have to ask her later. My mind was on DGD at the hospital. She is much better today.:thumbsup2

Funny you mentioned comfort food. We went out to Cracker Barrel for dinner. Got my favorite comfort food...chicken and dumplings. Watched the end of a great Cleveland Indians game. They won with a grand slam in the last inning. It was exciting even for me who couldn't care less about baseball. Then watched part of a Trans-Siberian Orchestra program on my DVR that I refuse to erase.:goodvibes

How is your beautiful DGD? I've said it before and I'll say it again...there is absolutely nothing better than being a grandma!:goodvibes

& we wonder why we hang around Cheri... I bet she'd have T&T on ipads too given a chance...

Mom said to tell you she knows what it feels like to be the oldest in the group... but it never stopped her from going out and having lunch with the group and a few drinks or two... ;)

Next week... bring the chips and some salsa:thumbsup2

A good ball game and a good concert after a good meal--way to go!! A good stress relief plan.

Our DGD is great. We saw her over Easter weekend. She did not remember us from our Christmas visit which is what we expected so we gave her time to warm up to us. We will see her on Sat. night before she, her Mom, Dad, Aunt, Uncle, 2 boy cousins and the other set of grandparents head home after their family trip to WDW and before we check out the DREAM. We also plan to set up a Skype account. Thanks for asking.

How is Harry and your family? How are the wedding plans coming along?

Found it at last... I was reading all pages last night...

We are back from US last Monday :sad1:

We had a great times on Freedom and one week in Orlando...

Freedom is a nice ship but very huge...

at first day, I disliked it because too busy at restaurant etc...then we walked around the ship and as it was a huge... On second day, we liked it and it was much nicer more space and plenty room and plenty chair or sunbed etc... We enjoyed it and enjoyed the eastern caribbean but weather was okay but heavy raining in the morning at st Maaten then dry it up we had the fun times with Bernard which was smashing...We saw at Maho which airplane came lower and we enjoyed it...

St Thomas - we went to skyline then at afternoon we went to Champagne cruise for 2 hrs with two interpreters to see sunset but it was light raining and didnt see sunset at all.. we had the fun too...

We had a beautiful balcony - huge - with two sunbeds and two chairs with table and beautiful view but not much sunset what I expected it :sad1:

Weather was very hot on sea day...and there was band on every day at near swimming pool - I enjoyed it...

Foods was good Ian think it better than Disney...

But we missed Magic.. but we enjoyed Freedom...

On first day, later we went to bar and I thought Ian was winding me up andhe said oh BBC I said very funny but he was right... woo hoo I had BBC lol...

At swimming pool, there are no foods there only on 10th floor, but ice creams served there...

Johnny Rocket - Amercian - pay for it 5.95 dollars etc also milkshakes which was nice - we had a fun times there... they welcomed you when you walked in they said HELLOOOOO and GOODBYE, middle of meals they took Olivia to dancing Grease - that was FUN...

We asked kids which one Disney or Freedom.. they said BOTH...Kids didn't went to kids club at all, Olvia went once and never went back and they stayed with us which was nicer to have family together...

It was good experience to see Freedom... but we like go back to Disney Cruise but we booked DeafWorldCruise on 2013.. ship will be EPIC or ALLURE...

We saw Dreams as it look so beautiful...

Second week - hotel was beautiful...

Weather was beautiful, hot and humid, sometime too hot for us...

WDW - terrible lol.. well apart from queue can be up to 2 hrs... We got fast pass but still up to 4 hrs to wait for it...oh terrible..

Same at Universal Studios too... Keith hate rides.. well when we went to Harry Potter's ride and Keith was refused then one staff explained not rough just easy...

Well, it was fast and rough rides... Keith was not happy with me but he enjoyed it (I cannot win)...

After that, another queue for 2 hrs we give it up and had walked around the park which was nice....

We told kids that we are not going back to park again.. as that happened at LA too too busy well...

Next times, no more park, relaxing or shopping as I missed shopping again.. I didn't go to shopping mall...:sad2:

At airport, ian bought Archos 70? I never heard of that but it is wonderful things...

Oh well it is over now and I feel blue...

Scottishwee35

I know it is a long way from Scotland... he said wait until later in future... but WHEN :confused3:lmao:

We met Marvin (Interpreter) and we met Jennyer (Interpreter) remember her she was on PC cruise with us... they were surprised to see us;)

Marvin was telling me about HAWAII, booked go fast...:sad2:

Roll on Lottery to see any LUCK:idea:

At Freedom, most people tell us to go to Hawaii and Alaska!!!

Weather at my home is beautiful... I wonder if we bring the sunshine back :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

but my family said that weather had been nice so far....

Scottishwee35

Glad you had such a good time and that you enjoyed your cruise too!

Glad you enjoyed the Freedom!!!

You unfortunately hit WDW during Easter week... :scared1::scared1::scared1:

Go back another time and it will be much better!!!

Back from Olivers... had my Benny... mom tried something new... Stuffed French Toast... I think I may have found a new favorite!!! (she ate most of it though and would have stuck me with a fork if I had tried to get the last piece...:rotfl2::rotfl2:)

yesterday we went up to the lake to see the flooding... Not sure if you saw the pics on FB... I'll post a few here (for Kathe...) I came home feeling sad... because I have been going up to the lake since I was 4... and the lake seems like a part of my family... and right now it's hurting... (actually it's doing what it's supposed to be doing naturally) but to see it all flooded was quite sad... felt very emotional...

I think this link may work to see the pics if you haven't already seen them...
